I found the bow the best at first, since it let me attack and observe enemy movements from a safe distance, but I now find it slow compared to the others. That said, the only time I beat Thanatos by over 25 and got the achievement was when I beat him 41-0 with the bow, thanks to the upgrade that made ||each arrow hit three enemies||.

I think my favourite is blowing stuff up with reckless abandon with the Rail.

pausing and quitting will load at the last autosaved zone (which is basically when you enter a chamber), but control/command q-ing will destroy the run

I feel like every time I have seen a boon room up next, and then taken Erebus - none of my 3 options out of Erebus are boons. I can't prove that but I feel like its true.

since they take much much less time to clear obviously, and count as a room

same goes for mid shops and story rooms too btw

you can see a chaos gate in the third last room though

the room before a boss fight will always be a shop or a normal room reward without enemies

But you're probably getting better at the game too. Every run you learn enemy patterns a little bit more. Don't discount your own experience.

Upgrading Zag rail doesn't even improve damage. It's just quality of life so you don't have to reload so much.
