Dark regen gives you hp when you need it the least, cuz there’s always a fountain immediately following boss fights, and the consistency of cthonic regen (especially in the styx tunnels) is just way better
and obols now is much better than obols later

The real use case for golden touch is if you’re shooting for the styx titan blood/diamond
You also need an insane amount of obols stored up for golden touch to add up higher than deep pockets in the first place I believe

While this is encouraged, it's worth noting that some of the Zagreus aspects (which are cheapest to max) are better than others and worth investing in early. Shield and Bow come to mind, as well as Fists somewhat. Some other aspects (guan yu, chaos, chiron, demeter) can be just ok to outright stinky in their early forms, try not to form a judgement on them until you can more fully afford their upgrades where they go from ugly ducklings to swans

Bow and Rail >>> Fists and Shield >>> Spear and Sword
in terms of which you want to level
If you want a mini-guide on blood spending:
If you haven’t got nemesis zeus or hera yet, they’re all really effective with low amounts of titan blood put into them. (Nab them at level 1, you can level em up later)
and then you can use the rest on other aspects that need the levels a bit more (for their effects to really get crazy)
These aspects are achilles, eris, hestia, demeter.
By that point (or earlier) you should be able so start getting the hidden aspects, in which case ||guan-yu, rama and lucifer really want titans blood, while beowulf is stellar at level 1||
and then zag bow, zag rail, and zag fist are all solid options for your titans blood.
(Maxing nem, zeus, and hera can happen really whenever in this grand scheme)
And then any aspects I haven’t mentioned

From my subjective experience, Hades goes from Impossibly difficult (nobody is beating it in their first few runs in the game, which is the same thing in most roguelikes)
To surprisingly not that difficult after you unlock mirror upgrades, aspects, and greater knowledge of how the game works fairly quickly.
After beating the final boss I've basically never lost a run afterwards (though, I haven't tried high heat yet)
And I don't have very many runs either

2, while making the hydra fight more dangerous, does make it slightly easier
because all the spawned hydra heads are closer together, you can easily kill multiple at the same time
