This is definelty one of the most serious bugs this game has delivered and since it targeted to a specific amount of people that arenāt directly responsible for their losses.
In light of current game events, I say compensation should be one of 3 choices.
- Gemera Key ( star count is whatever the individual has it)
- Gamera unleashed support cars (direct unlock / 2* bps of each car)
- 8K - 10k tokens enough for atleast 10 (x10) packs for BOS.

as for the tests, a9 does not have a team of testers, and if there is, then only tests for accepting payments. I have never seen a single test in 5 years of the game's existence, everything always failed and lagged.

Each and every purchase is stored in your Apple account. This could potentially be a class action lawsuit due to the number of affected players.

Customer care in-game have not replied to me in 3 days- they usually respond within a few hours, and the general response on here is basically.. āWeāre working on it so be quiet & donāt discuss it or youāll be mutedā.

The other cars are free try because you donāt need to key to play the stage. Rimac concept one isnāt a key car therefore you need it unlocked to play its stage

I don't think it has anything to do with that button. Many players already said they didn't ask for deletion and I can't imagine someone with 224 cars and spending money on DS cars would ever touch that button.
There is some sort of mess up, and first wave they took the easy way out because recovering accounts from backup data is a messy task.

i have 0 trust in gl's developers, many bugs on macos go unresolved for multiple updates, and from an outsider's pov it should not be stuff that takes half a year to fix
No law can forbid you to backup your data. In case of disaster like hacking or hardware failure.
I'm also wondering what could go wrong. Storing a player's garage should be a comparably small text file that is easy to back up periodically ā but even if it is multiple relational database entries, backing up the data should be a very normal process.

i believe what ilwe is trying to say is that there are laws that force companies to permanently delete all data if the customer requests it, which for some reason GL;'s system thinks people are requesting, they have to delete it, hope this makes some sense lol and isnt just incoherent rambling

You have to permanently delete it, but it doesn't mean right away, and they can't force you to delete your backups just because a customer wants an account deleted. GL must have at least a week retention for backups. Anything else would be a irresponsibility.

The first time it was at least acceptable because its the first time this happened, it might've just been someone goofing up, and presumably whatever the problem is was addressed. But this shows that it was not addressed properly, and is concerning for the entire playerbase, because this is happening randomly, and no one is safe, as shown by insomnia. Like I said, you made zero responses to this account deletion, which is even more concerning because at least there was some feedback the first time it happened, at least give players some way to protect them from this.

Most account data is stored on the server, so no. Even taking screenshots doesn't help, there is essential data (table ids for example) that is not visible in the UI.

also to the 2nd message, i think the purpose of recording is so that cc can manually give the new account all of the bps etc on the old account, not actually restore it, hypothetically most of the important progression stuff is avaibile through the ui
If you show the upgrades on every single car, wildcards, epics, garage value, ID surely that is enough for them to theoretically recreate the account

Any company with a basic level of understand how servers work should know that they need to do periodic backups. It would be extremely irresponsible from their parts to not to do so.
So they should have a backup of all account with means they should be able to restore any lost account if they want to. They might not be able to restore it to how it was at the moment it was lost but for sure they can bring back to how it was a few days ago.
Would using the backups mean they would be resetting everyone elseās progress back to back up date ? If so probably why they didnāt do it last time

If you restore the entire backup on production, yes. But you can restore it somewhere else, and then copy only the data you're interested about in the production server.
I guess it is worth sending a message now asking that there is no incoming deletion and tell them that you will never request a deletion and that nobody else has access to your account.

The support team will not keep track of every request every player send them. Its literally impossible.
If you send a massage today saying that you don't want your account to ever be deleted no matter whatever request you send them in the future, they will just say to you ok and close your ticket.
And if in the next day you ask for your account to be deleted they will proceed to do so.
If my account were to be deleted it would not be due to me sending a request for it to be deleted (Because obviously I am not going to do that)

Here's my Opinion, it seems like they just delete Accounts in no recognising way, so we can't know if we are safe or anyone is safe
It also seems that the 30 Days, that they are legally obligated to (at least in the AppStore) and that when ever you try to enter A9, it will give you a screen that tells you that if you would proceed and enter the Game, the Account will be "restore" basically meaning that the Account Deletion will be cancelled and nothing else
If my Account was ever to be deleted with out any request I've sendend or without notifying me anyways or giving me my 30 Days that I also get to know about properly
I will most likely contact A9 first trying to get my Account back, if they can't do that, I will contact Apples Customer Support trying to get my Money back, if they can't do that I will start legal Actions... suing š¤
Guys my advice is just stop paying real money and little by little stop playing and delete the game before you lost your account suddenly. They will not fix it.. one month pass and i still donāt have my account back..
for the people who lost their accounts a month ago, gameloft already came out and said that the accounts will not be restored. according to them, it's because all of the wiped accounts supposedly had deletion request forms filled out. unfortunately for you, your account is probably never gonna be restored.
the good news, however, is this new wave of wiped accounts seems to consist entirely/mostly of people who didnt do anything and never filed any deletion requests. this way, gameloft will not be able to blame the playerbase as a cop out and actually has to give a reason.
if things go well, it means you will at least understand why your account was deleted.

