Hades 2: roguelike, and you cry twice as much
Twice the rogue
Double the lite
i think the reason lament of orpheus is at every live show (at least the acoustic and ochestra ones) is they just really want to flex darrens falsetto
at least the london one has good riddance too but what i wouldnt do for an ochestral arrangement of that song!!
hopefully it has twice if not at least the same amount of bisexual panic
Inb4 we get pansexual panic
Depends on if you find Chaos hot
Then Hades counts
Pyre is more Oregon Trail + NBA Jam to be honest
They even ||caulk the wagon to float it across|| 😉
Someone do an AU where the Nightwings play Oregon Trail!
where's hypermini games
where’s amazingenormous games
maybe i will >:)
Volfred would have an incredibly elaborate strategy and never actually start playing. Pamitha and Hedwyn would enjoy the changes made in the most modern version that has all the western state folks in it, not just the eastern white settlers. Rukey would enjoy the hunting mini-game way too much. *Ae gets very concerned any time someone is sick and constructs backstories for the party. Jodi likes the landmarks and side stories you get if you talk to people. Betrude has Opinions about the games accuracy when it comes to medical treatment.
Would like to ask Bertrude if people do die of dysentery that often
I'm still screaming with laughter from the time we went to see The Secret Garden musical, and they rewrote the opening scenes so that Mary walks into a dinner party where all the guests have somehow died of cholera at the table, in their best clothes, apparently overnight
Do...do y'all know how cholera works 😂
at the table... great place for cholera
Which of the best supergiant's game
Yes
hades
Which one ? For you
Pyre
Yeah its my favourite
YEAGHAEHRAJHJFFDHD
Yeah it’s Pyre

transistor fan here
i think the objectively best is hades
but one of my favorites is transistor and i really love pyre too
Hades if I'm trying to make sense, but Pyre is my favorite
For game play I gotta say hades but the story and vibes of transistor are just immaculate.
pyre is top tier
jen zee is allergic to showing me red's lipstick shade, actually
the closest i can get is heavily shaded pink/red
but then the yellow portrait and poster shows a dark red so i have no idea
^ me whenever I try to draw Hades
his skin is a different color in every other angle
Pyres my favorite, the sceneries are the best out of their games imo
late vote for pyre. for the music, the characters, the story…
thanks to the music, there are many different vibes contained in a single game, and all absolutely immaculate
so true
All, but especially Pyre
sorry its hades 2
its not even out yet

it's out in my heart
bought Pyre in the current steam sale
and at first my reaction was "well it's no Hades" but I'm fairly far now I would say and damn, I think I really like it
Yeah it's something totally different
Some of the DNA is the same but it's not like one is trying to be the other at all
And both are great
Welcome to the gang
one of us one of us
I still like Hades more I think but I really enjoyed it, far more than I expected
Thought the same until i played multiplayer pyre, best supergiant game imo
haven't tried multi yet but I feel like I would get destroyed
Yeah, my first few matches failer destroyed me
maybe i should just cosplay every ashley barett
im already working on red and have considered zia
well actually i dont know if i can do celeste or eurydice justice
Yes
do it
idk my issue is celeste and eurydice are both POC (well eurydice is a tree but she def has POC features) and i dont know how comfortable i feel cosplaying either when there are a lot of really awesome POC cosplayers in the community
im sure there wouldnt be an issue if i just made the outfit and some things but its a little weird to me
well... i mean, i'm sure you wouldn't be doing a blackface lol. but i understand your concerns
well yeah ofc
would love to see what i could do with eurydice's tree bark texture with makeup also
ooh yeah
noooo but they're so creative
shoutout to this literally gorgeous eury that was posted on reddit a few days ago https://www.reddit.com/r/HadesTheGame/comments/11iexmm/my_wife_cosplayer_punky_bruisers_eurydice_costume/
damn, excellent indeed
what's the play order for bastion pyre transistor they were 80% off so i picked them up
ik they're not like connected
but for the progression of game madeking
I’d say release order
Bastion -> Transistor -> Pyre
cool
roll a die and choose based on that reject authority
my bias says go transistor
i tried starting pyre and got mega confused so i think ill try bastion
but logically release order makes sense
Also helps that bastion is on the shorter side
Anyways all are worth to play so have fun
And prepare tissues
i dont like bastion’s gameplay but the story and music is so worth it
Release order definitely
So after saving up for 2 months and starving I bought the game on sale on steam
Now I feel empty
Cuz I all ready finished it 100 percent on the pirated version 3 times all ready
Now what do I do........
Guess I will wait for Hades two then
But damn I wasted 211 hours on a game that I do not regret playing
10/dusa's 🐍 hair
Wait is dusa's head still on sale?
Or is it out of stock
ermm
i dont rlly think its the best idea to openly admit you pirated a game in the discord for studio that made said game
Yeahh
hello again kit
hihi
for reference, while we obviously don't condone it the mention isn't really a problem. obviously if people are wanting to discuss how to pirate then that's no go. but in this instance i will just refer you to something greg has said previously on steam
basically like. if someone mentions they pirated, just kinda talk around it, don't shame them. you don't know their situation
ah yea, i wasnt trying to shame them (tbf ive been in the exact same position) but i get what youre saying
I really like this response. It explains dev's point of view and encourages to support them, so thoughtful and kind. SGG in a nutshell
Actually I'm used to get shamed for pirating games because I live in Egypt so one dollar is like 31egp which is equivalent to a real good breakfast
And inflation and all that stuff
I buy the games that I like
Like for example Skyrim
That's where I got most of the hate
Even when I bought the game they needed proof and showed them proof
And in the end treated me wrong like not helping me or answering any questions I have
That's why I refunded the game
There community is highly offensive with pirating games
Like muted me and ban me for a week kind of way
And I just noticed they are linked to reddit
But it's what ever I still buy the games that the Devs deserves the money for the game
Like supergiant
But man ALOT of people hate the guys that pirate games
Well it's what ever I'm used to it
But tbh I'm going to buy a game with out trying it for the first time and I'm talking about Hades two I'm going to empty my bank account and starve for Hades 2
yeah like. we really dont encourage piracy discussion here but its not really a taboo if you mention you did, situations are different for people. it means a lot that you enjoyed it enough to go and buy it anyway
please dont starve though 😅 i think supergiant will understand
@cursive galleon Are you planning to restock the Hades merch?
Hey there @simple bane ! The Hades merchandise sold through Fangamer is also restocked by Fangamer. I believe that other than the Hades PowerA Nintendo Switch Controller, all items are expected to be restocked.
Will continue to patiently wait for a Chthonic Gods poster restock…
mannn who thought it was a good idea to make me run the game 9 more times to get a proper ending
go for it!!
it's literally the point of the genre, stop whining about it
learn to separate your own preferences from the design intentions
??
Why so passive aggressive
Also I have good reason for "whining" about it
I'd love to finish the game 10 times but it took me like 10 hours just to get it one time and I got school and other stuff to do
Also just being plain rude to me isnt gonna help
but stay blessed nd what not
It‘s gonna get easier, both by you simply getting better at the game and unlocking stuff. And the story still continues without doing full clears :) The people over at #h1-for-new-players probably have more tips for you
thats whats up
yeah the first clear is always the longest
the rest are way quicker because that's when the game really opens up
You definitely won't need 10x 10h = 100h to get to the credits (and if you do, you could always enable god mode...)
Yeah, you'll likely reach the ending before the 30 hours mark. Maybe 20h.
if some of you haven't checked #readme-first in a while, this is probably a good time for a refresher.
passive aggressive lmao someone with your attitude doesn't deserve any passivity, if you're gonna spray your rudeness here don't expect people to take it lying down
Hm?
Where was I rude?
Your first post pls
Cmon now
you literally joined the server just to complain
hey, stop
I tried to start a convo by talking about something in the game i dont really enjoy?
and you pick the channel about the company in general instead of the many channels dedicated to the game?
Oh lol i didnt even see but this is still the channel for the games no?
@mild thistle this was directed at you. drop it.
no it's not
...........
I thought it was just supergiant
Those who do not show kindness do not deserve any in return
melon, this attitude is unwarranted at someone who did not have bad or rude intentions at all, and you have already been warned by a mod and ignored it - again, drop this and move on
people are allowed to voice their displeasure with a game even in a server dedicated to it
yes, but every game also has a channel dedicated to it, and in hades' case multiple channels. so for future reference you can chat about it in #h1-discussion or such
will do
Hi everyone!

