I had the poseidon legendary and tempest flourish. So my sword special started knocking enemies back a second time. And said enemies would leave a blue trail, kind of like puddles.

Controller is fine! Hades has all the same controller support as Pyre did, if you played that. Most standard controllers should work just fine, and controller is even recommended by the game.
