At the beginning, for you, it’s going to be a tough call

Rooms are fundamentally divided into two separate tracks, items that you keep with you after death like darkness gems keys etc, and items that you do not like boons hammers health etc

It’s random-ish which one will spawn at a given time, but all room rewards are fundamentally grouped into those two categories. Once that is decided the game chooses which exact type of room it will be. Darkness or keys, boons or cash etc

you want to clear the game, but especially at the beginning you want to Hoover up all the resources you can as fast as you can, so you can afford things to help you make more of that static “money” faster as you keep playing

For things like unlocking weapons and the mirror which are v. Important

Darkness track rooms will make you stronger on the long run by unlocking things like that. Boon track rooms will make you stronger here and now in this run, by giving you health or cash or boons or hammers

I think you can just pick randomly until you learn what the symbols are.
A very rough idea is to prioritize free rooms > hearts > hammers > boons > gold.

I'm a bow main myself, literally haven't gotten a clear with any other weapon. A good bow build with tidal dash (and all the boons that enhance it like razor shoals), ||frost flourish|| (spoiler tagged just to be safe since it's not unlocked from the start) a decent cast and Artemis' Aid is just.. chef's kiss.

That was the build I had for my first 16-minute clear, I was clearing some chambers in a second or less it was that good.

so i just unlocked "weapon aspects" and was wondering what weapon aspect i should try out for each weapon

the shield, the spear and the twin fists are currently my favs

ahh ok so when it comes to your first aspects its always good to experiment

however some aspects take more dedication(blood) to really get going

and tbh spear/shield/fists all take a bit more blood to get good :/

but

i def recommend achilles spear(shmoves and can be built around casts), zeus shield(just fun imo), and dem fist(my personal fist fav)

get it to around 75%-100%

then, try out zeus shield (its a completely different way of playing shield, you may like or hate it completely)

I come from a racing background and hidden spear reminds me of a particular variety of car that are extremely difficult and unforgiving to drive, but some of the fastest around in their world

hey there! I am currently trying to get all of the side quests wrapped up and had some questions. Spoiler tags on just in case! I've maxed out nectar on Nyx, Sisyphus, Achilles, Patroclus, Eurydice, Orpheus, and Chaos. Nyx hasn't talked about anything in the Administrative Chamber yet. Is there something I'm missing or some way to trigger this dialogue? ||I am playing on God Mode and have had several runs where I've beaten Hades, so maybe the game is prioritizing main story dialogue with Nyx first?||

@clever crown I play keyboard and mouse with default key bindings and I like it fine, although I think controller is the more popular option here.

Also this is a really long game with an extremely diverse range of strategies so I think everyone experiments with rebindings when they get to the harder stuff. For M&K you might want to consider mapping special attack (Q key by default) to middle mouse button.

focus asterius first, he'll be on your ass all the time so you need to kill him first

make sure you know where theseus is or at least a general location at all times so when you see the reticle of the spear about to be thrown you can get behind a pillar and or dash in a safe direction

also try to separate them, if asterius gets to close to theseus they try to do their "bullhorn" thing and its kinda annoying

also when you are down to just theseus take your time

he leaves a lot of openings and is super easy to deal with on his own

oh and since theseus has a spin move, to dodge that just dash to the side and or through him

Don't just spam attacks, get a few attacks in, and dodge

Make yourself practice a little. Bow is the hardest weapon to pick up for new players because it has some techskill to make it function well at all, but once you pick up on how to play with it bow is tied with gun for strongest overall class in the game, with the advantage to bow imo

Bow aspects are a murderers row. 4 stone cold killers, not a slouch among them

the first is always dash attacking. an easy crutch for this is to input your dash and attack buttons together. While this theoretically makes you a little more vulnerable, it’s well worth it to be able to consistently dash attack while you’re still learning the timing

The second technique is powershotting itself. Consistently hitting bow powershots (esp with 1st and 4th aspects) is a huge difference maker in how much DPS you’re actually outputting.
