later when he starts shooting lasers in every direction you have an opportunity to get really close to him, just enough to actually not take any damage and you can just deal easy damage during that duration though it's super risky, like if you do it wrong you'll take heavy damage

God mode is never cheating. I use it because I love story, I play a game for the story. What I've found works is finding a fighting preference that you like. I am garbage at most games, so i literally have god mode maxed out. But I've also used god mode to teach me how to be better at the game without having the "hair pull" moments.
