Wasn't just you two anyway, there's been frequent critique of pacts and stuff in #h1-victory-boasting lately... that can be very off-putting for players who just want to share their achievements or fun runs without having their build and pact and everything picked apart. And that it puts them off isn't something you'd necessarily see very easily since it can discourage them from posting there in the first place.
Plus the channel isn't really for discussions like that anyway.
What I'd suggest instead is first, @mentioning the person either here or in #h1-builds-and-combat, channels that are for discussion; and second, asking something like "I have some suggestions for the pact from your most recent post in #h1-victory-boasting, do you want to hear it?" to make sure they're open to feedback.
If you yourself are looking for feedback on your victory screens, might be good to add something like "if you have any feedback for my build/pact this run, please let me know" when you post a victory screen.

i watched a streamer get her first 32 heat run on her first try last night and she had some terrible pact choices imo . approval process 2 .. heightened security for example
she made it work tho!

well I guess for me the problem is that there are certain what I'd say are objective truths
such as AP2 is horrific at 32 heat and succeeding with it on means that your skill level is either way above 32 heat or you got lucky
and since 32 heat is such a huge goal for a lot of players, people watching that streamer are likely to accept AP2 as objectively good and then get absolutely shafted when they don't get crazy luck
so there's a balancing act of not acting like everything except the absolute mathematical best is bad while also trying to prevent bad information from reducing enjoyment for others
case in point I got somewhat screwed over and frustrated early on when the subreddit proclaimed activating PS to be basically the goal of any run
and that held me back for a while before I learned about the superiority of FF

If you want to practice clearing rooms efficiently then you can just practice that, it doesn’t have to be in a speedrunning context really
High heaters should be good at clearing rooms
It’s definitely not as fast as speedrunners go, and at high heat you don’t always have the build to do that and sometimes the enemies will just be harder

There's some things I could do on KBM that aren't really a thing on pad, like dashing away from an enemy and throwing your dash-spin at them at the same time. But I don't feel like practicing KBM just for that when I could be working on other things when I play Hades.
Plus my fingers hurt after awhile when playing on KBM.
