When you're starting out Sword is pretty solid compared to other weapons but when you start learning them and go back to sword it'll be pretty underwhelming because it's very unlikely that you're playing it optimally initially. It's a tough weapon to get the most out of.

Hestia probably better, but Eris requires little investment to do good work.

Standard Eris build is Lightning Strike > Static Discharge + Tidal Dash. Poms on Static Discharge and Tidal Dash. And get a decent % Special, ideally Heartbreak Flourish or Deadly Flourish.

Tidal Dash start and look for a high % Attack, ideally Heartbreak Strike, and any good % Special. Alternatively start Heartbreak Strike and then look for either Tidal Dash or Hunter Dash + a good % Special as usual.

And lots of Strike/Lunge from Master Chaos on Hestia.

Also if you're playing on a gamepad, you'll want to remap Reload to a shoulder button—most commonly L1/LB or L2/LT.

Heartbreak Strike start (+ Hunter Dash potentially) can be just as fast in Tartarus on Zag Bow and possibly Hestia but Tidal Dash start is less reliant on getting the right enemy spawns.

So Tidal Dash start ends up getting better runs faster because more runs end up being viable.

And you'll still need to find something to steamroll Styx whereas Tidal Dash start only needs Breaking Wave.

But in theory Flood Shot + Breaking Wave or Zeus' Aid + rare+ Proud Bearing can do the same thing.

If it's low level it'll only really shine with a Hangover build. Start with Dio's keepsake to get Drunken Flourish and pom that as much as possible as you progress. The two other main gods that you're looking for are Ares and Aphrodite, Ares can give you Curse of Vengeance or Curse of Agony which both unlock Curse of Nausea, and Aphro can give you Heartbreak strike (best option) or something like Passion Dash to continuously apply Weak so you can unlock Low Tolerance and use it effectively. It's tough to get both of those Duos consistently, so usually Aphrodite is the one you force in Asphodel because Weak = Survivability and Low Tolerance is better damage overall compared to Curse of Nausea. That's the general idea of the build, obviously you have to work with whatever gods the game gives you, almost everyone has something you can benefit from. Calls are great on this build because Chiron + Hangover charges the call meter very fast, Athena is a very strong option, Zeus is pretty good for dps.

The whole gimmick with rogue likes is that you learn by dying. With enough attempts and deaths, you'll figure out how to handle each boss pretty easily

Poseidon Cast on ||Beowulf|| is different than other weapons because it's a flare, it barely does any knockback. The Festive Fog build is solid but it's very needy and inconsistent because you'll still want Mirage Shot (which is 2 gods that you dont start with) and you run it with Stygian which means you'll also want extra stones because 1 isn't really enough.

Athena cast is also easy to do on Achilles. It's slow but it hits very hard and is convenient. Get Zeus attack next. Their duo will make your cast act like Zeus's cast, but with the dmg and effect of Athena's.

Is there a way to get legendary fishes more often? Or fishing spots in general?
I have a hard time catching them: got my 1st one in my 60th run
I know it's about timing but the window feels really short. Is there a better method between looking at the indicator, using sound or waiting for the controller vibration?

Also do you get more fishing spots in the very last region at some point later in the game? Since ||Persephone's return|| there's only 1 room and in my last 10-15 runs I've had a fishing spot there only once or twice.

There is a Poseidon boon you can get (legendary, requires the resource boons he gives) and there are Skeletal Lures from Wells of Chiron, which guarantee a fish in the next room.

Definitely check the guide for full details

For ||Greece|| and Void fish, you just need to get perfect timing down. That increases the quality of fish you get.

If you struggle with the last Void fish, that is very normal.