Yoloaspico
One is never fully done with Pyre
It stays in one’s memory forever
It stays true to the end.
This is such a cuuuute emote aaaah!

my cursor keeps disappearing in hades and i dont know how to fix it
its there for a few seconds and then it just vanishes
i can still play the gam i just cant see what im doing
Try checking for a solution in #h1-tech-fixes and if not, then asking in #h1-tech-support
bastion was super difficult for me
Hades somehow felt less so, maybe because by the time achievements came out I have been playing a while
So is the Supergiant team working completely remotely still?
they haven't talked about it anywhere so hard to say. just given the basis that the vast majority of businesses ended or limited work from home at this point, i would say they are probably not completely remote
though they did hire for remote jobs
yeah, if i remember correctly the character artist they hired is based in france
i think 🤔
but i doubt they are still fully remote like during hades development
The people working in San Fran are prolly back at the office, ye
Gotta wait for the NoClip doc to see hehe
what if i drew sgg characters as cats 🤨?? (idk where this would possibly go.. also if so which characters should i make designs for first)
also no red orrr sybil i have made cat designs for them already :3
Oralech!
he looks cool! :0
rukey >:)
zia
Hypnos or Chaos!
👀👀👀
Soo i fell asleep lol, but i will add all of your guys suggestions to a list and then im gonna work on them one by one !
Does anyone know if there will be a Noclip series accompanying the release of Hades 2? I loved the one they made for the Hades launch and further process and the following ones talking about all their games. I would love to know if it’s been talked about or confirmed.
We loved working with Noclip on their Developing Hell video documentary series about the making of the original Hades, filmed throughout the course of its development. We've been in talks with Noclip about our current plans, though it's too early to say whether we'll end up doing something like last time.
https://www.supergiantgames.com/blog/hades2-faq/
Bastion or Transistor, what's better?

transistor is good, ofc. all sgg games are. but there's a certain deep emotionality that transistor doesn't lack but i feel it doesn't hit in the same way it does in bastion. also bastion has zulf.
tho i will say i like transistor's combat better/find it more interesting
Zulf definitely is a selling point
world's saddest man
just like me fr fr
haven't we all had our fiancee turn to stone then crumble into dust at our lightest touch
transistor
theres a boyfriend in that sword :((
finally can use a record player after owning these for years :D very exciting
the CHILLS i got?? i need it oh my god
So pretty!!
please just restock the vinyls please uspergr ir ngianatr inta im cyrriong rriight now i needt hsi i'm in shambles im
What a gorgeous vinyl
man i've never actually seen one of those i wanted them so bad
Bought the whole Supergiant Games collection just now, thanks so much for creating such masterpieces

