This. That way all the money surely goes to the SGG. However, this is based on assumption that soundtracks are treated in a same way as games on steam, meaning there's a split of revenue, but I don't see why it should be any different for soundtracks tho.

What regrets they are talking about??? Pyre is one of those stories that i lived through like something from childhood. Like something that Ray Bradbury talks about. I am so sad and angry that people didn't appreciated this game same as me. I understand this game mechanics/gameplay has it's own problems, but i am sure people who don't like that game just didn't played enough to understand that this games is about bounds and relationship without tons of dialogues with insane amount of options. It is an adventure. I feel sad about this game because i never played something such beautiful and deep but in the same time something so easy and soft even when i do those hard choices. I am sorry for that long text and probably wrong channel but there is nothing to regret unless somebody had problems with this game financial failure.

I would suggest bastion if you’re liking hades’ gameplay loop. Transistor if you like story (albeit slower) and some interesting progression. Pyre I haven’t played but it’s apparently very unique so good for going out on a limb to see if you like it.

Pyre is their first game with a large cast of characters - if you like the fact that there are a ton of people in Hades, Pyre is the way to go
The others are much smaller scope in terms of the characters you interact with during the game
But, like the others said, it’s not anything like Hades otherwise. Bastion is the most similar, then Transistor

Transistor has a super tech aesthetic, there's some strategy aspects to the live combat, and it's a more bleak game.

Supergiant. I'm half way through the Developing Hell documentary and felt I had to say thank you. Transistor is one of the best games I've played on PC in 10 years - magic from open to close. Hades and the documentary has made me a full on #fanboy at this point. Thank you for your art. Thank you for your music. Thank you for your stories. We haven’t had time to put sheet music together for Pyre! We got straight to work on Hades after it came out. I’m hopeful that in the next year or two I’ll have some time to put together sheets from Pyre and Hades.

@coarse kettle Until The Blood Price Update (our most recent one) for Hades, our engine used Mono and was in C#. Our first game, Bastion, used XNA.
In our last update, we completed our transition to C/C++ and no longer use Mono.

So I finally figured out why my shipping was so expensive. Media mail ($5) only works if you have the 10yr edition or the transistor vinyl in your order. If you add Bastion or Pyre vinyls, you stop getting that option. Even more limited options if you add other items from the store. I was being hit with a $75 shipping before I split up stuff 😓

Hey tso, if you're domestic we can still ship the vinyls in media mail for you and refund the additional shipping. We have to do some weird back-end stuff to stop media mail from being offered in cases of orders that have multiple types of product involved, so adding new items can make it wonky for a bit.

I could see maybe Bastion, but important part of that was narration, and part of charm was how world was destroyed and path was being created as you walked and I have hard time seeing how could you have a story set post calamity
Pyre is probably best adept, as the setting is most realized and there are a lot of things that are just mentioned in passing and not really elaborated on.

When I first sat down to play Bastion, I didn’t leave my chair once til I was done with it 8 hours later.
The ending of Pyre made me weep. And Transistor’s atmosphere is top notch. My only criticism of Hades is that as awesome as the Greek underworld is, I really fall in love with the original worlds Supergiant makes and can’t wait to see their next marvel of world building.

I wanna play Transistor, like, REALLY heccin bad. Been wanting to for a few years now. BUT, I wanna stream it without having played it at all so my reactions are genuine. But at the same time, I feel like I could do that for Hades too. But I don't know if I should wait to stream Transistor since it's already complete and wait for Hades to be out of early access first, or just play Transistor for fun and then play Hades.

Pyre isn't really in that equation as I'm most definitely going into it blind, given I've heard it has a drastically different playstyle to the other three.

They're all relatively different! Two pairs have one thing in common maybe, but each one does its own thing I'd say. Still in the interest of allotting streaming time, a Pyre campaign is around 20 hours, I had 24 but I'm stubborn and bad at it.

I mean in overall terms of how it's played. With Bastion, Transistor, and Hades, they're all top-down semi-strategy RPGs, whereas Pyre is one that has you juggling between different characters and going up against a team in a psuedo-turn-based arena game, from what I've heard.

Turn-based is Transistor! Bastion and Hades I'd say are straight-up action, with the big difference that one's a rogue-lite while Bastion is a simple adventure same as Transistor. Pyre is arcade 3 on 3 sports, but still top-down and actiony

Oh. I had thought Transistor was played similarly to Bastion, of course minus the Arsenal mechanic.
Then again, the extent of my knowledge on Transistor is that the music is amazing (Then again, when is it not with Supergiant?), the combat/ability system is heavily customizable, you play as a chick named Red, and her boyfriend is her sword.
And that is all I know about the game

Yeah. Supergiant is definitely one team that I SO wanna collab with for a game at some point in the future. I think the biggest one I'd wanna collab with is a remake of a particular game I can't mention the name of yet for legal reasons (currently buying the rights to that game since the company that made it went backrupt and I wanna remake the game in a time period where it'll be more appreciated and I can express the original creator's story better. Also, I mean, the guy that made it created the Metroid Prime series, who DOESN'T wanna work with him?), or for one of my own games. Angel & Graywolf. Basic premise is that it's a harpy boy and a werewolf boy who are heavily in love but interracial marriage is heavily illegal in their society. It would be top-down and have you play as both of them at the same time. Rather than switching between the two, they both function as one.
Basic moral of the first game was that the colonization of the Americas was a terrible thing, Angel & Graywolf's is that the purist mindset is honestly just stupid
