I've gotten Meg and Achilles to the point where they are at the locked heart, how do I keep going to get the Companion
For Meg I think it's just doing enough conversations, but for Achilles I think you have to finish the whole Patroclus thing
Yeah just keep talking to both
Man, Theseus is a bull-headed self-bloating bafoon but i did felt bad when he offered his autograph and Zagreus just straight up rejected it XD
Just keep talking with both and you'll eventually unlock a dialogue with Nyx to progress
Nah you dont offer autographs
True but he was happy offering it
I FINISHED YESTERDAY!! (with the main story at least <3)||
Now - doing all the tasks and bonds that still remain ❤️ I love that you get to / have to go on after the "Main Task" is done 😉
(AND I AM STILL MISSING THE BOND WITH APHRODITE! SHE'S THE ONLY ONE !!! GAAAH!) ||
I love how every single one of them - the gods - are so arrogant. Even artemis. It's always me me me me me haha. It's great and fits the theme so well. Of course, special mention for aphrodite. She's so self centered. Great writing 😄
Also, Dusa is so cute
And the ending quote after beating Hades becoming more and more pathetic ahahaha.... this is amazing
I didn't think I needed ||Persephone|| to be an ally till I heard it. Also their interactions with her around the house is always wholesome and funny. Especially Hades. Just the "You did good ma boi. So has your daddy." Hades: grunts
Also Achilles is the best motivator, gives me captain america vibes whenever he talks.
Homer running out of ideas
My fav post credit death
we can talk spoilers here right? I want to ask something that's not clear to me.
Channel description says all spoilers welcome
oh right. sorry.
so I just unlocked the reunion and it's not clear to me the explanation of Persephone and Hades to the olympians why she is in the underworld
and why did the olympians accepted it
i dont remember the reason but basically
no one (mainly zeus) wanted to deal with the actual reason on how she got there
nobody wants a war between them
so Persophone just went with the "eat fruit of the underworld = "locked" in there" and gods were like aight good enough
Not much one for professing my undying love for things openly, but Zagreus' character and his interactions with others feels as though it's actively made me a better person. If nothing else, it's taught me how to give people gifts less awkwardly!
I imagine a bad end where Dionysos totally drunk eat a fruit and remember it on the Olympus and be like "Mhh, should I tell the others?"
also Persephone is a demigoddess in the game, so the fruit probably affects her differently than a pure Olympian
How do you have 5 rerolls
I believe from one of the upgraded base items, the key? I can't remember exactly, but it's something you are eventually able to buy from the Contractor
Someone may be able to explain it better
Yep, you can get an upgrade that everytime you get a key during a run you also get a bonus reroll
altough the screenshot is outside of a run
so I think it just might be the other roll
cause there are two rolls depending on which mirror upgrade you take and one has max 4 and one has 8 I think
oooo ok ok, I haven't looked in that save yet to see what I have
||What the actual heck... Dusa just said goodbye for her last day!!!!! Right after I reunited Nyx and Chaos too. Why would Nyx do that??? This is really upsetting||
She herself said the fruit story was nonsense though
Ah yes, we love rng
Just got the "One for the Ages" achievement on Steam. Is there anything more to work towards, story-wise, or am I pretty much done with that part of the game?
there is no escape mistake
https://imgur.com/a/uSXJivR
she will come back dont worry
"Youe grandparents, the titans"
Demeter is one of my grandparents tho
Demeter is a Titan??
But Hades is a son of Chronos (Cronos? Kronos? Brain forgot the spelling)
Who is a Titan
And since Greek mythology is less of a tree and more of a family pack of ramen noodles
The Titans are both your grandparents (Dad's side) and great grandparents (Mom's side)
As far as I know in the Supergiant timeline, Demeter does actually refer to herself as a "Foster sibling" to uncle zeus and the rest, so I believe its more of like a first or second cousins type of thing rather than Hades being Persophone's brother
I'm treading as lightly as I can, I hope I'm doing alright
Ye, pretty good.
Greek mythology family trees hurt my head
yeah in Hades Hades and Demeter would technically still be cousins, same for Zeus and Hera
so still bit of incest
Immoral but legal in a lot of states
I wonder if since we're getting the Titans if they'll explore the family tree further up cause there is unavoidable incest there too
or if they'll kinda ignore/not mention it
They prob wouldnt mention it
I mean they never mentioned how persephone is basically zags cousin-mom lol
I mean mb we could
You never know
Incest in greek mythology isnt rlly that big a deal
I mean I wouldn't mind it but it seems SGG really wants to avoid it as much as possible
They wouldnt mention it but i dont think thatd stop them from putting in important figures like gaia
If zag really was nyxs sons after all hed basically be dating his own brother and/or step sister
Meg isn't related to Nyx I thought
She raised her i believe so basically like an adopted daughter
Got the word wrong lol
Bound to happen when the entire population is less than 30 lol
Yeah everyone can be considered a relation until the children of the gods lmao
Because it was primordial chaos
Then the titans
Then the gods
Then the minor gods and other creatures
Then demigods
Then semi-demi gods
Then semi-demi-wemi gods
And so on

wait so an american accent in the game in considered an underworld accent?? bc dusa said that zag has a "surface accent"
Yep.
i believe all of the chthonic gods (excluding hades and zagreus) and a few other underworld characters like skelly and dusa do??? im not sure either though, i never processed the fact that they have different accents HSJBDGJ
yeah underworld - american, overworld - british
Zag and Hades count as overworld technically
Anyone born of the underworld
Disregarding zag
Now that I think about it Hypnos is definitely not British lmfao
RIGHT JSJBDG
im american myself so i never thought "ah yes. that is an american accent" and i feel very silly for not processing it now
tbh I'm not American or British and I never noticed it either until the dialogue with Dusa
actually oddly enough eurydice also has an american accent despite not being from the underworld???
yes! shes an oak nymph
oh wow this entire discussion makes everything make so much more sense HAHA
I was aware that some characters have an english accent
Like a pretty strong accent honestly
Idk why it never occurred to me that characters like nyx and hypnos dont tho lmaoo
Cause like, all the Olympian Gods seem to have English accents, and so do Hades and Zag, while the Chthonic/Underworld deities/figures have American accents. It's a nice distinction!
y ep
i mean he was a human at one point
oh wait no actually the shades have english accents dont they
hes just like that ig lol
i think asterius also has an american accent but that just might be bc hes not a human
How do you know if you’ve maxed affinity with a god? Are there just no more empty/locked hearts?
