Well out of those two you definitely want Exploding Launcher first, but again, it depends on what other stuff you have, and if Flurry Jab is the third option you’re offered then that’s also a very strong hammer

That's a built in effect. It prevents you taking multiple hits simultaneous. It's primarily what makes Hell Mode hard, since it's disabled permanently.

boss drops are tracked individually for each weapon. you get them from beating each boss once with each weapon. after that you want to fully win a run

Both are good, ranged weapons + shields are safer than melee weapons as a general rule, but learning enemy move patterns and timing your empty dashes is much more important than your weapon choice at this point

So just go with whatever you enjoy playing

Elysium is definitely a common roadblock, you get past it with practice eventually but having good damage helps you kill stuff before it has a chance to kill you

Sometimes indirect stuff can help in Elysium a lot. Trippy Shot to keep groups of enemies stunned and buy you time, Flood Shot to push them away and buy space etc.

Heroes fight is all about learning their patterns. Just spend 2 minutes trying not to be hit at all. Don't worry about attacking, just taking few/no hits.

That crit really can do some chunks in terms of dps if you pair it with an Artemis attack

You have to look kind of closely at Theseus’ spin attack to dodge it

Asterius charges can actually be stopped if you just let him ram into wall, and it’s purely melee

My highest heat is on shield, because my Blitz Disc builds are just the safest to deal with them.

I just estimate the right distance, throw the disc so it's stops directly on Theseus while he's calling

Well, a chamber is... a chamber. The place where you fight enemies. Rank on the other hand means the level of the benefit from the mirror if you know what I mean. For example the first death defy gives you a charge for each upgrade you buy. 2 ranks (upgrades) = 2 death defies per escape attempt. The second ddeath defy gives you a defy in each chamber you enter. Not sure what it does when upgraded. Not the best at explaining. Hope you understand <3

well yeah, essentially. Each chamber has multiple encounters tho. Except for special chambers with like Charon shop

A chamber is a room. A room can be an encounter room or a story room or a shop etc.

Effects can last for a number of chambers, a number of encounters or a number of standard encounters (not including boss or mini boss encounters)

Things like "you face 30% more enemies" from chaos lasts for standard encounters because it makes no sense in shops or boss fights

hi there! new player here, i have had a few clears (4 now) but my best time is about 39 minutes. i've seen some youtube plays and also apparently ||even the first deadline condition in pact of punishment|| limits you below that, so i'm concerned that im playing very very slowly. i was wondering everybody's first clear times?

Your clear times will improve as you play more and get more experience, you wanna try to clear rooms efficiently and learn how builds and damage work so you become better at decision making, those all will factor in how much time it takes for you to clear

Yup, those can add up aswell as keepsakes, and maybe try to experiment with builds, Ares can be quite strong but tough to fit in on every weapon especially if you're starting with him

Deadly Strike + Heartbreak Flourish for Heart Rend, with usually Hunter Dash is the classic crit build for Nemesis. Merciful End with Curse of Agony + Divine Flourish + Divine Dash is the classic speedrun build (with potentially True Shot for Deadly Reversal). And the modern speedrun build is Tidal Dash start into any good Attack boon and just playing it out.

Divine Strike + Divine Dash and just throwing more Deflect into other slots is an old school build that's still very safe but will lack the DPS from other builds.

Drunken Strike + poms on it is a very simple build that's very effective.

Drunken Strike start is very resilient because you can make it stronger with just excellent Attack pom scaling but also have potential for Tidal Dash, Low Tolerance, Curse of Nausea, Bad Influence, etc. to potentially help with DPS. And since you already have Lord Dionysus in your god pool by starting Drunken Strike, you can easily get Trippy Shot which is very powerful by itself with excellent pom scaling and powerful Duo Boons + it unlocks his legendary... But even if you get nothing of that, just getting poms on your Attack will go a long way. But it doesn't have the same top end as some other builds.

Heartbreak Strike is very strong and also gives you Weak right from the start, easy access to Life Affirmation and more damage reduction, decent pom scaling at least up to like Lv.4, access to very powerful Duo Boons like Smoldering Air...

Ehhhhh, the Myrmidon Bracer only really has good eHP value when you already have very high damage reduction and dodge chance.

So it's very situational.

Since the Lucky Tooth is used after your other DDs, you'd only really need it somewhere mid-run when you lost all your DDs and are just hoping to make it to Patroclus to get your DDs back or maybe to a Well where you can buy DDs.

It's nice for that.

The Spiked Collar has some nice value early on when your max HP at the start of a run is still at 50 because you haven't upgraded your mirror that far yet. So I guess you could start with that in Tartarus. But starting with the on most weapons will guarantee you get high damage and Weak. And Weak on its own already offers a lot of eHP and easily beats out the Spiked Collar in terms of how much eHP you get after you pick up just like 3 Centaur Hearts. So there's just much better longterm value for your run.

Except for a few weapon aspects that benefit more from starting Lightning Strike, namely Malphon and most rail aspects... the most failsafe strategy to get your first few wins is to just start to get her Attack, then swap to the Owl Pendant in Asphodel to get Divine Dash (make sure you don't pick up any other Dash boon before then), and then for the rest of the run just take the Acorn.

And just pick up a ton of Centaur Hearts.

And also stuff like Life Affirmation and Broken Resolve from Lady Aphrodite, which just gives you even more damage reduction.

Yeah. So as a rule of thumb for those... you pretty much want to prioritize those in that order: Rare+ Greatest Reflex > Hyper Sprint > common Greatest Reflex > any of the others.

I've literally had a run where Tidal Dash was my main form of DPS and got TD to level 19, but I'm pretty sure you can go much higher if you get luckier with ||Duos|| and Poms.

I was gonna say you should invest in Chiron bow due to me having a personal bias for it as I cleared ||32 heat|| for the first time with it it objectively obviously being the best bow to ever bow bow and no one can prove me wrong j/, but iirc I actually got my first win with either Chaos or Zeus Shield. I think I played safe during <REDACTED>'s fight and charged bull rush to block a lot or something

Aaanyway, I got sidetracked. If you want to play with Crush Shot... then start with that boon and just look for a bunch of poms for it, and also look for Blown Kiss from her. And then other things you look for mainly are the Shot and Grasp boons from Master Chaos, which give you more Cast damage and more Cast ammo respectively. And you also want to check every Well of Charon for the two items that have the same effect.

Deadly Strike and Deadly Flourish are good pick-ups especially if you get Hunter's Mark from her and their Duo Boon, Heart Rend. Tidal Dash is great and will unlock Sweet Nectar, you'd also want to pom Tidal Dash a bit. Zeus' Aid is amazing to pick up and will unlock Smoldering Air, which imo is the most broken Duo Boon in the game for how strong it is in literally any build. And any core boons from Lady Athena will unlock Parting Shot, their Duo Boon, which allows your Cast to backstab and get any backstab bonus damage. So if you have Shadow Presence from the mirror and backstab with your Crush Shot, you'd do a lot more damage.

And the goal with your build is pretty much to get so much Cast damage that anything will just die from 1-3 Crush Shots and then your bloodstones will drop out immediately because things are dead and you can just keep using your Casts.

There's a mirror talent that gives you "+20% gold laurel rewards" at max rank... which actually changes the odds for gold vs blue laurel rewards from 50/50 to 70/30.

So it says +20% but it really means you get 40% more boons, poms, etc.