Just bought the rest of the games today!
guys
would u reccomened for me to buy bastion, pyre or transistor
there all 3 dollars
did you play hades already?
yes
ngl
didint like hades that much past the first part because it was so repetitive
what was your favorite part of it? combat, story etc
loved the combat, story... ehh
one thing i hate like sports games cuz i think pyre is that
well enver tried one but it just sounds.....bad
pyre is very story focused and a lot of reading, as well as being kind of a sports game
i can probably buy 2 of them
i would recommend bastion though
combat is not as fluid as hades though, because its supergiants first game, but its very fun
yeah
there really cheap so i dont have high expectations for combat, just so cheat its like
probably worth it to pick one or two up
transistors combat is a bit harder to get into but its cool, theres a lot of combinations to try out like in hades
its turn-based but kind of different than the usual turn based game
you can play it in real time with some builds or with enough stubbornness, lol
lol
i probably will do that
and use the ability too
probably can use both
im expecting i wouldnt really like pyre tho
cuz having freaking soccer just doesnt make sense
ina game against monsters
like if im tryna fight a boss it doesnt make sense to have it being soccer
it is more niche, but i liked it a lot
it just doesnt sound fun
for me atleast
i think i could get into transistor and bastion
cuz they sound money like a combat game
thats fair :] i played it when it just released in one sitting lol it really got me
just so you know that transistor and bastion are definitely not as long as hades, you can get a decent amount of hours out of them but not the same
yeah.........but hades is 12 dollars
and bastion is 3
and transistor is 4
hopefully bastion is better than a side of chipotle chips
well im a bit biased bc i just love these games, but i hope you enjoy whatever you decide to pick up
yeah
main thing is if i dont like theese
idrc cuz its so cheap
ima skip pyre cuz my backlist of games i have that i havent played is actually crazy
-Half Life Series
-Jedi fallen order
-Resident evil 4#
-Resident evil HD
-Resident evil 5
-Resident evil revelations
-jedi fallen order
-doom eternal
-subnautica
-bioshock infinite
-portal series
-Halo:reach
-Halo 4(mixed reviews game)
-Halo 3
-Halo 2
-Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary
-Halo:ODST
-Left for dead 2
-alien isolation
-axiom verge
one giant list lol
Which supergiant game do you think had the best story?
okay this is Hard
hades is the most meaningful to me
transistor is just so augh its gorgeous and everything about it furthers the story and lore
pyre literally lets you choose your own story
bastion has so many memorable moments
overall i might say hades but thats my bias
i personally think hades is when sgg perfected everything
transistor or pyre imo
pyre hands down
i finished hades a few days ago
transistors story is a bit less straightforward but very good, its worldbuilding is amazing and i love it dearly since its the first one i played... i played it countless times too
pyre is something else though, i dont know if i can even describe it in words (in a very good way)
and i just finished transistor today
in like 4 hours
transistor had pretty garbage gameplay
but its theme and story were too interesting to put down
i think imma play pyre next
and save good ol bastion for last
lets see what Pyre has to offer
Pyre
transistor
Sggs best game
i will never change my opinion
not just an opinion, it's a fact
whether my favorite is transistor or pyre depends on which one I thought about most recently
oh ya
Does true nightwing mode have a different ending for Pyre?
Also when you meet sandalwood in Pyre, what happens if you decide to leave the group?
Does the game just end?
No and no
I am team Pyre as well ❤️ Just such an incredible and deep connection that builds between the characters in such a short amount of time
leave the group, how do you mean?
i don't remember the exact wording, but when you meet volfred for the first time, when he does his whole "you can go now" sort of thing, you have the text option to say you're leaving.
ahhh ok
i think both hades has the best story and is in general just the better game. i seem to have the unpopular opinion that all of SGG previous games aren't very good, hades was their first great game imo. personally i think SGG should stick to Rogue-likes as it seems they are doing for now
plus most genres have a few devs who focus on the genre and are lead devs in said genres (like Dice in massive online shooters, Fraxis games in turn based strategy, Rockstar and CDPR in open world RPGs, Bloober in psychological horror and Paradox in grand strategy games and so on) but Rogue-likes/lites don't have that so it'd be nice to see SGG be the first lead dev team in the Rogue-like genre
roguelikes just take a long time to develop which is prolly why there isnt a big studio that constantly churns out roguelikes
i mean, all games take a long time to develop but a highly detailed and content dense roguelike that keeps you coming back for hundreds of hours will take a long time, esp for indie game devs
yeah i really hope roguelikes dont get oversaturated
roguelikes are the kinda game i play for hundreds of hours and i cant juggle 5 roguelikes i really like lmfao
i trust sgg enough to not turn hades into a huge franchise ala assassins creed tbh
yes
yeah same
sgg know what they're doing
and honestly i just hope they make whatever they're passionate about
thats why htere is other devs? that argument makes no sense... every time i get bored of say a rockstar open world rpg i just... play nother devs game
i don't necessarily want more hades, i want more rogue-likes
well then you dont need sgg to make more roguelikes you just need to dig a little deeper for good games
nobody makes games in the same style of supergiant though, all their games have core elements even through different genres
if anything after hades 2 i'd love more non hades rogue-likes, they proved they can make a story from rogue-likes i'd like to see them do it somewhere else and its clear they're some of the best there is at this
i know and i do, im asking for both. just because i like team cherry's hollow knight doesnt mean i cant also like ori etc.
personally id love to see a real puzzle game from them someday
transistor lacked that
i mean fair enough, i just personally really didn't like the last 3 games and now ive seen them show they can be the best at this genre i think it'd be best to see them stick to it and innovate like they already have done with hades
but each to their own
i also think 1 dev team consistently putting out phenominal (or just good) games in a genre forces every other dev that wants to make a rogue-like to do better or fail
idk i dont really think you should hold them to a genre or a creative limitation. sgg are insanely creative and i think it would be better if they just followed whatever inspiration brings them to
that also breeds copycats, but thats subjective
also its hard to make multiple unique excellent games in the same genre
there are hundreds of devs that do it for every other genre under the sun and make the most creative and enjoyable games on earth. sticking to 1 genre doesnt limit creativity, if anything i think it increases it. it forces them to come up with new stories and find new work arounds
also sticking to Rogue-likes doesnt mean u can't also experiment in others. there are horror open world games and first person shooter metroidvanias etc
i dont think theyll stick to rougelikes if thats not whats making them exicted
i dont believe this to be true at all, as is evidence with the hundreds of other devs that do it for other genres
also this is all far far in the future
hades 2 has at minimum a year of devolpment and most likely more
yeah, only time will tell
well give or take
there is positives and negatives for both sides so i understand peoples opinions even if i dont agree and my opinion probably stems from me not liking their previous games and now they have made a game i do think is good im inclined to want them to stick to what they're good at
thats fair!
hades is already a pretty dense game so i think anything in future hypothetical sgg roguelikes would just seem like either "stripped down hades" or "hades with a new coat of paint" and i think hades 2 gets around this easily because its presenting itself as an extension of the game. to flesh out the world even more.
i dont thnk any of the other games are bad at all though
also this
hades 2 has a lot of room to expand but after a while theres just not much room to
without making it a franchise anyway
i don't agree, red dead 2 and gta v are 2 different games made by a dev who focusses on 1 genre and beyond the games being made by the same team and being the same genre thats pretty much where the similarities end. they're only compared to each other because rockstar made them both
thats so funny somebody draw that
i think the same can be said if SGG stuck to rogue-likes. it forces them to innovate and be better
paradox is another great example, their games are all grand strategy and yet each is so unique. you can pour 1000 hours into crusader kings 3 but the second you pick up stellaris you're clueless because of how different they are
hades may be the game I played the most but I def prefer the other 3 more
Just roguelikes would make it hard to tell lots of story tbh
on this topic
roguelike as a genre is so incredibly squished already by its narrow parameters that its almost impossible to make a roguelike unlike other roguelikes
I heavily disagree. You can very much make unique rogue-likes and just like any genre you can combine multiple genres. You can have a FPS rogue-like or a martial arts beat em up rogue-like. Hell you can have a card deck builder rogue-like.
Also the only restraints for a rogue-like is
-Some form of randomness
And
- each time you play or "start a run" you start from the beginning.
Thats it. Just those 2 qualify for a rogue-like. Sifu, Hades and slay the spire are all rogue-likes and all insanely different. The excuse "it doesnt allow for any uniqueness or creativity" is not only completely untrue but also just seems like a lazy argument
If i thought hard enough i could probably come up with a unique story for a rogue-like with a new premise right now.
Nova Drift has an interesting take on this recipe
I have to agree, roguelikes/lites can be extremely varied
Even Terraria could be considered a roguelike if you play in hardcore
Though this convo is best suited for #video-games
Permadeath, procedurally generated, and real-time
It’s a niche category with two main components one being third first one being first
Expanding combat systems doesn’t make the game entirely different
Doesnt have to be real-time at all. Nor procedurally generated. Permadeath and some form of randomness
Yeah, procedurally generated usually
"Usually" doesnt mean it has to be
The original rogue was procedural iirc so it carried over
Plenty of turn based rogue-likes
Turn based roguelike?
Slay the spire is one of them
There is also that strategy rogue-like akin to xcom forgot what its called
No. Its factually a rogue-like. That is what the game is. Lmao. Look at any rogue-like list every.
I don't mean to be rude bit you're arguing a point without even knowing what a rogue-like is
Rogue like doesn’t mean random and one life
That’s so generic anything can be a roguelike
MW2019 gunfight isn’t a roguelike
it means procedurally generated at least partially and singlelife
Games can have roguelike elements and not be roguelikes
no it isnt a rogue-like because its a single mode in a full game, battlefield 5 isnt a battle royale despite having a BR game mode. u see how that works? and genres are generally vague they then go into subgenres which are more specific such as action rogue-like, deck builder rogue-like etc thats how genres work in every form of medium be it games or films and books too
you just proved my point, MR2019 having a rogue-like MODE doesnt make the game a rogue-like just how battlefield 5 isnt a BR. when the whole game is within the parameters it makes it part of that genre
things in one genre can be insanely different. since i mentioned BR we can take it as an example. the only condition for a BR is "last man standing" by this definition both Fortnite is a BR as well as fall guys yet the 2 being so different. 1 genre doesnt mean everything in it is exactly the same
thats kind of why subgenres exist
so as i said in my original point. SSG can stick to what i think they're clearly good at (and some may disagree, thats fine, the world doesnt revolve around me) and still have A LOT of room for creativity and uniqueness. claiming they can't would just be wrong.
don't like to interrupt, but this convo is more for #video-games at this point
for the record, i find it a great thing that sgg isn't a single-genre studio. it's wonderful that they'e been able to experiment with different forms with great success, and it is a way of reaching out to more fans
if sgg only did roguelikes, i don't think i would have been introduced to their games at all
that's fair enough, agree to disagree tho. as i said, the world doesn't revolve around me. i personally never liked their previous games but now they have shown me what they can do very well i'm inclined to just want them to stick to it, for the foreseeable future i'll have my wish with Hades 2 but beyond that who knows.
i think the only thing i don't like about Hades so far is how zagreus says "mate" every other sentence. lol
That’s true but the concept is a lot more open
BR in nature means free for all permadeath
that’s it
It’s wide because you can do anything with it
Roguelike is called that because it has similarities to rogue
Which had two defining features
(Mostly) procedurally generated
And permadeath
I thought the va was Australian for a while lmao
he does sound it sometimes
No i think the accents are ment to be british and whilst most the accents are pretty spot on (which in comparison to other american media is a huge W) but i think they over did the "mate" thing. British people do not say mate every 5 seconds
I've been sorely disappointed by the lack of innits
Bastard's crying, innit
I think the mate only comes in dialogues with certain characters though
like every conversation with Orpheus or Dionysus but not the rest I think
He sounds like a posh aussie though
Like you’d hear an Australian millionaires son speak like Zagreus
Mostly American but sounds Australian here and there
zagreus says mate a perfect amount of times and i will not be taking criticism
fwiw its mostly condensed in the early dialogue, its not said nearly as much later on
except dionysus
and tbf ive met some people who struggle not to say mate every sentence
I've seen some fun takes that it makes Zag come off like a sheltered rich kid trying to sound slangy and relatable
Which sounds like a fine headcanon to me
"This is how the common folk talk, eh mate? Not like my snobby father!"
Hi in what month can we expect Hades 2 in early access?
They haven't said yet
everything that is currently known about hades 2 is posted in #hades2-faq
Anyone owns the Hades tshirt from Fangamer, the No Escape one? Wondering about the quality of it, if the print is something solid or if it will peel off after few washings
same question about the Cerberus hoodie
fangamer shirts print is super high quality, i havent worn the no escape one yet but the nyx and meg ones have been great quality
If they're anything like the old Transistor/Bastion ones yeah, they'll hold up well
that's good to hear, cause I've ordered some tshirts in the past (not from Fangamer) and after like three washes it was almost just a white tshirt
still gotta wait till they have L size in stock
Got a Meg shirt for my wife for Christmas and it still looks brand new
I've got the Meg shirt too, it's excellent quality
more like megcellent amirite
boo
I've got it, very nice shirt
had their pyre shirt for years now its still good
I have it and have worn it numerous times! The print has only just started fading (and even then its still fully distinctive, its just a little bit of vibrancy on the reds). Only issue I had with mine was that the sew line between the collar and the main shirt split so I had to re-sew it (but that was a super easy fix and was probably from me pulling at the collar to adjust where it sat
)
I can also strongly recommend the cerberus hoodie- it's very cosy and comfy
nah, but that's not because of SSG, i just don't buy snacks and drinks much in general
i would try an sgg energy drink just to see what was up
snacks yes energy drink probably not
saw someone who makes some hades inspired tea blends though i havent tried anyway but i want to
A blend honoring our determined prince himself! Pomegranate and Pomegranate Green teas swirl together for a bright burst, while Pur-Eh Dante brings an earthy smoothness. Zesty yet sweet, this blend is power-packed with caffeine to get you through even the toughest runs that life (or after life) could throw your way. Accented with Marigold to mim...
gasp
did sgg partner w adagio teas??
pretty sure its unofficial
fandom brews are fan made. it says who created this blend on the page
Fresh tea, cool accessories and plethora of useful information. Adagio Teas is the most popular tea store online, with stellar customer service marks.
ohhh ok
dw ive never used this site i had to look lol but ye the same person made all the hades ones
yeah, i knew adagio was a like a legit company so it threw me for a loop. i had no idea they had fans do tea too.
yeah you can make your own blends im pretty sure
Would be cool if they did partner though
i wonder if sgg will start partnering w other companies in the future for things outside of like clothes/figures/pins and such. it'd be interesting to see what they'd come up with.
We'd lose a lot of players if they had to jump into the fire too though
banishment is just a stay at ICU
Send a player to another country when they're too good.
i have a supergiant(haha) important question:
will there ever be a reprint of the hades soundtrack on vinyl? 😭
iirc they've said fangamer is the one to ask questions about merch so you could always try contacting them
sgg team doesn't often respond to questions and such on here so you can also contact them via the 'contact us' form on their website too
iirc the faq said they intend to
both encouraging replies, i appreciate getting responded to nonetheless lol
https://www.supergiantgames.com/blog/changes-to-our-store/
Q: Will you be reissuing vinyl records for Hades or other soundtracks?
A: We are working on this! We will announce any reissues via our Twitter and our newsletter -- please sign up for our newsletter if you'd like to be notified about new merchandise.
so, gamers
hello
and as a supergiant related matter, what flavor chip would you consider some of the games
hades is like a flaming hot cheeto
bastion is barbecue
transistor is salt and vinegar
pyre is sour cream and onion
the basticue, like that one