Yup, it takes between 5-10 hearts depending on the god
Ah I think I’m near the epilogue
Lost interest in pushing higher heat as 12+ is getting pretty hard so I might just finish off the main story and wait for the sequel
yknow if you ever want something new to do theres always speedrunning....
is persephone a farmer
does she plant stuff
Yep.
Persephone is the wife of Hades
Yes
she is the goddess of spring
Demeter is the farmer
closely related to persephone
in the game Persephone's title is Goddes of Verdure so basically greenery
so kinda farmer too
technically still a farmer
How the hell do babies work in the hades universe
Like persephone, the mother, didnt know her child was birthed
Then he got birthed without her presence
ye
the child was born
but the he died
so persephone just like
oh damn bruh
then she went back to greece to live (she was high on copium)
and then zagreus respawns and everyone there facepalms probably
like someone else already said, he was stillborn
in her grief, persephone left, and then nyx defied fate to bring him back to life, but no one told persephone that, no, her son is actually Not Dead anymore
persephone bruh moment fr
It’s in Chaos, and u need a perfect catch.
Brooo
You spent waay too much grassless time in Hades
True.
I've reached Hades for the 4th time now lol
Nice.
kept dying
aparently artemis special dont work well with that bow
whatever
yeah, i know it's in chaos but you need a chaos gate, then you need to be lucky enough to get a fishing point
and then you need to be skilled enough
Well I’ve had good rng so far, I just always fumbled the bag on Chaos.
When u time the catch for a fish perfectly.
Usually gives u better rewards.
Mb thats why ive only been getting crappy fish 😭
Lel.
Idk what the best boons for Chiron are as I dont use it often but maybe try Zeus special?
Bolts do a ton of dmg
Then do Aphrodite attack and get Zeus call and smouldering air if you can
zeus special has an internal cooldown of 0.2 secs, so you only get like 1-2 bolts with chiron
Nyx says if she did not reveal my existence to the olympians and they found out it would be bad. Am I deceiving them in the story? And why is Persephone hiding?
Youl find out
How do you beat the game without relying on rng to boost your special to ridiculous levels
But seriously, max out your mirror.
That’s a consistent way to improve your runs.
Idk man
My most consistent winning strat rn is the intercontinential ballistic missile + aphro/artem spec
and then spam that
Oh yeah, I forgot.
You could also: Play Shield unironically
Run Zagfist Plume Gaming
Play Javelin Spear
And God Mode.
Elaborate
How do I force the builds I want
There’s Fated Persuasion, it rerolls Boons.
💀that exists???
is that after the 30 jey unlock
Yep.
goddamn
Key grinding gets boring
and i'll spend 15 keys on titan blood any chance I get lol
Lel, fair.
BROOO
THEY SELLING A DIAMOND FOR 100 GEMS
I HAVE 98
SCREW THEM
THE BROKER IS WRETCHED
…
WHO LIKES COWS
amazing
Indeed.
getting chthonic keys are annoying
True, it’s funny how easy keys are to get after you unlock the rest of the mirror.
funnee
Foneee
Fun Fact:
Best boy is neither any of the gods or demigods
our best boy is cerberus
^
Yes.
is it possible to forge a bond with Sysiphus? he's the only one i'm missing
Yes. Give him nectar and talk to Bouldy.
The goodest, goodest, and the goodest of bois.
Only the bond
beef tartarus
do you know
whenever he do escapes
he eats a bunch of poms
that's how he lives
his dad would not feed him if he doesn't escape
jk that's a joke
if he starves to death then he'll respawn nearly-starved to death then
I just finished the game after Heat 9, is there more to the story ahead?
If you got the 10 escapes (aka Presephone already back with you) then you are still missing the epilogue
Dont expect something crazy story wise just a neat finishing touch
There os also any story you have with other characters like Achilles and patroclus , etc
How do you get the “hidden” aspect for shield
Witch one is for shield
Has anyone else noticed that Zagreus's relationships all align to a sort of Greek ideal of love? Like Dusa is Platonic, Meg is Erotic, etc.
I havent really tried to align it all up beyond that
Yep, later in the story you find out that it’s deliberate.
I think it’s when u max hearts with Aphro.
i see
Oh yeah I forgot that dialogue
What would you say thanatos's is?
2 options and it really depends. There is Ludus which sort of fits the fwb thing they have. Then there is Philia, which is committed friendship, but I feel the would better fit someone else.
Agape probably applies to Chaos. Chaos likes Zagreus like they admire all creations.
More mostly because Zagreus found a way there
Could be something else too. I find Dusa most representative since she turns you down either way
I think of this love scheme as Zagreus's needs for others manifesting according to plan.
Since why he would bother to interact with others or follow his duties is a major question of the game.
There is an interesting contradiction I notice there though, since his plan to isolate himself from his family involved relying on the rest of his family.
Philia might just apply to Dusa since Platonic love is just a term we use now to describe the ideal Plato was describing.
Can i continue story without heat?
epilogue is remaining i finished the game
Yes
okay thanks
you’ll need quite a bit of ambrosia, and heat is an easy way to get it, but you can also go to the wretched broker and/or try using different weapons.
i just used stygian whole game so might try other weapon for ambrosia
varatha malphon and the shield (i forgot what it’s called) are the most similar ones to stygius; if you don’t have the upgrade from the house contractor that gives you gemstones for bosses or the fishing rod i’d recommend getting those as well for the wretched broker
i have everything unlocked in contractor
so i can try those weapons
getting to the epilogue shouldn’t be too hard then : )
i see thanks 😄
@uncut adder please keep it clean
I just noticed, why are fury sisters called fury sisters if it's the roman name version, and in greek mythology they are erinyes?
Meg calls them erinyes too
why's the name in English, the original is in ancient Greek
How do I explain it uh, it's sort just using Shakespeare language
Which generally uses Roman names
This is done as a sort of interpretation of how a different language is spoken and interpreted.
It's basically why a lot of tropes about classical productions exist
Including the weird half British accent
It's like a fake authenticity if that makes sense. By referencing the trope, it seems real.
Not that that is bad. Hades is really a very fun use of this kind of genre and such.
So Erinyes and Furies are just used as synonyms.
Why? Arguably because in a lot of classical poetry, repeating the same word is discouraged, and often it is easier to fit in a synonym into a rhyme scheme or whatever.
