I mean, we know you can't kill the hydra by chopping off its heads (I always wondered why no one ever just stabbed it instead of chopping the heads off and letting it grow more)

I'm starting to seriously resent the fact your weapon becomes invisible if you spend a certain amount of time just running or dash,
I can't think much reason for it since there is a running animation with the weapon as well, except maybe to make the dash animation a little easier to read but I don't think that should be a priority
All it does is mess with my head when I'm using the shield or spear special and dashing around, waiting for it to come back, only to realise it already had, I just couldn't see it
I also wish the game was a little clearer about how far away an enemy has to be to count as a "distant foe" when using the Distant Memory, Disyphus' keepsake

The spear thing isn't just the extra length attack (though that also counts) it's the Javel Throw upgrade which makes your special deal more damage the farther it goes. I prefer playing without most heat mods. I will take things like extra damage but Tenebrous Veil is kind of unfun in my opinion when I am just trying to clown around with different builds. So I will definitely be disabling at least that for the update, for the new God.
I basically only leave on reduced healing and extra enemy damage, to avoid being an exercise in tedium.

Once I got to 35 heat, the game just stopped being fun for me. A run took like 30 minutes to complete, because every chamber was a slog with tons of super bulky enemies and usually I had relatively little damage output.
If I didn't start off with an Epic attack boon, I was basically guaranteed a bad time

I think they said in the last Q&A that they wanted to refine the current scale of the experience before expanding it at all. Idk if that means that we'll have all of the keepsakes and weapons before we can progress beyond the Hydra, but I reckon at least a lot of that will be done first.

Why do so many people honestly think the next God is gonna be another of the primordial Gods, like Gaia, or one of the titans, e.g. Helios?
Guys, don't you think the 12 Olympians are enough?
Don't get me wrong, it would be awesome to see SGG's interpretation of Gaia, Atlas, Prometheus or whatever
But it was hard enough for me to come up with an IDEA for the remaining Olympians' boons, let alone ensure they're all mechanically balanced, integrated and fleshed out as characters
Adding another 12 would just be mental!
And replacing one of the remaining Gods with their Titan equivalent would just be faintly weird and kinda sad for people who was looking forward to seeing the one who was replaced
I also can't help but scoff at the idea of Hephaestus' boons acting like the Daedalus hammer
Reason 1: the Daedalus hammer already exists!, there's no point in replacing it mid way through development when there's nothing wrong with it and having two things that do functionally the exact same thing is just redundant
Reason 2: It would just be really weird to have one of the Gods follow a completely different set of rules from the others, for not really any reason,
You could even argue it's bad design: teaching your players to expect a certain thing to act in a certain way then suddenly change it around for no outwardly obvious reason,

I can't agree unless you elaborate, to release game in early access means to get all mechanics working good enough, instead of letting every team member with at their maximum speed. It sounds like plenty of small bottlenecks in production

if something isn't ready for us to see, they just don't show it to us; i don't think they're killing themselves trying to get things that are too rough for the upcoming major update ready
