special only rama is unaruably the only way to make this trash weapon useable. and even then its only somewhat useable since it only has access to one special hammer. its basicially nothing compared to the superiority of chiron. the attack charges up way too slowly to be useable and shared suffering is a gimmick at best, it adds nothing to help pulling this aspect out of mediocrity. if youre lucky enough and get repluse shot you might - and I say MIGHT get the chance to actually get an attack off with this thing, and even then its simply not worth it. the attack speed is way too slow and the damage completly pales in comparison to actually fast hitting aspects like gilgamesh. its sad to say but supergiantgames design philosophy of making most hidden aspects basicially a slow and unusable version of their base weapon has backfired completly. first beowulf - now this. hidden aspects are supposed to be strong and rewarding for the sheer grind I had to go through to unlock them. I dont even know if I want to unlock hidden rail at this point

That's because it's actually random, so things like that can happen. Ironically actual randomness doesn't feel random when things like that happen, so very often for things like that you'll see pseudo-randomness where variety is forced.

If a die is random, you'll eventually get a series of 10+ 6 rolls in a row given enough tries, for example. Pseudo-randomness would prevent that and force variety.

The one thing Hades does for Dark Thirst, as far as I know, is that if you take the weapon that has Dark Thirst, it won't get Dark Thirst the next run.

So what happened was I did the whole run and was just outside the door to fight the old man, I downsized the game cause I was also doing something in discord on the side and was gonna wait til I wasnt distracted

open the game again and the game crashes thats fine

open it up and it kicked me back to Skelly's room

I actually find it more hillarious than anything, I'm not expecting anyone to just 'give me back my progress' as thats impossible

I just figured it be worth noting the game seemed to crash when downsized for awhile. I had already ||Fed cerberus and done all the rooms in that area too||. It just seems weird it kick me out of the run entirely when I reload the save

• Shadow and Fiery presence are both good for different weapons
• I prefer chthonic but it doesn’t really matter at all
• Death defiance is much better at low heat, but once you get to 32+ heat I suggest using lasting consequences 4 (pact condition: no healing for 4 heat. Seems more brutal than it is) in combination with Stubborn Defiance.
• Greater Reflex is better for everything except maybe some shields and definitely Gilgamesh (hidden fists)
• Boiling blood is better unless ~80%+ of your damage comes from a lodging cast (such as Hera or Poseidon aspect builds), in that case you might want Abyssal but Boiling is still always safe and good
• Infernal soul is generally better but Stygian absolutely has it’s uses. Knowing when to use it comes with experience, so if you’re not sure then just use infernal.
• Deep pockets is always correct unless you’re doing some weird gold farming run
• Thick skin is better, except High Confidence is great for speedruns (not high heat though)
• Family Favorite should be your default, but some builds are better with PStatus. A lot of less experienced players really overrate PStatus and end up taking bad statuses just to fulfill it. Just get your ~25% from FF and don’t worry about getting 2 statuses unless your build is planning on doing that anyway
• Dark Foresight is 100% of the time the best option, and also the second or third best thing on the mirror. Don’t ever underrate how truly insane DF actually is
• God’s Pride is standard but keep in mind that Legacy will pretty much double the odds of a duo or legendary showing up (you still need the prerequisites though) so if your build is looking for more than one, or needs one to function, then consider God’s Legacy.
• Fated Persuasion is basically always better than Authority

special only rama is unaruably the only way to make this trash weapon useable. and even then its only somewhat useable since it only has access to one special hammer. its basicially nothing compared to the superiority of chiron. the attack charges up way too slowly to be useable and shared suffering is a gimmick at best, it adds nothing to help pulling this aspect out of mediocrity. if youre lucky enough and get repluse shot you might - and I say MIGHT get the chance to actually get an attack off with this thing, and even then its simply not worth it. the attack speed is way too slow and the damage completly pales in comparison to actually fast hitting aspects like gilgamesh. its sad to say but supergiantgames design philosophy of making most hidden aspects basicially a slow and unusable version of their base weapon has backfired completly. first beowulf - now this. hidden aspects are supposed to be strong and rewarding for the sheer grind I had to go through to unlock them. I dont even know if I want to unlock hidden rail at this point

How do I complete the Place of Revelry prophecy? It says I need to renovate the lounge and I took a look at the Hades wikia which says that you need to do 10 lounge renovations plus clean up Cerberus fur and damage

I've done all of that but the prophecy still hasn't been fulfilled

Are you sure that you cleaned up everything? I would maybe try to look through everything, then try to buy more stuff for the lounge, and then see again. Maybe look up if you need a specific interaction with Dusa for the quest to check off. If none of that works then Tech Support probably.

I found that going by the sound clue is helpful

There can only be three fake bobs, so the fourth bob is always real if the first three were fake. And from what I can tell, fake bobs have an interval of 2-5 seconds while the real bob has an interval of 1-2 seconds. So if it takes more than 2 seconds, it should be a fake bob. Meaning you should look for the real bob within a short time after you start fishing or within a short time after a previous fake bob.

Personally I just look for the white flash above the bobber and ignore the bobber. Some players have said they have better success when putting their thumb on the bobber to not get distracted by that, so maybe you could give that a try.

Today, while tripping balls, I had the Achilles run of my life. Got zeus call and merciful end with Athena dash in freaking TARTARUS. Began the run with a Serrated Point hammer. Tell me why I STOPPED TO FISH. TWICE. And one of them was in Styx, WHERE I DIDN’T CATCH THE FISH. And I went on to come ONE SECOND short of my all time record.

And tbh other than the hades fight the game doesn't get changed that much by EM4

Hydra gets a whole lot harder, heroes can mess you up more, but the rest is identical to no heat