I don't know what chip flavor it is, but pyre would have the flavor that tastes good at first, but has this lingering sadness to it
not regret, but you are left with something in your heart
pizza pringle then
no, pyre fits sour cream and onion
only one of these i dont have is Pyre
time to fix that 🔫
Definitely will when a bit more moolah rolls in my way
Ive only played bastion and transistor so far so i think..
Soyr cream and onion for bastion, very good but not my favorite, transistor like above salt and vinegar solely for the reason around the same time i was fixated on transistor i ate a lot of salt and vinegar chips so they kind of remind me of each other lol
PSA Fangamer No Escape tshirt has been restocked
only the US shop tho
can someone explain how the eu shop can have higher prices while also having euro currency so they are even more expensive?
import taxes?
tshirt costs $32.00 on US and €38 on EU, so $40
maybe
but like I'm seriously considering ordering from the US one cause even with shipping it might be cheaper
the US store tells me that I should consider the EU because it has flat €5 shipping
but the the thshirt itself is also like 5 € more expensive so that's 10 € already, and I'm not counting the hoodie
$11.74 on US store it tells me
so it's not even that much more for the shipping
as 5€ is like 7$
are you going to order it?
still deciding
because of the shipping costs? or just because you wonder whether you want it or not
hoodie goes from 59 USD to fricking 70 € on EU site
yeah
shipping from EU might be safer
as in it might not get lost or something
but also EU doesn't have the tshirt in stock so do I want to wait and then likely pay more anyway
don't they reimburse if it gets lost
well... there's also one other small possibility to reduce shipping costs (but it depends on some additional factors)
you can order together with someone else and split the shipping
ive paid 57 dollars for an order from fangamer before, but tbf, it was a very big order
just for shipping?
do you know if they reimburse lost packages, alma?
yeah that was shipping
geez, that's some heavy shipping
i dont know but i should find out bc my recent one got lost... i recently moved and im having trouble with the post
ouch
yeah they lost me 2 packages already 😓
I went and calculated the EU store and if the Tshirt were in stock there it would be total with the hoodie and shipping 113€, which should be about 121$, which is what the US store tells me is the total, so it seems it doesn't matter anyway
I guess the increased pricing is the shipping
so I might wait for EU restock
well, splitting the shipping is an option for the EU store too
if I were to do that it would be better to order from US then? cause shipping there is in the shipping, whereas EU has it baked into product prices
and then cheaper shipping
i suppose
also this doesn't concern me but the EU store has much less merch for some reason
like half the store is missing
maybe there's less interest, so they don't bother offering everything
apparently they do refund it if its lost, just not the shipping price
theres a faq at the very bottom of the page
I was about to ask if I'm blind but no, only US store has FAQ
lmao
nevermind found it, EU has it more hidden
am blind officially
What would you put in an SGG themes time capsule, set to open 25-30 years from now?
I'd put something from every game in there
Like a plushie of the kid from Bastion.
The book of rites
hades 2 on summer game fest? any chances?
There’s always a chance
if we don't see anything I'll be surprised
A track of Bound Together. The more time is spent between the first time you listen time and the last, the more it hits like a truck
“bound together” my beloved
youtube channel hades speedrunning hall of shame
but actually probably the cloudbank art
Hall of shame???
This is a collection of the worst of the worst, all lowlights of the best of the best of Hades speedrunners. All clips are used with permission from the runners. LOL
Hall of shame is amazing
I’m answering to this super late because I just remembered about this message…
but…
This video

