If you mean the actual act of fishing, look for a white spot of light in liquid areas. There will be a ding sound when combat ends if one is present, and Zag will often comment on fishing spots if you walk by one. To catch fish, you have to press RB (sorry, don't know keyboard equivalent) when there is a white flash and the bobber goes under. There's a sound cue as well

All is good, but I am assuming that you have limited Blood and looking for something that is good and cheap, I would suggest Zag Fist. Both Talos and Demeter are solid but both needs a decent amount of blood.
Zag Fist isn't as flashy but can hold its own regardless of how much blood you put into it.

You'd want to target asterius first as the fight gets easier after you kill him
Also keep watch for theseus' spin attack and dash away whenever you see it
You'll also want to use your greater call when theseus is at halp hp as he stands still and is alot easier to hit

you can get asterius (the minautor) in a corner behind a pillar and have a 1v1 without theseus
once you learn theseus pattern you can go all out in there and beat him first
I found that easier personally
it's really up to you
the fun part about doing this is that Theseus and Asterius usually die together
so it's just 1 fight instead of 2

For damage, zeus and dionysus all do well with fast attacks. Aphro and Artemis are best with slow, hard hitting attacks. Posiden and Athena provide utility with decent all around damage. It all depends what you're using.

honestly my build felt super cheese too lol, I had divine dash, charged shot as mentioned, the hammer upgrade that makes your attack do more damage after you special, and I had Poseidon on my attack and Zeus on my special
also movement speed, Zeus call, etc
having charged shot and a good attack made me focus more on using my attack instead of my special, which meant I was able to block things and have a good ranged ability without yeeting my shield all over the place