I don't know what to think anymore, this situation irritates me so much. I already had such a situation with Asphalt 8, where I lost my account in which I even invested money for cars and I never got it back. I wonder if installing Asphalt 8 the day before I lost my account on A9 could have had some impact or it was a random coincidence like many here

Apple is giving refunds, but they can only go back so far. My suggestion to all who have had their accounts deleted who spent money in game is to start requesting refunds now. They are honoring refund requests and I am sure this will fall back on GL somehow, and rightfully so.
Same thing happened with me i was playing a9 suddenly after few hours when i restarted the game it directly took me to the page to enter age and then started the whole progress from day 1

Go to your app store, go to account, purchase history, select purchase, report a problem, request refund. Then wait. You can keep going back to as far as it allows you to. You can also contact them for additional credit and they can even go back a bit further. Good luck!

Iām at high 5G bars too so I know it isnāt that. Iām just having multiple connection issues and almost had my game glitch where I had to restart the app.

I just realized that GreedLoft invented a brand new racing mode - race against the server. The goal is to open the game and finish any race, before server disconnects you. Congratulations, you need to patent it asap.

If secondary support cars like Vulcan, Nismo, J50, Centenario, Lykan, FXX K are not available to play with in MP2 Season finale, why do they appear as rewards in blueprints and epic packs?
Since these cars haven't been available in Showcase and Currency Craze daily events for tokens and season tokens, they shouldn't appear in MP2 Season finale at all. Either in both parts of the game or none.

It's intended. Because they think if they don't give you 2-3 blueprints or one epic for free, you're more likely to spend real money in the shop. When it's exactly the opposite, if the game would feel more satisfying after grinding 30k, you're more likely to buy another epic. Instead when you reach 30k and receive only garbage, it feels more like quitting the game.
The 30k milestone is only for mp1 and second, they have put the wrong rewards in the mp packs before

My account disappeared on the 28th of November ⦠One hint for the mass deletion of A9 accounts/Player IDs could be the Update of Apple 17.1.2 which happened for me in the background this time. So it could be that the Upgrade forced A9 to quit and during this event the player ID was deleted. It is impossible that any of the level15+ drivers did this by their own will after spending so much time and money into the game. I tested and requested a delete of my new level1 account - I had to fill out a form with name and email and got a confirmation email. But still this account is active. So the deletion process of the player is totally different than what I have experienced with my level16 account. So it is very likely a bug that deleted so many accounts on Wednesday the 28th noon time.
That's interesting ā are there any specific hints that the update to iOS 17 could be tied to the account deletions?

The reason is account deletion requests, based on our investigation so far.
But if you do a deletion request you have to fill out name and email and get a confirmation of your request. What has happened here is an automatic deletion in the background ā¦
Every account the team looked at was found to have sent such a request.
On 28th of November I did not get any confirmation and I did not fill out any form - on 5th of December I made this request with the new Level1 account and got this :

If there was no name filled in or no email filled in that request - why did you do an automatic delete? An why do all player with this incident say they did not send the request. The question remains if you have a backup and can restore these accounts?
I'm gonna have to stop you right there, a large percentage of people here have admitted to making those requests themselves. On the other hand, we are still checking the reports of deleted accounts that claim they have not send a request, yet such requests appear to have been made in those cases. Could be account sharing, or something not identified yet. As for restoration, it is absolutely not possible.

I find it unacceptable that this is the best GL can offer. I have paid for Multiplayer Pass and I want to be sure I got the rewards I paid to get. I have no way to verify that since most of the rewards end up as Trade Tokens anyway ā but at least I want to know I got the packs I was supposed to get. My only option here is to get Apple to refund the MP pass since GL doesnāt want to provide any support to its paying customers.

I would say details are missing- when did you request a deletion. Did you get an email confirmation? I did a deletion request with my new useless level1 account two weeks ago to test this process - I got an confirmation by email and nothing happened. I did not send this request for my level16 account - it seems they deleted Player IDs connected to Facebook or Gamecenter or what ever without any confirmation or request ⦠probably a Programm error but they want to shift the blame back to us ā¦

I mean they could just make a new account for their players with the same in-game progress as compensation. This shouldn't be difficult for them, after all they are the f*kin devs.
They proclaim, that it is impossible to restore old Player-IDs/Accounts - they would rely on every affected players memory to build up a new fair garage comparable with the deleted Player-Id/Account. My garage had only level16 but I got through the last season nearly all favorite TD cars on Max. They would need to go into single personal discussions with their customers.
I had 64 cars- 10 important ones Gold/Max (Elisa, VW electric, H2 Speed, Evo Spyder, VANDA, AtI96, L-800, Koenigsegg Cc850) - with them I can play TOP1500 - they asked me this question already ⦠āProvide us with the details about the highest progress you reached on your old account: garage level, number of unlocked cars, your initial in-game username; your old player id if you have it saved.ā ⦠- but I am unable to memorize all 64 cars ⦠I am a software developer like Gameloft too. When I did a mistake I have to care for a Patch and restoration of the issue. Otherwise the trust in my company is gone. They can not delete Player-IDS/accounts without a deletion confirmation of the owner. They must connect each Player ID to a valid email address and allow a deletion only on this email confirmation. I think they do this now. But 4 weeks ago they cleaned up many Player-IDs without the will or a confirmation of the owner of this ID but on some foggy relations to old Game-Center names or whatever. The playerID must be a primary key with a 1:1 relation to the owner-email. The owner email is the primary key of the player identity.