This is even done somewhat in Homer
I'm a bit rusty but there is a term for the sort of titles Homer uses as "filler" or like, poetic licence, like fleet-footed Hermed
Repeated adjectives meant to immediately identity the character and their traits.
So what is Meg's character? She isnt literally her characteristics, she is more than whatever she represents and a Fury. But her character is to perform as a Fury.
Hope this makes sense. I can see it being kind of confusing because it's sort of like, talking around the subject matter and specifics to produce poetic effect.
From where did the Infernal Arms come from?
And, lorewise...
Which's your favorite?
i like how the codex jabs at the rail, saying "I am relieved to say the Rail's cruel design has not yet been discovered in a stroke of mortal inspiration, to conduct their wars. Let us pray for their sake that it never shall."
guns are powerful
Oof, Achilles will be at a surprise for sure
Mine's Malphon and how Demeter punched her father in the balls
If the starting boon seems pretty terrible for a weapon, whats the best course of action?
Hope that you get a replacement later on
sell asap
love the rail's Lucifer aspect and the magnetic Malphon
Varatha's triple extended jab is also OP
lorewise i like varatha and stygian, as Zagreus has the physique and mentor that can make them formidable
Shower thought: Hades 2's main girl may as well be Zagreus' daughter, instead of brother.
because of the trailer, her last line was "i'm coming for you father" then we cut to Hades, we immediately connect Hades = Father, but that's not necessarily be the thing here.
pretty sure that's what the message is supposed to convey though
my headcannon be damned 😆 Since it's going to be a "follow up" game, I anthropomorphised the characters like regular humans falling in love, having a kid etc.
well, greek gods don't need antropomorphization usually, they're usually depicted as "human in all of humanity's aspects but ALSO SUPERPOWERS"
they fall in and out of love, they have kids, some of them have so, so many kids that it becomes a problem
in FAQ it straight up says she's Zag's sister
Micro eg?
The sickle Mel uses was literally used by Cronus to castrate his father.
Such a wild premise for the sequel
Because as soon as I saw the trailer all I could think is cycles of violence and that she is gonna castrate the patriarch of the family
do you think supergiant would actually go through with openly stating that though
i suppose it miiiight get hinted at but...
Its hinted at yeah. I doubt it will happen.
It's just kind of implied to me and its definitely very aggressive along with the witch theme. I like it.
Like regardless they might have to acknowledge it
It's one of the main origin stories of Aphrodite.
But as far as I remember they havent aligned with any yet
It likely wont be exactly that story, but it's a major element of the weapon in the way Hades uses myths.
That sickle represents ending the old and bringing on the new.
Post-epilogue after saving Hades. "Uhhh daughter, about that weapon..."
what he's his younger sister by several years, and she still has to rescue hades and we hear hades's voice-- but the image in chains that looks like hades is actually zagreus who's also captured
after few hours playtime , I feel that the dialogue in this game is in high level English and a little difficult to understand for someone who speaks English as their second language.
like "... they mock me, still." , this is looks weird sentence for me ..
most of it comes from the dialogues of hades
There are some word orders that aren't necessarily rules
they can be rearranged based on vibes
maybe it would be easily to understand if like this :
" i do like to play with cerberus ... still ". rather than >
"i do like to play with cerberus , still ".
but yeah i didn't beat the game yet , stuck at third boss ... but i enjoy every dialogues in this game , masterpiece.
It's just reversing the order for effect. Fair though. They do use heightened English sometimes.
Glad you like it and are understanding it well enough.
thank you , i learn english from game and english community .. still bad in grammar tho .
old-ass ancient english
i think
Just unlock every other aspect I think
hmm ok
Nah nvm I'm dumb
ive done everything and got all the hidden aspects but the gloves, i keep fighting him but ||the bull just womt give me the waking phrase||
Like in the miniboss room or in the final fight with theseus
i cant get to say anything other then a varation if the “you challenge me again short one” in his solo room. i keep doinf fist runs but he wont tell me the wakeup phrase
i think he already commented “huh u think u can beat me with bare hands” a while ago and i have enough titan blood in the fists
but i can’t trigger the wake up phrase
and you've unlocked the spear hidden aspect?
"ive done everything and got all the hidden aspects but the gloves" i would assume yes
unfortunately with the way dialogue works in the game, if you've met all of the requirements there isn't much you can do besides keep trying
stuff like aspect dialogue is supposed to be weighted for higher priority in the dialogue pool but sometimes that doesn't work and you just have to keep trying until it pops up. unfortunately x2 this is pretty much the dialogue system working as intended
there's no way to force a dialogue to trigger other than meeting the minimum requirements and hoping for the best
okidoky ty!
how many runs did it take y'all to progress the story with sisyphus and then achilles and patrcolus? I'm 60 clears deep and still unable to gift them anything more or getting any more dialogue options with them
have you tried talking to bouldy
yeah, it took me a while to notice too
it's not available from the start but there is a dialogue where sisyphus says you could try talking to him and after that you can even give Bouldy nectar
oh my god it worked lmao that's unexpected
hey so i uh completed war god bloodlust but ares is still locked i cant give him ambrosia?
does anyone know why/ how to unlock. i thought i just needed to complete tht prophecy
Iirc he has some dialogues about Nyx that may have to do with it.
anything specific i need to do to trigger it? or just keep picking up his boons
I think you have to set up a date between them? The wiki does say it is just the prophecy though right?
yeh
If so, it's just dialogue rng. You have to keep talking to him.
You will get the dialogue that unlocks the next hearts then
kk ty
Np
its just like there are times i dont even get dialogie with him it just cuts to a boom choice
Yeah. That happens too.
nyx isn't related to the ares prophecy iirc, you just have to wait for him to give you the prophecy finishing dialogue on subsequent runs
like i turned the minor list prophecy in so i figured it was done
i am not fully sure on that as i did that quest in early access and it was bugged for a while anyway but i am pretty positive there isnt any required dialogue about nyx or from her
am on my way to bed so i cant check into it atm but if its not marked complete i think it may just be doing more runs til it pops
🫡
kk ty! ill equip the blood ig lol
Yeah just mentioned Nyx as that is a dialogue chain with him with as a "quest", thought it was related.
ok so ive been doing runs and it still wont unlock to let me give him ambrosia
im uh getting concerned
if you've slain 10k enemies then it's gott a just be rng
yeah i turned the prophecy in like a week ago lmao
just waiting for him to let me give him ambrosi
my fiance says i need to do more god favors for it to happen or something
as far as i can tell you literally just have to finish the prophecy and do more runs. have you ever seen a line of text from him that starts with something like "The more you slay your enemies, my kin, the stronger the bond between us, I think."
theres his 10k souls line which is for finishing the prophecy i think and once thats turned in (which you say you have) then its really just. finding that one line for the unlock
if he's just giving you recycled dialogue and you still cant get the unlock im not sure whats going on :/a his quest was buggy initially but i thought it was fixed
ih my god i literally just got it
it was doing this for a while ive been playing daily for a week trying to get it to pop
and it just finally popped lmao
he was being stinky, glad it finally came up!