I just don't even know. You find some weird audio files that aren't in the game proper? Plant it!
timeless advice
boy... slams fist on table
It's super well designed
Is the face better in-person than the promo photos looked?
Do any of the devs hang out here? My brother and I are working on a game largely inspired by Hades, especially the dialog system (which is probably way more ambitious than we should be), and I'm wondering if they have any advice and/or warnings they'd be willing to share with some amateur developers?
That really is a huge task so good luck. You could probably email them if you want a direct response.
they also have a contact form on their website. they're rarely active here, though
Thanks
what type?
the dialog system is taken from visual novels, so if thats what you want to recreate go play some of those
the rest of the game depends on what youre doing though
We are looking at various visual novels. The gameplay itself is going to be a roguelite beat em up, basically Hades meets Streets of Rage.
And while the goal is to imitate Hades' dynamic dialog system, that's something we can start small with and scale up to the point we're comfortable with.
The main issue I would see with a dialouge system like hades is not the dynamic system, while difficult, its just the sheer quantity of dialouge you have to write to make it viable. Still, sounds amazing! Good luck to you guys!
I wrote like a really short (~15 min.) VN with almost no choices or alternate paths and it's about 10k words, it's really brutal
It helps that we're both writers, but yeah, it's still a lot. But as I was saying, this is conveniently scalable. If, at the end, we have the main story and just a few rare bits of flagged dialog, we'll still have a coherent story.
There's the GMTK video about it
It doesn't go into the programming of the stuff at all, but it explains how it globally function
it takes time
visual novel dialogue isnt hard, but the point is that theres a LOT OF DIALOGUE
so prepare to write a lot
and actually like writing the characters
if you dislike writing them writing the dialogue is going to be even harder
Supergiant Games, I am not qualified for the position at all, but thank you
Quality Assurance? I can do that
come, give me the hades 2 early build, gimme. I can be trusted with classified info
while i realise were all a bit biased here, would you guys recommend all of supergiants games?
theyre all unique in their worlds and stories, as well as art styles - pyre might be the most niche but i love them all sooo much
like, theyre up for a total of 10 bucks for all of tehm ddue to teh steam sael, so i dont see why i wouldnt, tbh
wow, even cheaper for u folks
I just bought the whole bundle 🥰
Good music, hot well-written characters, caters to a wide arrangement of players whether you want to enjoy the story or experiment with the tools
Yes.
so, pyre question. Is tehre any way to not be reffered to as "he"all the time?
nvm i found teh button- i was actually on the verge of just leaving
Nice that you found it
When in doubt hovering over any red highlited text is a good way to find things
Tho how are you referred can also be changed in the settings iirc
just started the game, aned while im having alittle trouble with the controls and strategy, i won! also, the narrator/tutorial person/announcer's VOICE.. omg thats greayt
After Hades what Supergiant Games do yall recommend?
playing from release order is always a great way to appreciate how they smooth some mechanics/seeing sgg evolve
if you liked the gameplay more bastion is the one that has the "most similar" style to it but like barely
is way slower
pyre is the one that has you read the most/gameplay can be off putting at first
and I'm letting someone else that sees this explain transistor cus idk how
Which of part Hades did you like more?
- Gameplay: Transistor
- Story: Pyre
- Can’t Chose: Bastion
Id say actually
Gameplay: Bastion
Plot: Transistor or Pyre
Art + Music: Transistor
Characters: Pyre
I split story into two bc transistor and pyre both excell at different parts of it
Like pyre has really well written characters that you get attached to, and transistor has a tragic, immersive story but only s few characters
thanks a lot seems like on looks alone I am liking the looks of Transistor
I bought the Steam bundle so i have all of the games now
I hear Pyre is the best sports video game lol
the best and only wizard basketball game
While there is a lot of reading in pyre, many people don't really talk about the positives of the rites (sports style gameplay). It is extremely fun and deep and it's sad more people don't recognize it as such.
both pyre and transistor have pretty unique gameplay. doesn’t work for everyone, but they’re both well-executed imo
and pyre can always use more attention
Oh yeah havent played Transistor yet, though it was like Hades gameplay
bastion would be the one more like hades, just uh. slower
oh wait someone already said that haha
but ye
Is Supergiant still consider a Indie company even after the success of Hades?
or are they tripple A company now
i dont think thats how it works
The difference iirc is in budget and team size
supergiant is still a small team
and theyre most likely not getting closeee to the monetary backing triple a studios get
By what I searched
AAA have like 200 ppl at minimum
?
ah i see
I though once a indie company made it big they are considered triple A but now I understand thanks
I dont think theres like a Specific number but that makes sense
Indie technically means independent, meaning they have no publisher or outside funding I guess
size is kinda tied to it because at a certain amount of people you'd either need funding or have enormous capital and keep pumping out banger after banger
banger in a financial success sense
Also, it's not like there's a strict dichotomy between different types of games company (and you can be non-indie whilst not being AAA - there's AA as well, at least for those medium-sized companies)
Hi Everyone! 👋
A friend and I are currently working on our Master’s thesis in product development and innovation management. Our study is focused mainly on the impact of early acces in the gaming industry.
We’re trying to gather information about this and it would be amazing if we could add supergiant to that list given the history you guys have with early access.
Any developers here that would be willing to spare some time for an interview about their experience developing for early access?
Thanks in advance for the help (and for the amazing games)
you can contact supergiant here https://www.supergiantgames.com/contact/
you can also browse #ask-supergiant as well as the #hades-patch-notes and watch noclip's developing hell documentary on hades which spans from the beginning of early access to 1.0 https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-THgg8QnvU4JEVov1tMlFThNYS92F8uC
<positive> Absolutely wild the number of people doing academic papers including stuff with Hades and SGG
(Speaking as someone who has also talked about Hades in an academic paper lmao)
honestly i still find it difficult to wrap my head around just how absolutely massive hades became and how many people even know the name supergiant nowadays lmao
it's super wild to go from no one knowing what the heck bastion was to hades being a very recognizable thing
people dont know that there was so little fanart during hades early access period that i could throw it in a spreadsheet........... i gave up on that very quickly after launch LOL
I blame that in part due to Pyre, because for whatever reason it made me disregard SGG for a while and I assume it had the same effect on other people
Also having launched the EA on Epic alone couldn't have helped with exposure
not necessarily, i think it was all roughly consistent with fan content from previous releases. its just super funny to me that it exploded the way it did at 1.0 and within days i could not keep track of the amount of content being posted lol
I've never even heard of SGG before Hades
or rather I have but thought they were the same company as supermassive games
Oh I see, that's kinda nuts tatz hah
I trecked on SGG's Reddit at one point and ordered the posts via highest popularity on top and there are so many gems on there. Most, if not all, were from Hades lmao
yeah most of it will be hades atp but im happy for people that tried the other games and found something to love in them too! if not, thats still okay
I've tried Pyre after Hades and it was really enjoyable
same
i knew bastion existed because i used to pretty into xbox arcade but i didnt know who developed it
i think i only ever played the demo back in 2013 </3
I knew SSG existed from the started (although I completely bounced off of Bastion at the time). I loved Transistor, bounced completely off of the sportsball in Pyre, and burned out on Hades before I got anywhere near resolving the "main plot". [Meanwhile, I have the opposite experience to Fuco - I have no idea what supermassive games are].
Basically everyone I talk to within the gaming sphere, especially gamedev, knows who they are, it's definitely wild
pyre my beloved
honestly i wish people werent as deterred by the gameplay :(
i always pitch it as "you can simply lose every match" to people who dont like how the rites look LOL
I wish I wasn't as deterred by it when first seeing it. I just remember thinking, Oh it's kind of like a sports game, which I don't do so I think I'll pass. I regret it so because the game is darn good and it also let SGG fall off my radar and missed half of Hades' EA
What I love about their games is that you can clearly see how they build on and improve on mechanics introduced in previous titles. You can see in Hades mechanics and ideas from all 3 previous titles.
ikr!!
What stood out most to me from Pyre was the movement and it's reflected in Hades soo well. Also the pseudo heat system it has.
ive been a fan of supergiant since 2015 so not getting pyre when it came out wasnt even an option in my mind, and i ended up loving it sooo much
it was super exciting to me to actually play a sg game right when it comes out
I hadn't heard of SGG until Hades EA. I was so hyped to play it that I basically bought a switch just for Hades. I've now played it on ps4 and ps5 as well and have since picked up Transistor and Bastion as well, both absolute gems
