It's essentiaally redownloading the game, because they rebuilt the engine almost entirely.
So it's intended and would probably be aabout the same size either way. Maybe a little smaller if you patched instead of redownloaded, but the game's actual size won't change THAT much.
It won't be twice the size it was before, if that's what you're worried about!

the first session should be a quick diagnosis and goal setting
I know that some university with psychology department may offer slightly cheaper psych counselings done by students, but as someone who was once a student I don't recommend that route because results may greaty vary, like you may get the student that's more compassionate and efficient than the teachers and you may get that... errrr just nope
and if you get a professional who absolutely denies that professionals can be bad and/or harmful, that's an abuser who got their position similar to policemen who became one for their authority to use gun and violence unchecked, run the heck away

if the client doesn't willingly embrace the therapy, they can "compensate" with extra self-destructive behaviours
because the root of long term psychological issues is often a situation of balance, of familiarity, a person's mind will often subconsciously attempt to restore it, and this is why professionals are often required to pull them out of it

Hades has a dedicated channel for feedback in the Supergiant Discord server, where playersโ feedback is thumbs-upโd or thumbs-downโd depending on how many other players find it useful. One player ... suggested having the โflurryโ weapon upgrades ... be available from the first room for the benefit of players who canโt button mash. It was one of the more highly thumbs-upโd suggestions that month. Where ... players often find negativity in gaming spaces, itโs comforting to find the Supergiant Discord has fostered a community where this sort of feedback is promoted and uncontroversial.

re: hunk of zinc, i assumed zinc losenges, which are these preventative cough drop type things you can take when you feel a cold coming on; there's some anecdotal evidence to suggest they make colds shorter and milder

Hmmm, so far nothing is happening when I try to launch the 64-bit Hades.exe Steamless.
Holy crap it works.
I was actually accommodating it too much at first, by renaming steam_api64.dll and SteamWrapper.dll. That's what was making it not launch, so presumably it's still checking for the presence of those.
But if you don't have the Steam client running when you run Hades.exe, it just doesn't run it, even with the Steam .dlls in its folder.
So this is pretty much the easiest option. Yay.
Probably premature to be adding the game to any wiki lists, though. Since it is still in early access, after all.
SGG devs don't sound too much like they would want to be forcing anything DRM-like on people from what I've been reading, but maybe it's not entirely up to them in the end. We'll see.
But yeah, so far so good. This definitely saves me a few frames on my hardware, so I'm happy to add the data point to the pool.

I've been eyeballing the God Eater series for a minute, since they're all on PC now.

Both 2 and 3 are good options
3 looks a lot better, and has some nice improvements for traversing and enemy variety
But I kinda dig the Blood Arts system of 2 a little bit more
Either way, theyre some of the best monster hunter clones around

Hello, I wear Zeus's trinket and it says that first boon that i find will be Zeus's. But it isn't. Am i getting something wrong?
Oh wait, it says "next" boon. So, if i start a new loop only 2nd boon will be from Zeus? Thats odd.
