i mean that if you got your main boon places full and exhausted some of his tier 2 boons you will usually get the boon by middle elysium even if you got the call at the start of elysium
you dont need to just get poseidon boons
but if you are trying for specific boons for one god try not to force any more gods for your boon/god pool

Equip his keepsake early so you start off with posseidon if you have unlocked the last talent of your mirror take the one that switches rooms boon rooms, hammers, hearts and money are all in the same pool so try changing the rooms and get as many Posseidons as you can

poseidon has 17 boons, 5 of which are main attack boons, 2 are legendary, 5 are tier 2 and 1 can come multiple times
all 5 tier 2 boons require poseidon's call so getting unlucky with the tier 2 rng is pretty common

Yes, every non legendary, duo and chaos boon should have a heroic rarity of it, which you'll very rarely see because heroic boons are quite rare (in that they'll only ever be offered as core boon exchanges, get upgraded by a certain npc (it's random) or a specific ||demeter|| boon)

i've never felt like one of my runs was ruined due to bad luck, personally--it seems to be set up so that you always get stuff that's at least functional, it's not like in binding of isaac where you might end up with a build where you're just firing explosive shots directly at your own face. and even in a worst case scenario where you don't get offered any of the boons you were hoping for and all the ones you get are common, you can still carry with skill once you learn the enemy patterns and get comfortable with the controls, tracking the visuals, etc
you could probably get yourself in a bad position by deliberately picking stuff that goes badly with your other stuff though

My first clear was with shield. I hated how it played from the first room. But boon by boon it got better. Dash-attack/deflect/knockback all over the room, nothing could get me.
I have also found that you should never, under any circumstances, ever abandon a run just because you think it started too badly. Sometimes all it takes is the right boon at the very end and you've got yourself a clear.

But I happened to find ||Patroclus and got full reload of DD|| and that got me through ||Styx||. But in one of the ||Satyr rooms in Styx|| I was able to purchase ONE more DD from shop and had accumulated enough money to buy the ||Zeus/Artemis Duo Boon: Lightning rod|| , which I only got because I hadn't seen it before, so I needed the unlock. And that was a very long, but successful ||Shooting my spells at nobody just so the bloodstones would drop and kiting Hades all around them|| clear

technically you can unlock and level an aspect in the courtyard, go on a run and guve up
thatll reset to your last save before the run
as long as you dont leave to your room after spending titan blood it wont be permanent if you give up mid run
so you can technically try out stuff that way

A question for my sister, who is playing Hades on Switch. The fishing rod is not showing up in the House Contractor's goods. She has:
- made it to Theseus and Asterius, but has not slain them
- has purchased a good many things from the contractor, such as the Fated List of Minor Prophecies, the Deluxe Desk, and several other upgrades to the Underworld
- has over 40 escape attempts with over 3,300 Darkness spent
- has all but 3 keepsakes (not counting the bottom row of golden lockboxes)
Any reason why she can't get the fishing rod?