I mean, it's not how they look, it's how they play. If there was an autobattle option (or even pseudo-turn-based like Transistor, the best ever SGG game)...
that is what i meant, yeah
even if its not your thing, looking past the "combat" its a fantastic game that instead of punishing you for losing, gives you a unique perspective on the story
i played an entire run where i lost every match and the story did not get any worse for sure. it was funny more than it was bad and you get to learn way more about the characters
and yeah, theres a lot of features that could have been added for people not into the gameplay, but the game has been out for a while so. alas
I probably feel as strongly about Transistor being beautiful as you do about Pyre (and I really am sad that it's turn-plan mechanic - and the granular positive and negative difficulty modifiers - didn't make it to more games)
transistor is also my favorite :P
im just sad pyre is so niche and overlooked bc its so good
Transistor is the GOAT, but y'all have got me interested in pyre. I'll pick it up when I'm done with my current backlog
I liked Pyre more than Transistor, I tried Transistor for a bit but did not like the combat at all
for me the combat is always secondary in story games. its true that bastion feels clunky now and transistor is hard to get used to and pyre is a sports game, and while i do like the gameplay in every supergiant games, im interested in the story first and foremost - and then gameplay
i have... a lot of hours on each sg game which would definitely not happen if the gameplay was bad/i didnt like it haha
now is the perfect time with the steam sale! :D
Locked to console 🥲but honestly, each SGG title has been worth full price and then some
hello, i have a question for y'all
is there anyone here, that was following the studio before the launch of hades
i need some information on the pre divulgation and launch of the game
for a work at my course
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-THgg8QnvU4JEVov1tMlFThNYS92F8uC this playlist is probably perfect for that!
oh nice thank you
Ironically, that was the thing that broke me when playing Hades: I was someone who took a long time to clear for the first time, and by that point I was very invested in all the side-plots that you can get involved in... and when you clear, all of the "plot conversations" get overloaded with Zag Main Plot stuff, which honestly, I'd stopped being invested in because I'd taken 106 runs to get this far and the main plot was kinda off my radar. (So I resented the plot from inserting itself aggressively into all the side-plots that I was far more interested in at that point.)
(One thing I would love Hades 2 to have would be a "which plot point do you want to progress with this conversation" toggle :D)
i can adapt to bad gameplay or gameplay i’m bad at as long as the story’s engaging. it’s harder to pull off in a format like hades since players progress at different paces. i can only imagine that’s something they’re taking note of for hades 2
All they need to do is add a way to pick which of multiple plot points you want to progess with a given character, and ideally a better-designed easy mode (god mode is a nice try, but it has design issues and they've had better difficulty controls in earlier SGG games...)
my only complaints for that would be
- makes the story seem to develop a little less organically, though it could probably work if done well
- doesn't really solve the problem of how spread out the story beats should be, whether for the main storyline or sidequests
I'm not sure how 1) is true - the issue for Hades which I'm trying to resolve here is that my Zag was deep into a series of conversations with Achilles about his subplot... and it made as much sense for him to continue talking with him (and especially with ||Patroclus on the other end of things||) about that as it would for him to progress the Zag-main-plot stuff. It explicitly felt forced that Zag immediately seemed to forget the thing he was invested in with Achilles here.
The story beat progression pacing is only a really significant issue for the main plotline, if it ||requires a clear each time to really progess||, and the solution to that is just better difficulty modes so people can all progress within a narrower range of time windows.
although it really depends on what the priority is for SGG: obviously, in the limit of "wanting perfect story beats for everyone", a run-based game would have to have very dynamic difficulty for everyone, which would arguably harm the "game" side of things; whilst a perfectly balanced run-based game can't, by definition, have the same progression for everyone.
imo the reason why having a "better-designed" easy mode is even a suggestion is bc god mode wasnt designed specifically as an easy mode in the first place. many people consider it one of course, but since supergiant's official suggestion of counteracting god mode's % is literally turning on the hard labor condition in the pact of punishment, i think its kind of a difficulty dial rather than straight up easy mode. like yes you will be taking less dmg with capped out god mode but. the only thing that is affected is the dmg you take. not how the enemies act, not how many spawn or anything, so i disagree that it is inherently an easy mode. at lower heat amounts, sure, the higher you climb though, no.
a LOT of people did request ways to reset god mode or freeze the % to some ideal point they found the game comfortable at, so i guess the better suggestion is expanding on the original with some further accessibility options maybe
I think more games need difficulty scaling like how Hades' is. Being able to customize different aspects of the game to be harder the more you progress is the most creative and fun way I've seen difficulty done in video games in a long time, maybe ever. Too many games focus on damage dealt/received
For example, making things cost more or having to purge a boon is a great difficulty replacement for people who feel like they aren't doing enough damage. It undeniably makes the game harder and makes you play the game differently, but doesn't gatekeep people who still want a more casual experience
Can't wait to see how it's expanded on in Hades 2
My specific suggestion is that they should just do what they did with Transistor, but have it unlocked from the start - have granular 'boosts' you can apply which mirror the difficulty enhancements that Heat gives you but in the opposite direction. Heat is just the mechanism that Transistor already had for difficulty increase, and I find it baffling that SGG didn't use the same thing for difficulty decrease as well...
(Which is, yes, basically what a lot of modern games have as part of their Assist Mode stuff.)
Just finish Hades and was wondering if Children of Morta or Moonlighter was something close to it?
Moonlighter not really, it lacks the deep combat but got a shop mechanic. And you‘ll miss the evolving story
Well I hear that many Roguelike dont have deep story so is hard to tops Hades story I pressume
sadly, nothing will fill the void
.
.
Formally submitting my request that SG make a fighting game
Like challenging yourself with every new title by doing something you've never done before? Do a competitive multiplayer game
Like to innovate? Find a way to marry competitive PvP with a strong narrative
It would be perfect and I would play nothing else. Thanks for hearing my proposal
Dear Super Giant, please release Hades II tomorrow thank you.
True!
lol
Pyre is this already
There's no narrative to the PvP in Pyre
Sure there is
I have yet to play it (is currently installed though!), but my understanding was that the PvP is a side thing
It is
Hard to argue it’s a side thing for some of us when we have hundreds of hours in the game and most was spent on PvP
Do you count the Jomuer Cup as a “Narrative”?
I can’t believe it’s been mostly radio silence on hades 2 for 6 months
They'll announce something when they're ready too but until then, let them cook
Just got lament of Orpheus in my game and holy it was beautiful
Hey I know I just joined but I just got an ad for this game
I think this is the right place to put this? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.managames.myththor
It's the biggest rip off of hades I've ever seen
The developers know i’m pretty sure, its been shared here before and it’s probably not a great idea to indirectly encourage people to look at it via sharing the link
But yeah its pretty silly
Reminds me of that one lotus knight game where its just the hollow knight art traced
supergiant is aware of this game, yes. its been around for a couple years
it's a shame for people who stole a masterpiece like this
Hades is such great game even copy of it looks good
Must still report that I just got an ad of this with several visible assets of Hades displayed on the thumbnail, such as the minotaur, same color palet and art style, beyond other things.
Came in here to try and report it but am glad to see people are aware of it. This is copyright infringiment in several levels. Hope supergiant can prosecute
Supergiant have always had the motto of showing what they got when it's ready.
it was the same deal for Hades as well after it's last early access update when things were quiet till BAM Shadow dropped on Switch and PC
Gamescom is next week
Don't know if they will be there, but maybe we'll get an announcement or something like that
Don't put too much into it but it would be a nice surprise
Yeah I'm not putting my hopes up
Imagine they hit us with the same trailer
sometimes i remember the “remember the bastion” medley exists and its so good you guys
it is!
the ending when its setting sail/coming home and more of build that wall
I love the change from spike on a rail (which is beautiful on it's own) to setting sail
Does anyone have insider info on hades 2?
No
No
Right around the corner
My inside sources (my brain) tells me that based on the gay (affectionate) presented in hades the level of gay in hades 2 will be equal if not greater
*I have no actual knowledge of the level of gay (affectionate) in Hades 2
My insider sources have told that this is, in fact, a sequel to the popular game "Hades"
It will, in fact, have characters based on Greek mythology
😱
I'm not supposed to tell y'all this but there might be dialogue in Hades 2!
Ya'all have it all wrong, it's a gacha tcg
With desync multiplayer autochess gameplay

