That's just really what it comes down to.
There's nothing wrong with going for high rolls. When everything comes together, things will be easier that way.
But you'll also have a lot of runs that are just worse because you don't get what you need.
I will say that I think that going for consistency will give you better practice in the long term.

Actually, I was trying it with Crush shot since I dash in a lot. The classic rotation feels way better with charged skewer anyway. I'm also trying to attack more, with the dash cancel thingy that makes the third hit faster. It seems good but I need to practice way more. My problem is that I'm so used to special double dash strike that doing something else requires a system update basically.
Crush shot is an amazing output of damage
But anyway I'm trying things that would not be viable with less choices. I don't really know what I'm doing
I'm still hesitating between infernal and stygian too. DC2 makes a big difference

You can press Special + Reload or Cast + Reload at the same time.

Optimal DPS would be something like:

With High Confidence, Hestia kills Skelly in 5 Attacks. If you do Attack > Special > Cast > Attack > Cast x2 > Attack, he dies from the third Attack (you don't even need the thirst cast, but you have time to do it before your Attack is off CD anyway).

I've been looking more into adding cast in DPS rotations. Flurry Cast would let you cast 2–3 times instead of once. That might be good. Haven't tried it yet.

Yup, just sword and spear. Got to Hades with a serrated point Hades spear build that really should have won, but I flubbed early and took too much damage from it being my first non EM4 run in a while haha
