When using a custom resolution, the game automatically selects the highest resolution, if you try to lower it then it lowers resolution scale instead of the actual resolution so visuals like UI and GUI elements are still at the set resolution

i dont know if thats a feature or not, but its there and i think a good fix is a adding a resolution scale option being separate, and the resolution option actually changes resolution for people who want that

at the time when I downloaded the steam version, few days later after its release, the windows version had the same issue with the animation and also this damn "input lag" issue and was almost unplayable for me. steam version has brought smoothness, better graphics, and no input lag at all. so it was like a "present" for me :). but now it's frustrating how it runs the animation.
maybe I should try to reinstall it? I mean the steam version...

Right, here's what you can do for this, but I'm afraid it requires another uninstall.
If you go to your library, right-click on said game title, then properties, then local files, then browse. That way, you can find the folder it installs the game files in.
Once you know that folder, just uninstall the game through your Steam interface, as you would normally uninstall a game (also by right-clicking, then manage, then uninstall), and then delete any files left in that folder, afterwards.

I understand the second message but what suppose to mean the first one? And also here, could it be related to the difference in the emails in the profile being transfered and my steam account?

Steam doesnt have a ad hosting platform so it can't host ads... for the moment, anyway

... which come to think of it, might have been a contributing factor to the MP Pass, with it's 25% reduction in refuelling times, but a better alternative would be to offer that benefit to all players on Steam instead of offering it as a benefit like Switch did

Ok so the main issue I have noticed playing the steam version is that my controls change back and fourth when I normally keep it on touchdrive when I'm doing events. This has happened to me with the last 3 races I've done. I put my controls to touchdrive before I hit the play button to go race and when I get on the track, I'm put back on controller manual.

im bumping this as its very problematic during gameplay when i fatfinger f9 (my replay buffer save bind). when the game freezes up during multiplayer, it locks up my car and lags me out, potentially even making me lose

heres a very risky example

i pressed f10 near the finish line for a bit and then unfroze it by pressing f10 again

note the "you have a poor connection" indicator as the game tries to resync itself

the game only lets you choose the max resolution that your display supports when in windowed mode (in this case, my monitor is 1920 x 1080, letting me only go to 1920 x 1080), but once you go into fullscreen, it unlocks 2 even higher resolutions, inaccessible in windowed mode.

i managed to bypass this by setting the resolution to 2560 x 1440 (way too big of a resolution for my 1920 x 1080 monitor) while in fullscreen, then restarting the game and pressing alt + enter to make the game go into windowed mode, keeping the seeming 150% resolution scale achieved.

When I try to log in to play on my PC again it shows the initial loading screen then just crashes with no error message. turned on freesync on my freesync-capable monitor yesterday cause i didnt realize that was possible

what that did was basically somehow "disconnect" the monitor and assign it a different id or something

issue is, the game then opens on the 2nd monitor

which i dont want to happen and cant fix, even after reinstalling the game, wiping game data or unplugging the monitor

i had to disable freesync to swap the monitor id back or whatever and it works properly now

so, what i want is for the steam version to remember the window position already

its so annoying and has been a present annoyance since release

why does the ms store version remember but not the steam version

or at least a switch to select the monitor you wanna use

general game fix regarding the sc18 and valhalla - their broken engine rpm pitches. this has been an annoyance since both cars have been released, i rely on the engine sound to know if im going at max speed or if im losing speed so i dont have to constantly look at my speedometer. both of these cars only start lowering their pitch at like <200km and when accelerating, they sound like theyre dying

@sudden ermine interesting observation: I haven't changed my game language and region from default (en-us) to my region as yet... While the Linux version of Steam shows en-us (therefore has store items priced in USD), the Windows version detects my region and displays prices in my currency 🤔

After copy paste into chat team in chat in game, the game broke the windows 10 system-wide copy paste function

new update broke the resolution system further as the game now forgets what resolution i set it to

set the game to 2560x1440 and after restarting, the window opened in 1366x768 and even in maximized it doesnt let me go past that

this, in result causes an awful resolution scale

when i said fix the resolution system, i didnt mean break it EVEN MORE

the only way i can fix this is by:

1. going into fullscreen with either the switch or alt+enter
2. closing the game
3. reopening it
4. changing the resolution
5. closing the game AGAIN
6. reopening it and getting out of fullscreen

I don't have a Steam Player ID, as the game is stuck on the loading screen and has never got past it to display it, like it does on the Windows store version. I have today just left it running for over an hour and it was still showing the loading screen and the little red dot running laps around the diamond. I have stopped the game in the Steam library, but that is also saying "stopping" and not not actually coming to a stop, with nothing further happening. EDIT: It finally stopped after 15 minutes.

1366x768 is somehow the maximum resolution for windowed game; the higher resolutions work only in full-screen 🤔

I didn't try to play with windowed mode, can be that it is locked to 1366x768 for some reason, full screen works for me exept the Vsync function, I had to disable it and lock my fps to 165 in Nvidia panel bc the vsync was locked to half of my refresh rate

extremely irritating to play with what seems to be 90% resolution scale

just discovered how to easily trigger the bug, even when youre in fullscreen

switching out of fullscreen with alt + enter throws me back to 1366x768

and even after switching back to fullscreen the same way and restarting the game without changing any settings afterwards, it lowers the resolution