Nightmare timeline
Hey anyone else here going to Pax West? i'm wondering if people would be interested in a fan/cosplay meetup for all things supergiant
@me if you are
guys ... don't quote me on this but there might be characters in hades 2.....
yall idk about this bur i have this weird feeling okay its kinda crazy but
theres this rumor
its produced
by supergiant games
im new to hades is there a way to upgrade weapons?
Yes, but you don’t have access to it immediately
[Blood and darkness], I saw SuperGiant posted on their Instagram page for the first time since January, saw the Hades logo and thought there was news on the sequel
But I guess the Vinyl reissues are cool to those that care

Painful to those who care with how fast they sell, always seems like they press ten of them
I managed to snag them, I’m really happy
Nice
Well done they’re few of my vgm grails love the soundtracks
literally counting down the minutes, set 3 alarms, and missed the bastion cael yellow edition 😭
Would love to get the bastion one but no money and nowhere to play it
still not sure if it was an error due to getting it too early bc there is no way they got sold out in less than a minute… right…?
Either way I still ordered them already so
I was sat there on BSR from 59 and from 17:00 it was cart error all the way
That’s how I missed out on all the original pressings didn’t think they’d be this rare
I’m hoping for a reissue of the other ones, especially the songs of supergiant one. Just… not this soon… my wallet
They defo didn’t have many on BSR, but the iam8bit took 15 minutes to sell out
ahhh maybe it was an error. Oh well
im so sad i didnt get any
:(
Rip o7
my supergiant vinyl collection remains 0
i almost bought the hollow knight ones when they came back in sale but they were expensive and i jind of regret not getting jt
i need more game soundtracks)!
Oh i could get bastion
Wonder how many of them were resellers
No Supergiant @ Gamescom
But I met a Melinöe Cosplayer today
you guys can vinyl??
eh, if nothing else i know my older bro either has or will one day buy hades' ost on vinyl
I got the 10th anniv vinyls like ages ago but it was when hades just started development, so it had only one hades single record
And my sg collection knows no bounds. Forever lamenting that I wasn’t into bastion when the scumbag plushie was around, because I want it to bad
what supergiant plushies are floating around anyway
transistor's the last of the 4 games i've yet to beat
the ones in fangamer, the tizo plushie which I think is no longer being sold, and the elusive scumbag
I need it
do not throw scumbag
instead, throw ti'zo like a grenade, he'll be ok
wapow
i have the scumbag, i got him on the second run. he's shaped like a friend
FRIEND!!
proof
do not the scumbag
Anyone know what the best way to be alerted of future vinyl represses? I just found out hades got repressed on iam8bit yesterday and is already sold out 😭 it Doesn't look like any heads up was given on email lists or even this discord in advance 😦
On twitter the supergiant social account doesn't post too often but will always retweet announcements like that, so if you follow them and turn notifications on for everything you can get news when it becomes available, thats how I keep up to date
Did Supergiant's Facebook get hacked?
I think it's 'just' a bootleg account that's doing the commenting
he is shaped like a friend
Never truer words have been spoken
Does anyone know how often the fangamer store gets restocked? I’ve been dying to get my hands on Red’s Empty Set poster and it says restock planned
i found this on fangamer's website:

