Pos isn’t normally a great cast for cast builds

It’s definitely usable but beo is the only one that really uses it

Hunting blades (artemis + ares cast) or lightning phalanx (zeus + athena’s cast) are pretty normal builds, since artemis and zeus play really nicely on spear strike and the casts really benefit from achilles massive damage bonus

artemis gains a bunch of value from the achilles additive tbh like crits on a massive damage multi make it so much better

Just isn’t as strong as other options, especially when achilles doesn’t really have a good way to extract casts from bosses

The aoe is really solid and with achilles additive you should be clearing regular rooms just fine, you’ll just need to fall back on the strike pretty often, where artemis would be adding the same value it adds to hunting blades for achilles so

Gilgamesh usually takes the longest due to who you actually have to talk to 1:1

since you have to essentially 50:50 into it with your elysium miniboss rooms before you can even get the chance for the dialogue

your dash should be your primary answer to attacks, you dont have to hack away at the boss asap if you havent learned the fight, slow down and look at the attacks

for example when she flies up a little and pauses she is about to do an aoe around her, when she crouches she is about to dash toward you etc, for meg you can mostly just recognise the attack and dash away from where the attack will hit, for future fights you should keep inmind that your dash igves you i frames so once you learn attack timings you are able to dash the moment an attack hits and avoid it

Dashing gives you invincibility frames. watch the boss, get a feal for their timing, and dash the moment right before they attack.
Also the more times you fight a boss the easier their guna get. I will promise you on that one.

Usually I go with Ares doom boons and focus on Theseus more than the Bull of Minos. After Theseus calls out the gods use your God Aid (better if it’s a high damage one like Ares, Demeter or Aphrodite imo) and beat him first, then you can move to the Minotaur, make sure to hit when he’s stunned/has hit himself while running after you and avoid his attacks + strike from the back

like all the heats get acronymed

a few boons get abbreviated to like smair instead of writing smouldering air

Your “godpool” is however many regular olympians you’ve taken boons from (aka not Hermes or Chaos), since the game stops showing you new gods acter you hit 4 gods in your god pool

i was the same when i started as well, but im buying much more often now. his keepsake can increase by up to 8 encounters, which is a long time and can cause them to stack. there are also weapons where casts are extremely good, and the wells help for thast a lot

You need the other 4 weapons first (they won’t show up until you have unlocked all 4 of the first weapons(with keys), then die in a run to update the house of Hades)

Also remember that tierlists and whatnot are subjective; maybe you're an absolute god on bow, and if you are, use that by all means

the bone hydra can have multiple modes that have different tactics, but the most basic tips is that if you have a ranged weapon, take advantage of it to take as little damage as possible, and that during the third phase, try and kill one side as fast as possible so you have a safe-ish zone.

Hi, I got Hades for Christmas and started playing right on the new year

My naive impression would be that this is an easier roguelike but I know about ||heat|| I'm so ready

A thing that for me sets this apart from other roguelikes is that it felt like I achieved something on every single run so far

Hi I’ve finally gotten a decent bit into this game and I’m not sure what to spend my Titan blood on it seems really rare and I don’t want to waste it

Here’s what I usually recommend for each weapon if you want to get the most value for your titans blood early

Sword: nemesis (main functionality is gained at level 1, subsequents improve it)
Spear: achilles (solid at level 1, but vastly improves with more more levels)
Shield: zeus (main functionality at level 1)
Bow: hera (lvl 1 functionality) zag (needs more levels, also isn’t as crazy absurd but is less input heavy)
Fists: demeter (needs more levels)
Rail: eris (always good) or hestia (hestia needs lots of levels)

Idk man as someone with around 10 40 Heat runs under my belt I will literally always take Divine Dash over pretty much everything. Unless the build really requires a specific dash to create a broken interaction, Divine Dash is good with every build, every weapon, and is simply incredible. I agree with the top post of this comment chain that 8.5 is a little weird for easily the best Dash in the game.

You need to read his moves to get a lot of hits in, and even then, there will still be a fair bit of recalling needed. Consider these things:

1. The disk will do damage while being recalled. You can line this up with Dad's movement.
2. Take note of starting and ending lag on Dad's attacks. Read them and learn when you can punish that. For example, when the spin attack is charging, that's a good time to special, block the spin, and then recall to his new position. When he "Darkness." teleports, throw the special where the crack in the ground appears.
3. If you have charm abilities from aphro, he'll meander in the same general area for a bit. Great special opportunity. Same goes for deth lazers

Keep in mind that the shield only covers the front half of him, so you can attack sorta from the side and still hit
A lot of Artemis boons that make arrows, like support fire, will bypass shields, so try picking up some of those

Play tighter against Theseus tbh

like rail has a bunch of range but against shields it’s far easier to get to the other side of him if you’re already in melee range

and that lets you abuse damaging dashes like tidal dash for more dps

Soo guys I recently started Hades 1 and its been like 4 days and I reached hades in my last run and then he cooked me and destroyed me with BOTH my death defiances and I couldnt even crack his 1st phase

I am on laptop keyboard no mouse no controller am pretty proficient with gilgamesh but usually use stygian blade for its aoe (special)

Gift a nectar to Hermes to unlock the lambent plume for dodge chance In your runs and try to get boons from Athena for deflect abilities, ares, Demeter, and Dionysus all have Good AOE effects you can use to your advantage, for me personally the range and attack speed of the spear helped a lot with my first wins

Anything that makes you have to do less to hit more is good

If you can unlock the rail gun it's special might be good in your case since you can just fire it in one place and it has a big aoe

And they already have the rail given they have gilgamesh since you flatout don’t get aspects until you have all the weapons

additional levels help but you have the basic functionality

i have disabled cursor aiming and it aims in which direction i am standing

You need to spam dash strike on that. Hold dash and attack for 3 consecutive dash strikes and be prepared to do some fast movement/aiming to get all 3 to hit a stationary target while dashing. Pair it with Artemis boons and you do some pretty stupid damage.
