Is there a way to have more encounters during a run? I'm trying to max out my keepsakes but some runs are only turning out 34 encounters for me.

Bosses are in chambers 14 > 24 > 36.
1-12 (12), 17-22(6), 27-34(8), so that’s 26 encounters before Styx if you skip everything

then if you use all the styx chambers they’re like 4 minirooms +1 long room per tunnel minus the sack so 4x5+4 should give you another 24 encounters I believe

If you get an erebus gate immediately before the endshop for each region you could extend the run by 1 chamber/encounter per but that’s just purely up to chance

Which weapons would you say stresses the most "fundamental" Hades 1 skillset, assuming higher Heats?

Just curious, since I'm normally drawn to stuff in games with extraneous and overcomplicated mechanical nonsense that's often self-contained

define "fundamental" and "high heat". every weapon has its own set of optimizations, strategies and builds. Also, every weapon is split into 4 "aspects", some of which change the optimal playstyle drastically.

not every aspect is for everyone, and it's often best to just stick for the first while with the things you enjoy playing (this isn't to say every aspect is created equal, there is an objective meta, but everything is perfectly playable assuming sufficient skill until around 40/45)

if you're interested in games that have a lot of depth, hades the videogame overall does have a bunch of that, oftentimes through programming oversights and edge-cases.

Ngl the effectiveness of chiron is so much higher at higher levels because 8 arrows actually lets you feasibly build +% special, or get 8 stacks of hangover off on a weakened target

but even then it will just be slower than regular bow gameplay

bosses drop 50/100/150/250 so main gameplan is usually starting with tidal dash or some other pos core (every weapon can use tidal dash for speed tbf) and nabbing Oceans Bounty from him for extra darkness, take every chaos gate you can for eclipse boons to boost darkness +% even more, and in general just make a very fast build after that point

which, depending on your aspect of choice, should be pretty simple from tidal dash start

Nyaanyaa's Fishing Guide
There can only be three fake bobs, so the fourth bob is always real if the first three were fake. Fake bobs have an interval of 2-5 seconds while the real bob has an interval of 1-2 seconds. So if it takes more than 2 seconds, it should be a fake bob. Meaning you should look for the real bob within a short time after you start fishing or within a short time after a previous bob.

Personally, I just look for the white flash above the bobber and ignore the bobber itself. Some players have said they have better success when putting their thumb on the bobber to not get distracted by that, so maybe you could give that a try.

A Perfect Catch means catching a fish within 340ms. Perfect Catches are 50/50 on being a legendary or rare fish. Any other catch is 50/50 on being a rare or common fish

A funny thing of perfect catches being a 50/50 between rare and legendary fish is that a perfect catch on the surface guarantees a titan blood

Cuz you either get the ambrosia fish (trade for 1 blood) or the blood fish

Stubborn is basically for:
New players who are struggling a lot in rooms so stubborn makes more sense.
Or
High heat players (32+ heat) where we turn on lasting consequences at max (so no healing) and use stubborn as heal

Heat generally makes rooms a lot more unpredictable so is better to have it every room

And you are constantly going "oh I ended the room at like 15% hp? Just proc a trap to go to 30%"

dont be afraid to make bigger jumps in heat, i went from 7-16 heat a while ago and then from 3-12 heat on bow today, some of the jumps might seem hard and maybe take a few attempts, but with some of the conditions, they really dont do as much as you think, I would say take a bit of time just going up by 1 heat like i did and then make bigger jumps when youre more comfortable

you cant make exact comparisons as they have totally different skill sets but yeah thats the common comparison point

i also think its kinda misleading bc some 50 heat aspects are really easy while others are strictly more difficult to do

I think that mechanically it's closer to 45, but the difference in dash-count and enemy-speed makes it different and thus difficult for players who rely on dash 2 or a particular weapon to avoid stuff, means one needs to re-learn the game from close to the ground up.

risky, the pots are generally too far apart

and even when they're not, that requires you to be precisely positioned

so yeah it's usually recommended to clear 1 pot individually, then have dad take care of the rest with his spins or a cast while using the safe zone free of pots to avoid whatever he sends at you
