@fair gate how do cast builds actually work? like you have 1 charge which returns every 3s, what are you doing in the meantime? especially early on

They're a bit easier to get going with infernal soul (3 non regenerating casts); if you put them all in one enemy and their damage is pumped enough the enemy will probably die and you can wash rinse repeat. Certain duo boons can dramatically increase a cast's dps.

I was using stygian soul here (regenerating casts) because its better for trippy shot, and at that point you're getting as many chaos gates as you can (a good idea even with infernal soul) for extra casts, including forcing them by buying light of ixion at wells.

As you can see I actually ended up with 4 casts in the end, which is honestly quite lucky

With regenerating casts even 1 extra from chaos is usually enough tho

Big Boast: I FINALLY BEAT 32 HEAT!!!! After trying with Zeus, Beowulf, Hera, Rama, Eris, and Hestia several times and getting slapped each and every one of them, I decided to lay it of for a while. 6 low heat darkness/gem runs later I decide to YOLO it with Gilgamesh.

basically there are two approaches to heat:

2. people who find playing at higher heats more rewarding/fun in and of itself

You can counteract the HP penalty partially by getting Life Affirmation and Nourished Soul - also it's not as bad when you fully upgrade it but I don't have the titan blood for that yet
