It happened for a few races 2 days ago. The nitro bottles weren't giving enough nitro (the same small amount of nitro even from last place, even though it's the green strike mode), and stuff like drift and airtime just completely stopped giving any nitro at all.

Guys I was having problems with the game so i decided to install it from steam rather than ms store. Now i'm having problems with ads. There are NO ADS in there. How to fix?

recently they added what switch and ps5 players had instead of ads - now the game is effectively worse on steam if you have non-steam platforms linked to it

from 2022 when it released on steam and until early 2025 the steam version had no ads which made it superior

There are several strange things about the PC minimum and recommended requirements for this game.
I reported this issue to Gameloft when the Unite update was released, but since it still hasn’t been fixed, I’m posting it here.

• Since the Unite update, the game requires a GPU that supports DirectX 12 (Feature Level 12_0) to run. However, the listed GPUs — Intel HD 4600, GT 630, Radeon HD 6570, and Radeon HD 5850 — do not support FL 12_0. Therefore, including them as minimum or recommended GPUs is incorrect.

• The minimum requirements list i3-3110M or Ryzen 3 3300U, and the recommended requirements list i5-4460 or Ryzen 5 3400G, but the performance gap between the Intel and AMD CPUs is far too large. The developers should either list CPUs of comparable performance from both manufacturers or include only one brand.

I hope the requirements will be corrected to be more accurate, so that more new players can enjoy this game without confusion.

The game runs AWS (Amazon Web Services) and when that goes down, it takes all the servers with it like Roblox, Asphalt Unite, etc

not a steam bug specifically, but custom colors on no-dual-color cars like lamborghinis are still bugged. they're forced into dual-color mode with no way to turn it off (outside of possibly picking an official color that isn't dual-color, which i've never seen) and only being able to change color 1 (the fresnel color) with no way to change color 2 (the camera-facing one)

Assuming your laptop is above minimum specs and you can access the internet with other apps, then try this
Exit the game and go to windows 'settings', choice 'apps', find Asphalt 9 and select it, select 'advanced options', now first select 'repair' then select 'reset', this might fix the problem. Start the game and you might have to setup your preferred controls & display options

this happens both in races and outside of races
I've very thoroughly troubleshooted my own device to make sure it's not a driver issue or something like that
I have never had freezing like this until recently and I'm lucky if i can get through a single race without this happening

no spikes in resource usage on my PC, the game just freezes out of nowhere

apparently "minutes" is too generous

The fact that the poor connection message is showing up surprises me, maybe it's just because of the lag in the game
my connection is definitely not poor, I never have internet issues outside of this game, if that's even what's happening

depends on settings. on my 8 gig rx 570, my performance becomes much worse when i set dynamic reflection quality to the highest setting. i should measure vram usage too, but if it changes the resolution then it definitely increases
my point is, if your dynamic reflection quality is on high or even medium, turn it down. there's not much visible difference between low, medium and high. the only noticeable difference is between off and any other setting, since when it's off it uses pre-baked reflections that are distorted with box projection to simulate movement

in my case, vram use goes up from 1.4gb idle (i have some chromium-based apps open right now) to 2.3-2.4gb when opening asphalt and letting it idle. my settings are at 1080p max except for dynamic reflections quality, which is at low

a gigabyte in the menu at 1080p almost-high isn't that bad

and the devs didnt account for the overclocks to move after the season change

TLDR: There's no issue, I just need to confirm some things about the size of stored Vulkan shaders in disk (linux system).

I usualy play Asphalt in my linux system. Since last week I've noticed that game's Vulkan implementations are now better than ever. Lights and shadows are very much more stable. I obtained some VK logs... the rra → Radeon Raytracing Analyzer shows: BVH builds, BVH memory, Ray traversal, Ray queries, Hit/miss statistics. It's great! But I also got this amount of shaders (11GB). Is it ocurring in your systems? Do you set hader pre-cache is enabled? And what about background compilation of Vulkan shaders, is it enabled too?

I play both on my PC and on my phone and on both of them there is a hollow of the car in the back of the car (ghost like) it's not so visible but it's actually recognizable.

I have an issue to report
Whenever you switch tabs, like to another window, sometimes the cursor just disappears. It's still movable, I can see it highlighting the different element (sometimes) but the cursor just doesn't come up untill I quit and relaunch the game
Sometimes the UI elements dont highlight properly
And sometimes the game just straight up becomes unresponsive, but not crashing. The AUDIO plays, but none of the elements are clickable and nothing works.

you wont really get (official) help for linux cause this game runs through proton and not natively

although said experience comes mostly from the older ports like the witcher 2 and deus ex mankind divided, but the point is the same, they're not gonna maintain that very well. there's a reason why proton exists, and the early steam machines failed in large part because valve expected the developers to port games to linux, since they didn't invest into wine and developed proton yet

im on cachyos (arch linux), i play on steam using proton-cachyos slr, never had any issues

i could blame cinnamon for it. it uses x11 instead of wayland (wayland is display server protocol), wayland has more advanced stuff and is modern, perhaps try using a de like kde plasma :) you could try pikaos if you are debian oriented or cachyos if you are arch oriented, its your choice after all.
