So, unrelated, but I was watching A Conversation With Matt Mercer and Phillip DeFranco, and when Phil asked Matt if he wanted to make a Critical Role Video Game he was like, "Yes, but what publisher is good to their devs," And I immediately start imagining what the SGG team would make with the world of Exandria, and... Oh man, That's a partnership, that I think would be incredible. And also, I wanna see Logan, Darren and Amir playing with the Cast of CR, because I feel like they would just have so much fun.

most people don't want a game from some youtubers they don't care about. while they're waiting for hades 2 or whatever comes out of sgg then they get some beat em up or first person shooter featuring critical role people who they don't know or care about they will probably forget about the company by the time they have an original game that according to patterns takes about 3 years. so 6 years after hades we have a new original game. hades brought in a bunch of new fans they will give up on the company when they make a game they have 0 interest in. that's how you lose sales and go bankrupt. :3 of course i know nothing about business that's just from the perspective of someone who doesn't give a dang-diddly crap about critical role.

hey, that's fair. all i know is that if sgg followed a policy that would be proven to earn them a lot of money, they probably would have made bastion 2. as it is, trying to theorize over what their next game will be and what world it takes place in is part of what makes sgg such a great studio. we're not anticipating a sequel, and we have no idea what to expect, but we're still here because we know that whatever it is, it'll be great

i'd prefer a new game but hades 2 just works better for the metaphor/analogy

true true. CR's worked with obsidian for pillars of eternity 1 and 2, but those are large scale crpgs. not sure how they'd get involved with a more indie studio or how they'd do
i do hope that sgg creates another unique world, to be honest. i had my doubts when they said they'd be using an arguably overdone mythology as their world
and i'll stop talking now, since this is getting into #supergiant-games territory

Oh yeah, and I'm not saying it would be the STORY of CR, I'm saying it would be an original story set in that world. And yeah, I'm not saying it should be their next project or anything, but I would definitely like to see what those teams would be able to come up with together. Because the characters and setting of the current worlds are so personal to the Cast of CR, it wouldn't really make sense for it to be part of the Player's story anyway. I'm thinking like another story on another continent of that world with some references and homages to events, but just using it as a framework. But mostly as a fan of both works and the companies behind them, they seem like a natural fit for something in the future, but obvioiusly I am not gonna be the one who knows what exactly that is lol.
And It's not just "some random youtube channel" but also a bunch of voice actors and people who are deeply involved in the Video Games industry. Like, Laura Bailey and Logan and Ashley Johnson were all up for the same awards. So it's not like they'd be working with scrubs who don't know what they're doing.
