The normal Attack combo is generally not very good. You won't see any top sword players use it at all.

But it's not easy to gauge what's easy for new players.
As a general advice, maybe try to prioritize Centaur Hearts a bit more to have more HP going into the fight.
And take the Evergreen Acorn into Elysium.

I encountered something yesterday but am not sure where to post about it, so I'm trying here and maybe someone can help.
I was running hidden shield with Stygian Soul, and I had not found any more stones. I had Sudden Rush from Tartarus. In Elysium, I picked up a Chaos curse that gave -40something move speed and the last encounter room turned out to be a fountain so I took it into the Champions.
The fountain room was also a Hammer, where I picked up Charged Shot - but note that I had not yet used this combo in a "real" encounter till the Champions.
I loaded and fired in the fight, but then my stone never regenerated, though I think the regen swirl was present. I unfortunately don't have a screenshot from the fight itself, but I can include the Log screen.

Well, it's just faster. Backstabs don't do anything for you on Eris.
Your Special can't backstab, and your Attack base damage is irrelevant, so those backstabs don't matter.
You'll get so many more keys than you'll have any idea what to do with, always a good idea to reset the mirror when you want to change something.

So that should factor into your decision.