Nice!
been playing hades for about a week and love it so far, but the prose has some consistent stylistic and grammatical issues that keep setting off my copyeditor alarm bells. i don't hate the writing by any means-- for all its faults, the character dialogue is still frequently charming, imo, and the narration manages a punchy turn of phrase now and then. plus, the fact that sg has ONE writer is insane to me, and kudos to him for outputting such a massive amount of work. still, though, i'm frustrated by it frequently enough that i guess i felt the need to ask if anyone else has similar frustrations. i may just be embarrassingly persnickety, tho, lol
i dont get upset by it but theres a phrase zag keeps using that i think is really goofy bc it just grammatically feels off. maybe not grammatically idk im not a word dr. but when says “this could come in useful” it makes me giggle lmao
ither then that particular instance tho i think the dialogue is phenomenal and im in love with the fact that aside from the chatter of the faceless shades its fully voice acted
i come with a question now tho. so im tryna get it on with ||than|| but i cant talk to them so i cant gift to them. every time i go back to the house i just listen into a conversation and then poof gone. i wanna give them the good good nectarrrrr uwaaaa
i noticed that too, but i think may be a regional idiom. i've definitely heard/seen "come in useful" in other contexts
yeah, it's a recognized idiom
apparently not a regional one, though. ANYWAY, @lime hinge have you encountered this character outside the house yet? in my experience, ||the encounters in which he assists you are your main opportunities to give him nectar||. I haven't given them any nectar beyond the keepsake threshold--maybe you get more opportunities to bond once you do, but i haven't been able to talk to them directly in the house thus far
yeah no im out of that phase where you can gift ||after you little kill count battles he just poofs away im at the point where i give him ambrosia|| i just am@having bad luck on the rng
ah gotcha
finalllly they showed up
i swear ever since i got hermes quest for ||kill charon twice in a row his fight/coinbag hasn’t spawned once|| lmao rng why
Woo did it
just 4 more trophies
and i already finished 2 if them it just hasnt popped yet
||changing achillies and sisphus pact||
i just closed and opened the game and one of them popped lmao
i just wish the gods would unlock theyre hearts
no one giving me quests and the hermes quest i did complete hasnt opened his heart
whats up with these dialogue priorities
When you mean hermes qiest are you talking about the defeat charon twice?
the gods jist keep tlking abt my weapons and stuff not giving me theyre quests to unlock theyre hearts
yea
Cuz that isn't his favor
ahh tht makes sense then
You need to talk to him with his keepsake at 3 stars
ohhh is that what triggers his quest? or is that his quest
Thats his quest
Poseidon does something similar, his prophecy of defeating em3 theseus is not the one that opens the loc
idk what opened his lock but i have him filled iut
You need to have a certain amount of fish caugh and then talk to him with a fish on hand
Oh nice
zues posiden and ares are done
i have athena aphrodite dinosaurus artemis and hermes all with locked hearts
they keep commenting on my weapons and whatnot but wont give me the favor
i mean i dont have any prophecies for them
like the dialogue that initiates the favor isn’t happening
Dio for exaple just keep bein a good person and spread ambrosia everywhere
Aphro doest mention what she wants but you can guess if you have your relationship with some characters developed
ik she needs me to bang everyone i can bang
but like. do the favors not show up as propheicies then?? is it just tasks i need to figure out
i think ive given ambrosia to enough ppl for dino
and im almost done romancing i have 2 out of 3 finished
like all the other favors have shown up as prohphicies
Yeah not everything is a prophecy's
Oh
so i assumed the rest would show up
Charon for example doesnt show up
but maybe it’s different bc its a trophy
But that happens by just playing lol
does charon have a favor!?
All characters have a lock yeah
good to know
Gods wise the best to know is that demeter wont open till the epilogue
But she counts as one of the 6 gods you need to max as soon you reach the lock
i know i cant get her till the epilogue i havent given her much nextar bc if that
but to get to the epilogue i need to bond with the gods
its 6 i need to bond with damn i thought it was just 5
Dem/hermes are easy ones at least lol
Zeus/arte too if rng is kind
Then dio just kinda happens if you keep gifting
ok it looks like i dealt out enough ambrosia just need to forge more binds for dio
and ik how to do hermes now thts good
wooo epilogue here we go
happened to my friend too, sent a PM to bunch of people and also to several servers
would recommend a virus scan too
she found a keylogger
am i allowed to discuss an au idea here or should that go to #fan-works
ehhh
ill put it in fanworks to be safe
How many times do I have to beat Hades before I can give nectar to persephone? I wanna see what she says
10
Yeesh I’m only at 3
Keep practicing and it will be easy to do every time.
I’ve officially made it 8 times total since then
Does anyone know how I can give the ambrosia to dusa? I've finished doing her favor but the option still isn't there. Does it have something to do with Nyx?
just keep talking to her
For Meg should one do full escapes or lava runs ok not showing up in zags room
You just need to keep talking to Nyx and then eventually she will hire Dusa back.
And it costs 2 ambrosia for gifting💀
Dusa ambrosia keeps increasing
I gave her 4 yesterday 💀
Gotta restock the lounge
It seems like Zagreus really care about Dusa and he's doing his best to make Dusa happy.
oh thank god
i had a similar reaction when i thought Zag and Than were brothers at some point...
and then learned about Zag's heritage some more
thankfully
but yeah, greek myths
they go there
pretty sure hades devs made sure there wouldn't be incest
its based on greek mythology, half of the things came from incest if we are being honest so its good that they didnt directly point to it
Hades is sitting down everytime we meet him at the house aint he?}
Well I think it might be more because devs cant animate Zag sitting down
I think the main reason would be, why would they animate Zag sitting down if its a rogue like, if it had more building stuff I can see it, but that aint the main reason for the game
Not sure if she's THE oldest other than Chaos, but she's a primordial, so she's one of the oldest ones
Hiii I’m after a little help - I’m a MA Classical Studies student doing a thesis on the underworld geography of Hades!
