There are so many specific responses to you player state; low health, high health, previous run success/failure, current favourite weapon etc.

Had a broken ass run with the Aspect of Chiron (level 1),triple shot, flurry shot, and abyssal favor. But these next boons are what made this run so ridiculously broken:Blade Dash (Rare, level 4) Greatest Reflex (Epic), Slicing Shot, Vicious Cycle, Black Metal, engulfing vortex, Artemis aid (rare), Support Fire(epic),thunder flourish, double strike, and abyssal grasp. Only reason I didn’t get hunting blades was because I had to choose between it and VC when it finally showed up.

If I had Ares Aid and Hunting Blades, this run would’ve just been “Blade Rifts: the build” Shame I didn’t get em, but we won so that’s what matters.

It'll depend on the boon. Boons have 4 different values they can start at with different rarities (common, rare, epic, heroic), and that is totally independent of level. So using a pom on a heroic boon will yield the same +x on the values as if you used it on a common

E.g. on most casts and calls, poms scale way harder than rarity

The opposite is true for boons that can't be pommed, like extra dashes (which scale probably the hardest off rarity of most boons)

Achilles Aspect most certainly is really really good. It's only at very very high heats where it starts to fall off a lot relative to other top tier aspects.

Achilles and Guan Yu don't really rely on specific hammers except when you're going for speedrun records of course.

Whereas Achilles can do Cast builds very reliably, so the hammers honestly don't matter too much.

And then what's imo the worst hammer in the game for high level sword play: Flurry Slash. To me it's a fun and decent hammer for casual play, but the drawbacks once you really need i-frames from your Dash are just too big, it's actively harmful.

Dash Nova is actually pretty good when you have experience with it. It's no Double Edge or Piercing Wave, but you can make it work.

The hammer not doing anything doesn't make it actively harmful, no. Flurry Slash actively hurts your run when you take it.

The effect actively makes your weapon worse.

Lol yeah. Dio call is 2400 damage for 4 charges, but you get to pick when they happen, they partially charge the next lesser call, and it's enormous AoE.

And that's only level 1 common

(15 base * 2 ticks/sec * 4 seconds * 5 stacks)

Zeus at base is not quite as impressive, but easily links to Smoldering Air and benefits from Zeus tier 2s.

The raw damage is similar but you have to stay slightly closer than Dio, and you can't leave until it's done without wasting damage.
