Idk never used codex mod. When I want to test something, I just do it in a run.

It's probably better to do it in a run, the build is progressive and it'll give you a better of idea of how it feels early on without hammer, and with low poms, and how it scales at the end of the run and instaphases bosses. Codex mod is also jank with Flood Flare specifically

In this case it's not beneficial because your Bullrush/Charged Shot is what's doing the damage, since you're dash striking to start it your Brage would be wasted on the dash-strike, which usually hits nothing.

Situationally procs when your dash strike kills something, likely a small enemy then you bullrush/cshot on a big enemy and have the boost but it's a rare occurance

I'd take Urge to Kill from or Blood Frenzy from Ares over Battle Rage

Just keep practicing and pay attention to enemy patterns, maybe look into builds because those help a lot. Remember that dashing gives you full iframes but when you dash strike you lose those iframes so empty dash when you want to dodge attacks. Aside from that it's expected that you die a lot as you learn the game, how many attempts do you have and did you finish a run yet?

How does SD last longer? It’s a smaller hp pool meaning you’ll last way less in bossfights, and bossfights are tricky unlike rooms. Sure SD refills every chamber but the majority of chambers you wont use it if you play reasonably well. Getting better at bosses takes a lot more time and practice than rooms. With SD you’ll have much smaller wiggle room in bosses and will get punished and lose more often. You can play however you like, but at the end of the day some options are better than others, and the mirror is no different, I might have seen one or two players get their first win with Stubborn Defiance in my 2 years on this server.

I play SD, but more importantly it depends on how you play. I’ve died more on rooms than bosses and I’ve gone up to 32 heat.

Chiron is very easy to play, just requires some levels to do decent damage.
