It uses part of your internal storage as "swap ram/virtual ram".
This partition is used to store cached, background and small processes, foreground apps & games will never use it since it's about 100 times slower than avtual RAM

You will never use more than 2gb so feel free to leave it on that setting

Samsung phones do a funny and set it to 8GB of swap for no damn reason
