The other thing to note about the God keepsakes is that once you have boons for a god, they will show up more often....so equipping for Tarturus is a nice way to setup if you enjoy certain pairings (I will sometimes use Aphrodite with the Posidon Blade because I really like her cast)

@sturdy willow Slay the Spire is a little different because its also a deck builder, and they limit what you can do in a turn.....and you are choosing smartly in this, if try a run with the limited choices pact option cranked up and see how that feels....the more you limit the randomness, the more you have to "balance" or the game becomes a stale mess.......its okay to have some OP "Builds" because you can't guarantee them, as soon as you start to be able to choose more than one god that will appear, you really throw a huge wrench into things.

it says "bonus shields thrown: 5" if leveled to the max

shouldnt i be throwing 6 shields then?

Ares' call feels like a dps loss usually, since I don't load up on his other boons

like Art call can over half health any boss at a few levels. Pos and Ares and Ath u are invulnerable and Aphro charm is busted

Athena call is X second of deflect and invulnerability, Greater call multiplies time by 6

in bigger rooms, Ares Trial battle isn't so bad

Ares displeasure is even worse with the Nemesis sword! No invincible bull rush, and no ranged attacks!

I'm not sure if they fixed it, but in the last patch, if you had the slow projectile duo boon, the Ares death circles seemed like they lasted forever

Like if they were 50% slower, they had to stay out twice as long to make up for it

Athena displeasure is the worst in Elysium cause she can cause the spirits to become invuln and they will rez

Trial of the gods in Elysium is usually an auto-game-loss on 7:00 deadline, because of the inflated HP values of the monsters

and it feelsbad to have to reroll out of a trial of the gods too

@raven pulsar just so you know, for chaos shield one of the 'bonus' shields is superimposed over the regular shield that you throw. It looks like you're only throwing 5 but you're actually throwing 6

Idk, I usually find there's at least one that's kinda useful

If they're mostly unhelpful, theres often one that gives extra darkness or gold, which isnt as directly helpful asd a damage/hp buff, but is still good
