I suspect that the condition is to hold at least 1000 darkness with you, but this is probably wrong. You can just use Poseidon's legendary to bypass the conditions

Mainly charged shot
But pulverizing blow is also solid
Slap Aphrodite attack on them with those hammers and you're good
For Zeus, use Zeus special and get static discharge
You don't need a good hammer for it to be good

forcing just means the next boon you find will be from that god, there is a little 1 under the keepsake on the left side, when you pick up that boon, the keepsake can no longer force and you'll no longer see the 1. You're basically guaranteeing that you get a boon from a specific god. It has no connection with room clearing speed or anything. Just how the rewards are rolled on doors, sometimes it's late, sometimes it's early.
And no, clearing the room quickly has no effect on the reward you get/get in future rooms.
If you happen to have his keepsake equipped then you get a stat buff, that's it
Hermes is different from other gods, you can get a max of 3 boons from him in a run, and the last one is random, so 2 is generally what you're getting. They can be pretty impactful on the run outcome so his keepsake doesnt force a boon from him like the other keepsakes do.

It's alright on faster attacks like fists attack. Generally you pair it with Merciful End. The stackable thing, im assuming is dire misfortune, it's not amazing dps.

If it's base Spear you can use the Special if you get Explosive Launcher as your first hammer, otherwise dont bother and focus on the attack. You're looking for Exploding Launcher or Flurry Jab as first hammer, those dictate what you'll want to focus on generally.

Not required but will help a lot. If I want to build Special and I get Flurry Jab I ditch the Special. If you get nothing you can gamble with Charged Skewer (gambling on second hammer being Exploding Launcher, otherwise useless) or you can just get Serrated and go the risky route. Can also get Serrated + Flurry and buy an anvil in styx because it cant run your hammers anymore
The rest of the hammers are not that impactful / actively hurt you by blocking good hammers

and slicing shot is just not worth it on its own being able to lodge casts into enemies for the debuff is much better

Does anyone have any idea if/how they choose enemy attack density/timing?
I'm designing a game myself and I'm exploring how to make it fun to have a bunch of enemies all trying to kill you at the same time.
The most naive implementation has you getting stun butt blasted to death so it will need a solution. I've also heard "stagger armor" or something like that is a design used so even if you're getting blasted, you aren't stunned repeatedly.
All these things depend on the game of course.

Depends on the enemy afaik. most enemies choose their attacks at random, but some (usually bosses) will only perform certain actions at specific distances to the player.
For example, Theseus will only spin at you if you are were close at the moment he chose his next attack.

The sneak tartarus miniboss does the same first few movements, which by the way makes for the possibility of a 0-cycle meg strategy.

if an enemy is near/against a wall and you shoot a loaded cast into them at a certain angle, you can get your cast back immediately
you can abuse this, especially in the dad fight since you have high burst damage and you can bait him near walls

wall bugging lets you cycle more damage more often, but that health bar getting chunked down is mostly from all the other stuff

i'm pretty bad at hera and i can't consistently do that, it's something you have to practice a lot with

the button mapping is nicer and less confusing imo
because you have 2 weapons and 2 skills, and you'd have to like
use extra mouse buttons and/or q and e
and also a healing button
it's totally doable tho but it can be a bit much for the hand imo
and could just straight up be confusing
there's probably some god kbm players tho
it's a 2d platformer roguelite so like the joystick movement isn't an advantage necessarily, i just find controller better for button mapping lmao

i mean it's totally doable, i was able to clear once with kbm
idk about how doable it is with like higher difficulty runs tho
it's just that controller is a lot easier on the hands and brain imo, but frankly most people say that about controller on hades too and it's not easier on the hands for me lmao
if you have a controller it's worth giving it a shot to compare to kbm, but i wouldn't go out of the way to buy a controller for dead cells