I was wondering if anyone has encountered any in depth info of the devs/artists talking about their inspiration from classics within the story/setting - it would be SUPER helpful for me >.<
I already have a fair bit but I thought id throw a message into the abyss and see if anyone can help me hehe
I'm pretty sure asphodel and Elysium are from Greek mythology
the others probably are too but I'm not sure about them
also there are a few weapons in the game from classic stories like Beowulf, King Arthur, and a few others
I'm not sure where to find developer/actor commentary though
Yes! Totally - all the landspaces you see are from ancient descriptions, it’s super sick
Thank youuuu regardless
Zagreus cant sit down because his feet are burning
i think the closest you can get is the noclip documentary but its kinda the development process of the game as a whole
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ykgcWcMpSA this only really covers characters, in general I don't think they talk super often about the setting necessarily

Special thanks to Noclip's Danny O'Dwyer and team for...
I can remember Greg saying something at some point about reading like the illad and other classical texts but I'm not sure where
oh you can search comments in this servers search bar from him about that
such as this https://gyazo.com/84735ba7a291273baf21ce4a9976bf5b
typically it'll all be in #ask-supergiant
im sure he's mentioned it elsewhere since its def smth that comes up a bit
Oooh you’re all so incredibly helpful!! Thank you 🥰
I posted a bit about this in response to the poll about hottest NPC. How do people feel about Artemis? What is her sexuality? What is the significance of her relationship dialogue with Zagreus?
I think the game portrays her as homoromantic and asexual. All of her dialogue with Zagreus upon a relationship bar change has to do with Callisto, effectively making that dialogue her coming out to you, but never confirming because it also just isnt like a sexual relationship, leaving some stuff in the dark potentially.
I also believe Thanatos in his relationship dialogue comments on Olympus being more heteronormative than Hades, explaining the tone of Artemis's dialogue. I would need to replay thoroughly to confirm this dialogue.
It's a bit until pride but it seems like an interesting topic
hey yall just a reminder to keep it clean, i also see in #h1-discussion that this it may have originally stemmed from the game character but it seems like its toeing the line between a discussion about the original mythology and such and the game. if youd like to continue it, please take it to dms
or to #off-topic-discussion if its just about the myth, keeping the rules from #readme-first in mind
Oh fair. I am going off of her story dialogue specifically. Sorry.
That's why I thought it was best left to this channel.
got || back together with meg, scene was pretty nice 😳 ||
ikr
Why don’t the gods just take hades’ son away
Like send Some horse with wings
And fly to Olympos
hades is very powerfull, and demeter showed taht you cant just storm the underworld
You also dont wanna mess with the place that has the trapped souls of lots of people
The Olympians fought with Hades in the Titanomachy where they sealed their own parents in Tartarus for eternity. If they failed, they would suffer the same.
You wouldnt recreate a war of that scale over one kid
Even if Hades is merciful or they win it isnt worth it. Who would manage Hades?
There is a certain balance struck and they have to work within it.
it's pretty tough to get out of the underworld as we've seen
could you imagine storming towards it?
and personally i dont think the gods really care about zag all that much
like they help him because of their ego but really if they did care they'd actually send someone to get him out
like honestly they couldn't care less if zag makes it or not, he shows them respect and so they give him a little help, they don't even consider zag a full god so he isnt even granted that respect
They initially help him because they have personal grudges against Hades
Did devs make it clear Hades is separate universe?
We dont really get a concise time period, more like a ceasar salad of events
Seperate universe to what?
ours
like they are not even trying to adapt events
Uh
only loose one is Achiles' arc
well uh
considering it is based on myths and not things that happened.....
I'd say its pretty much confirmed its on a different universe
Specially considering the focus they have on zagreus since unless you were a scholar I'd say the chances of knowing he existed are dim
And the fact that persephone is in the surface and yet its still frozen over which would imply that demeter hasnt seen her daughter in awhile
so...
Yes, its a separate universe
It basically is yes. Consider it all an isolated parallel for telling its story.
Yeah I've heard of Zagreus maybe once before but never heard of Melinoë
Both are extremely minor
Basically our actual array of myths are very small
Why? Because we have two major sources, one poetic and one just a sort of curmudgeonly academic
Homer and Hesiod.
Then there are other various sources that generally are more specific
Because Homer and Hesiod are also metropolitans. They were writing stories for a growing concept of a Greek nation, where before it was mostly scattered, loosely related people.
But Hades is actually very faithful to multiple stories.
The prank Dionysus has you play on Orpheus is great
So it is it's own universe, separate even from our own classical Greek myth, but is still faithful to it.
Best of both worlds I guess to do the most with the material.
I mean the brilliance of mythology is that it’s a soup of ideas - it welcomes and creates stories of its own, you don’t need to conform to a specific rigorous structure to recognise it
So hades could be another universe, but you could also see it as just another perspective on the underworld
We have so many stories, the game slots perfectly into the line
Zagreus’ origin is super cool tbh, I won’t go into it cos it’s not appropriate for this channel but I loveee the idea of finding a little minor character and creating a whole game around him
Yeah I take it as it's own contribution. It's very rigorous and is very specific with what it chose to leave in vs leave out.
Like actually modifying the story of Persephone to make it more neutral and complex
Even eurydice’s story is much more neutral! It’s wonderful
Like in myth she has no real idea of choice but in the game there’s very much an idea of autonomy and her choice
Beautiful
I'd like to think that this is a continuity of how the stories were traditionally told since most of them were shared orally initially
So each speaker infused the story with their perspective
Yeah exactly
Totally!!!
just keep playing
the first time he calls you Zagreus 🥰
Please don’t try to evade the swear filter, thank you!
i have zero clue if this means anything but i do find it interesting that in asterius’ battle, his title is “asterius, bull of minos” while in theseus’ fight hes just titled “minotaur”
could be that theseus sees him less as a dude and more of just a warrior or monster? idk
havent finished the game yet but these are my silly thoughts
I don't think it's meant as a derogatory term since both mean the same thing afaik
fair
i just think the fact hes only called by his title and not his name in theseus’ fight is interesting
Also Theseus and Minotaur are like the bros™
They even have their own friendship arc
Also, seeing as Zag is the one who "sees" the titles, it's proly Zag who is attributing him as the Minotaur
Not sure a god is the best to ask, Zag...Achilles is right there! 😅
I’m saying.
hey have you watched/listened to hadestown because i think you would love it
Maybe in a sense, but Theseus does have some sort of respect for Asterius. Its complicated and unclear and Asterius especially only hints at his code, I guess.
