Engulfing vortex can help pre hunting blades and unlocks the legendary boon, if you see flurry jab as a hammer option take it to have some nice dmg before hb, same for any damaging dash (preferably smth like tidal/divine which wont open extra duos)
Also mirror helps a lot
Deep pockets for early buying boons from gods you need, dark foresight to see more gold laurel rooms, fated persuasion to increase chances of right boons

I would usually choose between Doom or Lightning, Hangover isn't that good for it imo, Doom is a bit more self sufficient with poms, whereas Lightning would need you to get more Zeus boons like Static Discharge and Double Strike, it can do more than Doom with those tho

god keepsakes increase the rarity of a god's boons and force them to spawn at least once per biome. therefore, i recommend them for early game in tart and aspho.
cerberus gives you extra life total, which may be helpful, but there's a big-ass fountain in between biomes that should fill you up rather nicely.
if you're having trouble with the heroes ||and/or dad||, acorn from eurydice negates damage from the first 5 attacks during the boss fight of the region.
lucky tooth from skelly also gives you an extra DD so if you're running low, go on ahead

aphrodite is best there, your basic damage sequence is special -> dash strike -> dash strike especially without charged skewer
athena is great as a secondary god for divine dash and on the attack to provide safety against the health loss

What makes difficult is that you don't fight him often and his difficulty doesn't change between biomes. the earlier you fight him in the run the harder it's gonna be simply because your build isn't as developed

You should spoiler all of this in this channel, || to dodge it you just have to dash twice, no dash strikes because those strip your iframes, that’s it and for the second question the safest thing is to block with a shield or stand behind pillars, if you’re very close to him you can avoid the damage but it’s easy to get knocked back and start taking damage again from the lasers ||

It is alright if you’re running the Aspect of Chiron
Otherwise you shouldnt be using your Special at all, the attack is your focus and you rely on dash strikes strictly
On Hera it’s a bit different because your Cast will do much more than your attack but you should still be dash striking as much as you can and the Special never gets used

for the second phase, you just start running the first time he uses the call (that god attack)
afterwards, every call has a set pattern
if you can learn the patterns you can avoid them easily with just one dash
except for Dionysus where the pattern is random iirc
when he falls below 50% health he throws the spear faster
and you should make sure to take cover when he throws (or time your dash) because after he does the call his attacks get special properties
(depending on who he calls)
the worst one being Dionysus because it makes his attacks inflict hangover

ares, dionysus, or zeus on the special are all good options. you can spread doom around the room, stack 5 hangover onto a target if you point blank them, and when you get the jolted boon, you can spread jolted across the room
as someone here pointed out earlier, you cant point blank the zeus special because of internal cooldowns
