There are some parts of the game that differ from other roguelikes and it's pretty frustrating.
- not being able to quit and retain resources during a bad/farming run. Like I'm going to go through the work to kill Zag to keep my gems, why not just make it a feature?
- Quitting in certain rooms is an automatic give up? I quit in Temple of Styx using cmd+Q and it auto gave up for me. Cool.
- No rerolling on quit? yeah I'm a cheater, but making the game frustrating and giving up automatically to disable re-rolling is just a bad experience. Like give me an asterisk on my run or something, I just want to have fun jeez

Guys. I have a weird issue. Bought Hades from Steam. Played for 3 hours yesterday, using my Xbox controller. Zero issues. About 30 minutes ago, opened Steam again to play. When I tried to launch, it asked me to wait for an update. It was a "Steamworks Common Redistributables" update. It got installed. After that, I am opening Hades again, and it just won't launch. I tried even going to the directory where it's installed and tried running the exe as Admin from there
Anyone else faced this issue?

I've not had that: I've had a different thing, which went away with the most recent patch, where Steam would sometimes insist that Hades was running, but it wouldn't actually launch.
(But that was fixable by just "stopping" Hades and re-starting it.)

I had a heroic special for over +200% dmg and when I used the debuff for the extra +150% it only went up by about 10 damage when the base was already around 100. As a PC player I have an issue with consoles to begin with - the camera controls... MH was great because I could leave my cam angled one way and use ZL/ZR to move left/right on a custom joycon pair. Worked wonders for every single game (except World I play on PC).

@brisk trail always special first, even when there's just one enemy. don't commit to attacks, and you don't have to full charge. Literally 1 hammer and one decent boon gets you into like 500 damage at the least per hit

It lasts for a couple seconds, and even works on the enemy that you're hitting, so it's a free 60% damage bonus on your attack which is super nice||

@rotund canopy there's a house contractor upgrade that does what you're describing (nectar gives a pom of power). Are you sure you didn't buy that ?
