If you aim for that and even just get the flourish and Jolted, and keep your shield up a lot, you will have a much easier time.
Weak from Aphro will also lower their damage a bit

If you want variety early, sure you can just unlock all of those at Lv.1. You can also spend all your Titan Blood on a single aspect if you want to just do a lot of runs with that one.

I find that ||Skelly|| is good for ||Theseus's second phase because he just absorbs all that damage||. Likewise he can also help with ||Hades when he summons enemies I guess?||.
But yeah, for versatility definitely go with @final dune 's advice and go with ||Meg||.

i see some people sort of just focusing on dodging after phasing theseus when he's doing the god call
that's a mistake because you have a lot of free damage there
not taking that free damage can make the fight unnecessarily harder and prolong your needing to deal with that rodent's shield

Oh just saw this, as a fellow new player I have a lot more success doing these few things:
Focus on killing Asterius first

Try to position around these pillars
Making sure you're always breaking line of sight from the spear throw
And then it really helps to learn the bulls attack patterns
When he is chasing you, just dash through the centre of the pillar and he'll smash into it
And what I find works for me is just dashing behind the bull as he swings/leaps for me
Once he is dead, the 1v1 fight is pretty easy if you just take it slowly
After he throws the spear, he is guaranteed to turn away from you and walk away, so its a nice window for free damage
@dark notch hope this helps, took me like 5-6 times (on hell mode) getting rekt before I could consistently beat them
so just practise makes perfect

They were stomping me too til i started seeking out the bull as a miniboss. Way easier to learn him 1v1 without worrying about theseus' spear all the time. Bull has the same attack patterns so go a few more rounds with him 1v1 then you'll be much more relaxed when you get the 2 of them

There's a diminishing return on boon levels. If you already have a few levels on boons you want, upgrade rarity. If you have good rarity of boons you want but still lvl 1-2, upgrade level. If you're missing boons you want, nectar

if you want to get all bounties, you don't actually need to || clear each heat 1 to 20. You can put it all the way to 20 and then just clear 20 times, if you overshoot heat you will get bounty as if you set it to the lowest but next time it will go up again by one, so completely up to you if you want to go one by one or if you want to do bigger jumps ||

Bow is a very good weapon with some good aspects for starting (you will see what an aspect is later), probably a considerable upgrade over sword and spear, but really just go with shield unless you want to practice bow a bit.

In essence, if you feel like you don't have enough damage, you just gotta learn how to survive long enough without dying or learning how to build better
