Have you disabled all the GPU settings so ALU controls them? Although you could limit the FPS with the GPU.

@sweet quarry @dire hinge After today's hotfix on Windows, I am experiencing higher GPU usage while using High Refresh Rate(144Hz in my case) which was much lower in the previous build. I am using an Nvidia's Ampere based RTX 3000 Series Card.

Also, the in-game store is not showing anything. My internet connection is not a problem and I can open the store in Android versions on my phone and tablet. Screenshot for same is attached.

Moreover, I am still unable to access my Legends Rewind. It is just stuck on preparing infinitely.

Please look into this and do the needful. Thanks for all the great stuff you guys do!

Might have to do with how different stores deliver the update. Even the original updates were 8.7GB for MS and 6.7GB for Steam. On Android, my phone got an 889MB update while my Tab got 181MB.

This is an old problem tha was never fixed, when you turn off the knockdown camera and you knockdown the police there is just silence, the only noise you hear is your turbo. the silence is supposed to be for the knockdown camera effect. Not crashing since the patch for me. Was turning unresponsive on exit sometimes, before the patch. Only other issue was slow loading shop the first time around, which is probably due to initial caching. Other people are experiencing random crashes though.

Haven't followed the threads, but to troubleshoot it, I'd lower all the settings, turning off audio, lowest video, etc. to see if it's a UI/app issue. If not, it may be the network, so closing off other apps, especially with background processes, might help. I'm sure someone's tried writing a guide to help troubleshoot the issue. Could be anything really: GPU incompatibilities, network instability, game bug. The fact that this is still going on for many seems to indicate there's no magic fix.

Ok, this is weird. I though I was having internet issues. So when no race (daily, special event or MP) was showing on my PC game, I installed it on my phone. It was working perfectly from the new created account. But as soon as I linked my account to the phone, Bam!! Now** its same as pc**, no races showing. Personally, I love the Purple 🤷‍♂️ The old UI looked horrible and cluttered imho, the new one is way cleaner. The old UI was getting way too packed with every feature they bolted on, a big reorganization was greatly needed.

"Nothing's changed to the format, just colors": There's less tabs on the main screen (merged Showroom into Special Events, the separate Split Screen tab on Swich once that gets updated into Multiplayer, etc), more spacing between everything which looks cleaner, the entire layout of the multiplayer menu to allow more items, the top bar isn't super crowded with a bunch of stuff you don't really need on every screen (do you really need to see your level at all times or the profile icon?), etc.

Yes it's still basically the same A9 under the hood with most menus being identical but they did simplify and move around some things to make navigation cleaner.

I just think Unite has been a great upgrade personally. It runs smoother on my own machine, design is way better (of course design is definitely subjective but I love the purple and white "glitchy" look, it oozes style), in game lighting is vastly improved, the new multiplayer while tougher is also just way more fun especially with MP2 now allowing any car, the co-op mode is the best thing they've done in a long time imho, etc.

Of course is it perfect? Definitely no. They still are very greedy with pricing, multiplayer does need some adjustments, I would rather not have a giant Unite Pass tab that looks different than the rest to "stand out for more purchases" when that should just be under Home, like mentioned earlier they need to re-add back a garage button that can be accessed everywhere, the Switch delay sucks, the fact co-op mode isn't always available alongside the other two, you can't do anything but Classic in private races, removal of Quick Race on the Switch version once that drops, and it does suck some lower end devices can't play something they spent a boat load on even if that doesn't personally affect me.

I know GL is a business at the end of the day. But I'm sure it could still make money (maybe even more) doing things differently. Like making all events 100% available to all players, F2P or paying. So no more Car Hunts for Unite Pass holders only. No more Special Events where the majority of players won't be able to progress past a particular car without spending money or precious tokens. And as for Drive Syndicate, there should be enough Pinned Missions to gain the necessary Syndicate Coins for Blueprints or Card Packs. Then the players have the choice of grinding or paying to speed up progression. The Showroom is a perfect example of this. It took me several grinding attempts to get the BMW i8 because of drop rate luck, but the option was there to spend money and get the car at the first attempt. I also think GL needs to halve the price of pretty much everything. Wouldn't more players spend more money if the prices were lower? I know I would. Lower prices / high volume can be just as profitable.

Unite crashes on me in Microsoft Store and Steam more than a few times in a couple of hours of game play.
I haven't had that happen in a long while in A9. It used to happen like that when I first started playing A9 in January 2023.

Surprisingly Unite plays on my slower computer but doesn't on my faster computer. A9 played on both before. Both are very old computers with 4th gen Intel processors and integrated graphics.

I already uninstalled and reinstalled the game with the latest mini update to Unite. I also have it set to low graphics settings.

This update is taxing the GPU, many users can confirm this. This behaviour is more pronounced on Nvidia's cards but others might as well be affected.

However if you are noticing CPU temps to rise, your laptop might share a common heatpipe with GPU. Make sure it is well ventilated and clean.

If it gets stuck, you can restart the game. Though, is the payment successful or your money deducted? If yes, you can restart and try waiting for about an hour more and contact support with transaction ID in case it still don't show up.

Generally, it do eventually pop up within an hour. You can restart the game if you have the transaction ID as proof.

According to the specs mentioned on the GL website, that should work at DX11_1 but what we have been seeing here and on reddit was that without DX12 support, apparently game's not opening at all. There might be some issue with particular Nvidia drivers and hence this development will help those yet to experience ALU.

As I explained yesterday the drivers provided by the official nvidia site do not take into account the structure and brand of the pc in use, but are generalized.This has been explained to me by both windows and asus developers. So the best drivers are provided by your pc’s site, example official site sony, asus, hp... etc. etc..

NVIDIA graphics drivers are not designed for any specific PC or system, they're only tested on the GPU they're made for, that's quite literally why NVIDIA recommends to use their GeForce Experience or NVIDIA app to update your drivers

The increased VRAM usage is due to the fact that new engine is slightly more demanding now. That's why it requires more resources, both in terms of raw horsepower and VRAM. The CPU usage is lower as your GPU is getting bottlenecked.

As I said, a fix is in works that should improve the performance but since ALU moved to a new graphics engine, it simply requires a better GPU. There's no way around that. The display resolution is equally important so you can try lowering it down to 1366x768 if it's on 1080p.

Brother, in all seriousness though, we have seen only DX12 FL11_1 being able to run the game. We are yet to see DX11 run this game.

It will mean that all DX12 Feature Levels are supported by ALU however DX11 compatibility is yet to be verified.

This also reminds me of a patch that Intel pushed for 4th Gen chips that deprecated the DX12 functionality in favour of mitigating a vulnerability. This might be the case that Nvidia also did the same with their 390.xx or higher build for Fermi and Kepler Chips. The solution for Intel was simple, downgrade the GPU driver; The same thing that works for Nvidia as well.

But Muttley meant to correct the DX11 mentioned on website. DX11 is apparently not supported at any FL. DX12 however seems to be supported at all FL, though Fermi/Kepler users need to downgrade the GPU driver to 388.xx build. You might edit the message in which you replied Muttley to avoid confusion.

Drivers seem to be the culprit. As I mentioned, Intel also did something to patch a privilege related vulnerability but solving that required cutting off the DX12 support. Fermi/Kepler Chips are from that time so may be they were fixed in the same way.
