tbh there's not much else to it as far as i know, just shoot, reload, dash, repeat
there's no real "combo" with hestia to begin with, all there is is just reloading and shooting
just make sure that the reload button is easy to hit, rebind if you have to

when instead it'd be better to just deal consistent big damage

aphrodite with artemis have carried few of my runs with heart rend duo. aphrodite call is also generally nice. you can rarely go wrong with her imo, can easily fit in a lot of builds. high percentage attack/special boost, seems to work well with slower weapons in general.

the problem with some of these strategies is that you are using stugian soul which basically requires specific casts. if rng lets you get one that lodges , stygian soul is wasted. thats one part of the mirror i dont like, cause it doesnt really really support pure rng runs. roguelikes are supposed to be rng in their heart.

sure but you are doing the same thing, forcing runs to be specific builds. you dont know when you will get the flare or not. thats the gist of a roguelike. you adapt to what is offered. the god keepsakes make the same thing ruining this. but thankfully all of that is optional. but you get my point.

There is a ton of rng in runs and keepsakes don't ruin that, they're used to get strong combos consistently to win, if you refrain from using keepsakes at all chances are you eventually have no clue where your damage is coming from and you're just winging it with whatever at that point, it takes a lot of experience to understand how builds and damage work

you can also listen for the sound instead of looking at the screen
also erebus is tougher the more you advance, so in tartarus its pretty easy but in elysium it wouldnt be worth taking especially with how much heat you need active to be able to enter

Last time i got Mirage Shot in Tartarus as well, but i failed the run

The general strat for speedrunning Rama is starting with Zeus Special, it helps you deal with small enemies especially when grouped up, and Rama boonless attack is good enough for most of Tartarus especially with a good hammer, you're looking for Twin Shot or Triple Shot ideally as your first hammer, if none are offered you want Perfect Shot or Point-Blank Shot, you also want to start shaping up your god pool and getting some scaling, a non Common Aphro attack is very good and consistent damage output, always a good pick, Artemis is a good one too but personally if I see an Artemis I would try to get her Dash first as there arent a lot of good dashes specifically for Rama, Artemis is the best in slot here, if you see more Zeus you can go for Jolted/Double strike, Hermes for +Dashes or hyper delivery, Chaos can add some massive scaling to your attack/dash strike, which is quite good for bossing, another amazing combo you should try to look for and even force is Poseidon's Cast + Breaking Wave, known as the Styx shredder, Rama has a relatively slow charging attack and the Special isnt strong enough to one shot beefy styx enemies so you go for that combo, Breaking Wave creates a lot of wall slams due to the small styx rooms and makes enemies melt so you're pretty much entering the room, casting 3 or more times and everything vanishes without you having to use your attack or special
Rama is not straight forward to speedrun, it has some decent bossing but it's not too intuitive when it comes to clearing rooms quickly and efficiently so I recommend you watch some vods
Also worth using FO1 at first to get a feel for the timing and to not get hit as much since that's very punishing on Rama
And if it's not clear, always prioritize your second hammer, it's an important breakpoint for Rama, Perfect Point Blank are what you're looking for assuming you for Triple or Twin on the first, Twin Perfect is ideal and Triple Point Blank is ideal but either way it works because powershotting is what you should be doing when you have a good opening on a boss
With Triple you're more likely to be in range to make use of the shotgunning but you're also in a riskier spot so you let go of the attack more often without it being a powershot, which in would benefit from pointblank but not from perfect, and with Twin you're usually safe and comfy and have a bit of range so you cant always make use of Point blank unless you're actively aware of it

Common Aphrodite attack is okay, it's just that the difference in rarity is big on it, like a lv5 common is equal to a lv1 epic, if you see a random Aphro in the pool just take her but dont expect a ton imo, roll once if you feel like it but the reason I take her a lot of the time is to put her in the pool so she gets offered often and you pray that you see her from a miniboss and have your cores filled so you get a Rare+ attack without rolling
And if things dont work out just Shackle

And if you get more Artemis after you pick up Dash and your attack slot is still open just take it
