This will be really helpful, I usually always go for boons unless hammer or if there's a shop where I'm hoping to find a certain god.

I dont know which you have seen, but now that i have seen all, i find at least 2 on every weapon i enjoy. Some can change up your playstyle a lot and make some boons viable i usually avoid.

Aspects tend to change which movesets you'll want to specialize in.
There are cast aspects (i. e. Achilles), special aspects (i. e. Aspect of Nemesis), and they all tend to change the way you play with those movesets.

For example|| poseidon|| aspect makes the sword more cast based. You special dislodges casts now, you get a bonus for cast attack and some boons like artemis damage for disloged cast make suddenly a good combo.

I also found some aspects a bit boring at first, but for me it changed a lot, when i upgraded and used them more.

Generally true. Though Hades gives you a lot of power over the RNG in the game, much more so than in other Roguelites. So you can get a lot of consistency in term of optimization.
Hence we have builds and keepsake sequence and stuff like that.

Arguing about the RNG is a bit silly. But @manic bobcat is right when they say Supergiant gives you a lot of choice and sway over what happens. You get to force a specific god encounter and while you can't control your entire build with that, on top of being able to choose which rooms to go into and affecting how frequently you find boons you are given a lot of control.
No, you can't get every single boon you want every time, but you can definitely sway it a lot.