Yeah I remembered the story. When Asterius died he could have gone to a worse part of Hades, but Theseus ensured he would be given a place in Elysium due to him technically being his half brother, and of course that making him royalty.
The fear of a worse place in Hades is feared so much that Asterius dedicated his existence to Theseus, to fight with him forever
And also that he was respected as a person in that decision, and given a humane afterlife.
Its funny she has the worst revenge/theseus call
Lel.
Just taking over half the map
I remember when a bloodless jumped into the vortex right as it spawned in the middle of one of those rooms.
Adding another like 20 seconds to the room
I mean if you're speedrunning then yeah but if you're just doing the run then Demeter is one of the easiest as it's most of the time very easy to avoid and they also have that indicator before they spawn of where they are going to spawn
this made me chuckle when i read it
Right?
my ranking of the silly shades around the house:
- wretched broker
- zagreus’ only fan
- head chef
- resource director
- house contractor
the only one i actually dislike is house contractor because he refuses to speak to medusa. evil being….
They're all bound to service for a reason. They have less freedom than Dusa.
You've got a friend in horse
NOPE NOT A FRIEND
Actually a friend (Greece and Turkey have had millenia of cultural exchange and a war does not make them inherent enemies)
You got 100 friends in me
I think Troy is in modern Turkey at least. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Yup! Turkey. Right on the coast.
Wooohooo! I had a pretty dreadful build, did not expect to make it past Hades. ||He just let me pass, which was very welcome, and HEY Persephone returns home!! That's pretty awesome||
funny fact: in mythology, the final head of the hydra is immortal
it shouldnt even be in hades
Coming right up in hades 2
the furies calling zagreus “redblood” as in insult has always been funny to me because like
why are YOU talking
you are SENTIENT TITAN BLOOD (which is red in the game!!)
friendly fire….
Yeah alecto is special
She can bleed me anytime
So
at the very beginning of the game
why is zag trying to escape
i forgot
because it becomes trying to escape to find persephone
but what is it at the beginning
I think hes just being a rebel teenager
"You said I cant? Watch me" type vibe
I also think is nyx trying to get us to discover the truth, without directly telling
Since she's the one that puts us in contact with athena
There's also that he wants to see the open world
One might say charon is involved too since he put a training dummy right outside your room, they just want the queen back
^
this is the beginning
the scene where he discovers that is a flashback
right?
nyx wouldnt have helped him as much as she did, risking contact with olympus
if zag didnt have a reason
that was before the game started
gotta be
man i should not have made this essay about hades i have to explain so much
like hold on
zag literally doesnt have the mirror when he finds out about mom
that is the event that provokes his escape
because... it's the game?
like the gameplay comes from escape attempts
so we do it
ig
the lore reason why zag escapes is bc he wants to reach mom since outside is where nyx told him she was
i am 3 pages in and i havent gotten to boons yet
im convinced i shoudl just make this about a single escape
dunno what that is
and we had to do an essay about a hero's journey or virgin's promise we went through
composition and analysis
and like
i don't do anything
i wake up
still dunno what that is tbh
i sit at the computer for school
i sit at the computer for homework
i sit at the comptuer for video games
i go to b ed
thats basically my average day
im not complaining
but i dont exactly have many interesting stories about my life just yet
so we had to find 3 options
and people said hades was the best one of mine
yeah but i think i either have a poorly explained essay or a too long essay
well like
i made it more about my journey of like doing heat and speedrunning
in the concept
oh ok
but like
i think i could just do the nem 6:53 and narrate it as though i was zag
is it really a hero's journey though, an individual run
i mean'
its more the culmination of all of them right
i gues
yeah
yeah
Well the journey is actually escape the underworld, dad just happens to be in the way
You remove dad from the final chamber, our purpose is still the same
Zagreus has even asked charon to take him straight away
theoretically the true character development that progresses the relationship between mr hades and dad is in fact killing dad
thus if you define the journey as that of an emotional one rather than the ltieral physical journey through hell
(which one's development as a person reflected as that of someone playing the funny hades video game would definitely be closer to, but that's not the point)
i decided to do the sub6 grind
imo the real journey wasn't reaching mom, but the character developments we've made along the way
which included repeated patricide
have fun
my only experience with the hero's journey archetype has been the OSP video so you probably know more about this than i
lol
This correct, however the only reason why we are killing him is because he's trying to stop us from what we are trying to do. We are not doing it for the sake of it
He's just an obstacle on the way, not the main reason
Is the journey about killing megaera? No, sometimes she isn't even there, we kill her because we have to
i mean you are correct, the destination is mom
And we'll, testing after it
and the journey is to get to mom
yeah
but that journey is more about just mom
its about the relationships zag forms
its about the ones he develops
its about how he improves as a person
That was just a bonus for story purposes
Eh, depends on the context
the journey of zag not only finding something to do with his life, but fixing up holes within it as well?
idk
lol
had anyone noticed the titan in the background of the first chamber you fought and got athena in the first run?
you mean the giant background prop in tartarus?
yeah that one
Chronos Easter egg, guys they teased hades 2 on release
Not me
Define like
without out a doubt
by far
my most
hated character
no, I don't want you to remind me that I died to a spike trap, go back to sleep
I like him about as much as Than
Like, in the sense that enjoy interacting with him
Just don't die to traps, bros just pointing out your skill issue
Getting him the autograph was probably one of the most satisfying moments
tbh that really frustrated me cause you have to die to champions on purpose and there is nothing more humiliation that dying to theseus
especially if you then get house of hades state where hypnos isn't present/ is talking to someone else so you can't trigger the required dialogue so you have to do it again
of the required sixth deaths I had to do like 10 total because of that
Cosigned because that was real.
My friend and I were sad he was not romanceable.
