The way I look at things like the mirror etc. was always if I am still winning, I don't need more of it. And if I am not winning, I can get the resources naturally while trying to beat whatever I was trying to do.

Jury Summons can sometimes give a little bit more obols. Pretty sure there's an obol cap per encounter. And those obols definitely don't make up for the increased difficulty.
EM2 FO2 is the go-to for IGT speedruns.
FO2 makes enemies spawn faster and also just makes them run to you faster + they attack more frequently so they take damage from Jolted more frequently, which is pretty common in a lot of speedrun builds.
For RTA speedruns, you'd add any level of TD to disable survival rooms in Tartarus.
They stop the timer, which is good for IGT; but they take forever, which is bad for RTA.
That's pretty much it for beneficial ones in any context.

I'd say the majority of high heat players don't have both a hell mode and a normal mode save. And most don't use the modpack to toggle Hell mode on/off either. Vets and more hardcore high heat players probably have saves for both or the modpack.

Because the go-to route when you start Doom is Merciful End.
And you'd need to go out of your way to pick up Blinding Flash to get a second curse.

For the boonless category on the high heat leaderboard, the rule is that you may not benefit from any boon in your run. So... picking up boons per se is fine. But if you get a Cast boon for example, you're not allowed to use your Cast in the run (until you purge the boon at least). You're not required to purge boons but it usually makes your life easier to do so, and also to avoid boons.
For the 100% Olympian-Free run clear message (and the unique dialogue with Hades), the requirement is that you may not have any purgeable boons by the end of the run. So... you're perfectly free to use boons during the run so long as you purge any of the boons that can be purged. Master Chaos's boons for example all can't be purged, so you can have literally 5 of them and you will still qualify for the run clear message. Also "consumable" boons like Nourished Soul are fine because they can't be purged.

i heard it right after i killed hades or defeated him i was confused where it came from

I think zagreus just gets up there and goes into a dark and bewildered state at how unprepared he is in just about every sense for literally anything on the surface
honestly though, and I hate to say it, but it's probably just boon withdrawal getting him or making him act unpredictably enough that it doesn't have to bother
sure sometimes zag makes it up to the surface without the favor of olympus and you know his time still eventually comes, but like 9/10 at least zagreus is coming right out of the underworld into a region that literally kills him by default where he has no training, no real education, no idea how anything on the surface world works (the codex only covered trout, bass, and sturgeons rip), and he's pika-outa his mind hopped up on boons
