VC is having a major overhaul update for a few days to say the least: Updated clients which support the DAVE (Audio & Video End-to-End Encryption) Protocol are now required to connect to non-stages voice calls across the Discord Platform. If you attempt to connect with an out of date client, the voice gateway will reject your connection with close code 4017. (On discord official status page) update should be fully rolled out by the 9th of March iirc

The web-spinny types sometimes have fairly flexible waists since they gotta finesse the silk real precisely, but a lot of the hunty or ambushy types don't tend to be super flexible there. Jumping spiders happen to be unusually flexible cos they hunt by sight, but the pair of eyes they use for detail vision have pretty narrow FOV -- so they gotta wiggle their retinas and turn their entire head around if they want to see everything in detail