He is very cute!
would be weird if u could romance a guy and his brother
Theseus looks absolutely ridiculous in his Extreme Measures Armor and I love Supergiant for it.
yeah asterius' armor looks almost noble and then you have theseus cackling like an idiot in his macedonian with that stupid mask on. just further demonstrates the difference in respectability between them
hypnos worth it
unpopular opinion, em3 makes that fight easier
since no spear barrage
bombs take 3-5 business day to land, if they hit you idk what to say
i came to say that asterius' spin is hell
I am not sure that's unpopular
it just makes theseus easier
aka 50% of the fight
yeah asterius gets slightly scarier but pretty much removing theseus out of the fight is such a breeze
Nah theseus is less than 50%
Also em3 is a pain in the ass for melee weapons but thats discussion for other channels
yeah em bosses aren't really harder except beyblade asterius and hades himself. I've still never beaten em4 hades with maxed FO on.
that spear throw man
i love how unintentionally rude he is
he's not rude so much as he's like 7 years old
"five hundred! i can't even think of a number higher than that!"
hes definitely not deliberately trying to be rude
a lot of people just think he is because theyve just lost a run and having him comment about it frustrates them further
He's just doing his job, greeting you, while commenting about your death
Hey
I just beat hades for the first time and I thought that after I finished the game I could watch this video:
https://youtu.be/2y4aGe0Y-K0 (since it mentioned it'd have spoilers
||However now with there apperently being another storyline after you beat him|| I wonder wether it's fine if I watch it or if it'd be recommended to play more first

hey everyone, welcome back to another video. this time round we’re taking a proper deep dive into the masterpiece that is Hades - however, rather than looking at this like a review, or a stereotypical analysis, we’re going to be checking out the mythology that inspired the game, and se...
theres a lot more story after your first clear
Alright thx for the info :D
Anyone else thinks Nyx ||was just mad you had feelings for Dusa and fired her ass because you're also with her son? Also, isn't it implied Zag had feelings for Than before he knew Nyx wasn't his mom? Sweet Home Alabama||
Welcome to Greek Mythology, where everyone is everyone's cousin, and nobody cares!
||Mom says Nyx is very rule oriented, so I don't think it's malicious.||
lol yeah
Meg sees nyx as a mother, so we are with her daughter as well, not to mention we are like thanatos step brother
So just don't overthink it
yeah I thought about the Meg thing too, because I actually thought that was her daughter, but wiki says otherwise
she sees nyx as a mother figure, just like zag
well he ACTUALLY thought Nyx was his mother for awhile
and in a later convo zag, in a convo with nyx, says he kinda knew it all along regardless because he didnt look anything like nyx's other children
either way nyx as a diety has always been like. more of a motherly sort of concept bc shes a primordial god
imagine the story of Hades 2 and then u get to see more family drama, this time their Grandfather Chrono is involve
the family drama is expanding
gotta keep that royal gods blood clear of any outsider am i right?
I am very curious about Fates, they have strong control of many gods fate
so far i only aware Nyx can defy fate for just one occasion
i could be missing out a lot of detail
I think it's more that there were so many versions over such a big area (in pre-widespread communication times), and the Greeks were chill about it.
You know what they weren't chill about? Who was the dominant partner between Achilles and Patroclus. They had shipping wars over it! 😅
can't wait to eventually see Thor
no wait that is wrong mythology
i consumed too much GoW
Thor as aspect?
hell yeah
turn out Hades does allow for other mythology to crossover just like GoW with the aspect
i love it when mythology games do that, it's an epic crossover
like what Smite been doing
so much gods from so much religion
It's fun delving into their origins and seeing how some of them spawned each other, too.
The area around the cradle has like, 5 goddesses that are the same person.
it's super fascinating how the same god such as Hades can have so many different interpretation
-
Hades in this game is very strict father
-
Hades in God of war is a savage monster
-
Hades from Disney is quirky deviant trickster
Hades in Greece was barely there, maybe an offshoot of Poseidon. 😅
In Age of Mythology he straight up just did nothing in any shape way or form
LMAO
Hades in Kid icarus is hilarious (even if there is barely a resemblance to the myths lol)
despite being how scary Hades is, he pretty easy to be bully by his own son and Nyx
he have no power in the house and Zag can just mess with the house all he like lul
the only time Hades show good beating is only at the end and it doesn't related to his authority in the house
giving that Zag can beat Hades, then that mean Zag can always beat Hades to get what he want, and i don't know if Hades was even holding back even during his boss fight, or the powers during Hades boss fight is all the power that he can do
so much times Hades just threatening people like Zag and Nyx and the fact that he can't do anything to stop them make me feel like Hades actually weaker lul, he kinda like just all talk
"the pleasure-seeking Prince" - narrator
have Aphrodite poster in his bedroom
Not fighting for whoever knows how many years would get you really rusty
Also why fight when saying your name is enough to make most souls get scared for after life
the amount of time Zag fight Hades in my noob playthrough would have Hades spend sooooo much time practicing son beating that he became good
i love how the shades are afraid of him, but only Zag know he not that scary, and Hades told him to "Keep in down" in afraid of being embarrassed by his own son
comparing Hades and Nyx, i feel like Nyx have more power than Hades despite how he saying he is the boss in the house
More than being embarrassed I feel it would be a massive annoyance having the shades in tart "nah we can escape" 24/7
Also Nyx is a primordial god so yeah she does have more power
But dad was give the role so
A lot of the voice acting in Hades was so good in the subtle way they pause and sniff in with there nose, i can imagine the body language they maybe doing during those voices
"Uhhh erm" - the narrator after snitching secret by accident
the narrator slipped up is the most funniest dialog in the game so far for me
I like that hades lol
@grizzled rose
"A certain kind of love, for family?..." - Aphrodite
yes, Zag really love his family member named Thanos
Thanos the best greek deity
perhaps even Thanatos
oh wait i got the wrong name, it's Thanatos, not Thanos! GOD DAMN IT MARVEL!! YOU RUINED ME!!!
Alls fair in love and war, as they say!
Aphrodite is MARRIED???? NOOOOOOOO!!!
Not like Aphrodite cares
or any greek deity, for that matter
Yes, to me of course
bro is tempting fate or gonna end up in a net
I fall to my knees, shaking my fists at the sky with loud, ugly sobs.
so true
Welcome to hades where you can try to rizz up people that are married/divorced
I will say, I love the ambiguity of Achilles' rejection, masterfully executed.
Please keep it clean, thank you
ah sorry
So you know how Zag calmly walks out of the Pool of Styx after you die after the first time in-game?
One thing I wanna ask SGG at the next Q-and-A (should there be a next one) was how Zagreus discovered his respawning abilities.
i'd assume someone told him
What I personally interpreted when I first started the game, was that our first run/tutorial wasn't his first time in general
or he'd figure that the pool that all the dead people come out of is where he'd come if he died
his dad runs the place after all
True!
For me, I just thought he got killed in Tartarus the first time or hopped out of the courtyard window wrong and sort of rose from the styx freaking out
Before realizing that he was in the hall and causing a scene
when he dies on first run he does say "I'm...home?" in kind of surprised tone though
I always interpreted it as awkward hello
"Hello father, just going out to disrupt order, love you! ☺️"
That could be ||after the banquet|| when he says that.
Zagreus probably knows he's immortal but maybe doesn't know how exactly that immortality works. if he's surprised to be home after his first death, it might be that he was just told Styx would bring him back but not how and where, for example.
another option is that he's disoriented in the first few minutes, it's not uncommon for humans to be disoriented even after sleep, what's left for gods after death. his neurons might still be reassembling in those seconds when he walks out of the pool, for all we know
So that's what's keeping his feet so hot and glowy
i am wondering if Melinoe, Zag's sister, were born alongside Zag or born after Zag, because Hades 1 make it look like Melinoe doesn't exist
if Melinoe born after Zag, then she probably wouldn't share the same fate of bound to the underworld the same as Zag is
more of a discussion for #h2-discussion , isn't it
guessing she's born after the events of hades 1. and yeah being outside doesn't seem to bother her, although that could be hecate
oh, i didn't know it exist
I don't know if it was intentional or not, but I really see the accuracy in portraying a dysfunctional family dynamic with how Megaera and Thanatos see it
Hades is, well, their boss. They do what he orders them to. Megaera is antagonistic toward Zagreus for a multitude of reasons and I understand why.
But in the case of Thanatos, while it frustrates me, is where it really shines
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/423540667726168064/1111275427340763136/Screenshot_2023-05-25_145120.png run 200-ish and there are still interesting convos to be had 👀
(He asks Patroclus about the close relationship between Theseus and Asterius)
Now, I have personal experience in not having the best relationship with my dad. Unfortunately, without immortality or a vast support system like Zagreus has, I'm not counting on the fact that our relationship will improve anytime soon
I can say that from very late game, Hades occasionally does give Zag praise and voices his respect and even support
But it makes me curious how much the other characters know about the extent of Zagreus's frustrations, resentment and bitterness towards Hades
feel ya
oh! I have to show you something a fan made
on the very topic
(not me tho). I shared it before in another channel
Thanatos still helps, but is ultimately hurt by how we never said goodbye
which is very valid imo
Happy birthday Hades. Patricide simulator.
Twitter: https://twitter.com/azi_strdy?t=Z70LlKqqwRp2VIyxmis65w&s=09
Ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/azi_strdy
This conversation between Persephone and Zag
worth noting that both Thanatos and Megaera are older than Zagreus and as a result they have more nuanced and profound understanding of relationships of various kinds
"Do you hate him?"
"He made me try"
Zag feels like a guy fresh out of school trying to handle adulthood, while Than and Meg are like...in their 30s or sth
i mean their behavior compares to humans in their 30s
Yup, I see that
It is very valid, and I headcanon that it comes from some discontentment towards himself and how Zagreus and Hades's relationship is out of his control? Idk I wish I had the words
or also like generational trauma. See what kind of relationship Hades (and his brothers) had for a relationship with their dad father
hades 2 might shine some more light on that
yeah!
Sometimes I think he doesn't know how to be a better parent because he was never shown how to
(at least in the beginning, because he does learn but yeah)
But I still think about it
How much do the other house servants know?
Dusa knows that Nyx and Hades are to be feared (as they should)
Hypnos just thought that Zagreus was mad about getting fired
Thanatos and Megaera... Oh
know what?
About how deep it goes
still cryptic
i meant that i still don't understand what you're alluding to
Zagreus was reckless, sure, I will say that. He risked Persephone's safety, there's no denying that. But wanting to escape from an environment that has taken its toll on you, I
I kinda relate to that, like, a lot
And I knew that there would be some degree of opposition, but some of the dialogue, it's so perfectly executed in a way that makes me frustrated
Primarily the "You don't know how good you've had it" line
I saw both sides eventually, but jeez
Yeah all of these parallels are intentional, it's ultimately a coming of age tale that also happens to be about immortal gods.
I enjoy the quality moments in the game, and some of the conversations touched me, but ultimately I think the story was a bit cliched, and I hope part two takes more risks with the overall story. Zag is likable but he couldn't be more generic and predictable. He's basically every anime protagonist
not an opinion I agree with, but I admire what you said!
(genuinely, I don't want that to sound facetious.)
its probably an unfair assessment, me being older and sympathizing more with the "older" gods in the house (and even Hades to an extent)
I get that, the story has made it clear that his job isn't easy
well I think it's that inner turmoil to "do more" that there's more out there, which sometimes causes us to ignore the responsibilities we already have at home. That might not be as glamorous or exciting, but are still just as important
just so happens what he has calling him out there IS genuinely important, (his mother) lucky for him
oh i getcha now
Do you guys start a new save file just to rewatch the story and those awesome vocie acting?
yeah i did that and i dont regret it
Sometimes I bought something from the Contractor on impulse before noticing that Hades was not in the House, which means I missed out some of his sarcastic comments.
you can quit a restart, game is only saved once you exit/enter room so you could cancel the purchase that way
but the comments are usually generic, only some items have a specific comment
I did start a new save recently where I lose a ton on purpose to prolong the main story, on my main playthrough I had like 150 runs but had seen credits around 40 runs in, now I'm 60+ runs in and haven't seen the credits yet and I'm definetly seeing conversations I never saw before
I can't imagine what the faces of the VA's looked like when they were given their scripts.
I learned more new English vocabulary from this game more than from all other roguelike games I've ever played combined lol.
I tried to play the translated version, but unfortunately too much nuance is lost through translation.
Quick question: After ||Z's mom went back to House||, what's the reason of death of Z everytime he ||defeats Hades||? I thought it's because he ||naturally cannot stay long on surface||. But sometimes the narrator says he ||dies from falling off a cliff|| or something lol.
We had those funny lines before mom even existed in the game, I guess they just kept them for the funny, after all, he cannot stay up there for long anyway
Falling off a cliff still counts as natural causes technically lol
Well yes if he yeets himself off a cliff before his normal death
That dangerous pollen
Snakes are our friends! Butterflies are the evil ones!
Oh, hey there little surface friend...
I wanna come back to this (positively), how did Zag first strike you as a cliche protagonist