for anyone who may need it
I clicked on the Displate website and was wondering if they are even allowed to be using the Hades artwork (and other Supergiant artwork) for their products? It looks to me a lot of artwork has been stolen on this site.
Some of the listings I've found on their site:
https://displate.com/displate/6200142
Beautiful 'Hades' Poster Print by A L A Y A ✓ Printed on Metal ✓ Easy Magnet Mounting ✓ Worldwide Shipping. Buy online at DISPLATE.
Beautiful 'Hades' Poster Print by anjas aji ✓ Printed on Metal ✓ Easy Magnet Mounting ✓ Worldwide Shipping. Buy online at DISPLATE.
Apologies if this is not the correct place to discuss this ^^
Yeah, Displate are notorious thieves
Really disappointing to hear - a channel I was watching promoted them and I got suspicious seeing what looked like fanart on the website. Spotting Jen Zee's art was the tipping point
they do have official, licensed collections. no idea why they allow blatant art theft though
hello?
sorry about that, someone was spamming pings. banned

who just ghost pinged me?
how did he even got permission
Dang, I was hoping for a Hades II announcement or something haha
whomst've pinged me
that was quite epic
Must’ve been a naughty shade
A ping? Hm. Indeed. I have lurked long enough.
proceeds to lurk more until Hades 2 comes out in some form or fashion
i died when i saw that it was just a ghost ping and not hades 2 news
no hades 2 news means the void i must return
sorry about that, we had someone come by spamming role pings earlier
Also dead and sad, but it happens, no worries
what did jen zee make the character art with?
Um, guys, which engine did SG use to make their game on again?
Not unity
Thank gods
I swear super giant as a company and game development studio, do things so bang on.
10/10 work every step of the way.
SGG uses their own engine but i dont know the details besides that
Highly custom monogame engine, ported to C++ and also use LUA scripts to manage progress and story wise decisions.
It also uses modules from a modular engine, but I cant remember the name now heh
Mostly for LUA which was pretty unoptymised in early development of Hades, they improved it a lot thanks to 3rd party engine devs to make it multi core and that allowed them to run these heavy scripts on low clocked 4 core switch
So we can say, that they just use what they need at current project
With mix of own tools
Got it!
They also use renderer (and the LUA engine) by The Forge

Hello
Don't you think that MK1 has a moment with the soundtrack from Bastion?
I know I've never talked in this server before, but I just wanna make my appreciation known for the amazing OSTs y'all have made
<3

there are genuinely no bad songs
every single one fits a unique mood
Good riddance by eurydice is so angelic
Hello, I really want to play Hades, does anyone here have any game keys left?
Thank you very much in advance!
theres no need to post it in 3 channels, but i also doubt anyone in this server just has keys laying around
Sorry for sending it to 3 channels, it doesn't hurt to try your luck. I really want to play, but I can't afford to buy
I hope someone here has
I understand that it's a significant request, but I promise you, it would mean the world to me. I'm not one to ask for favors lightly, and I genuinely appreciate your consideration. If there's any way you could help me get a copy of hades, I would be beyond grateful. It's a game I've been dreaming of playing, and I'm eager to embark on this adventure. Thank you so much for even considering it!
you could try your luck on game gifting subreddits
do you have any link?
r/giftofgames
or you could save up and wait for a sale if possible
its gone down to 50% before on steam
and there is a sale in 2 months approximately
Ok, I'll try to classify in other places. Because I really want to play
Thanks @olive hull
Ok so my head is doing things:
What if World of Warcraft but in the Downside, with a frontier civilization establishing itself
So kinda a bridge between Pyre and Bastion in styles
But also an ARPG?
With classes, areas and stuff
Ok probably more Diablo/poe than wow, but yeah full world arpg in pyre
Mostly for the beauty of it
I'm down with it but only if you solve every problem with fantasy variants of sports
Assuming this would be a sequel not so long in the future ||the rites would be gone as a mandatory thing||
Yeah, it's basically a Hades but in a semi open world
Long time has passed, and part of the commonwealth tries to expand into the Downside either for resources, adventure, pilgrimage or escaping justice/start anew
Each rite site becomes a shrine that attracts people of each folk, with their respective town built nearby
My current idea is really based on classic wow experience, but with a Hades ARPG execution
People do still play basketball for fun though
28 STAB WOUNDS!!!

nice (:
No one has ever had fun playing basketball I think
Magic basketball is fun
basketball is much more fun if you get sent to hell every time you score
more incentive to do half court shots
Or gain enough wisdom that you can say no to being sent to hell
Hi, I'm looking for a press email re: Hades II. Could someone point me in the right direction? :)
the easiest way to reach the supergiant team is via the 'contact us' form on their website, here: https://www.supergiantgames.com/contact/, or by their twitter account @/supergiantgames
I saw they were on sale and never bought anything faster in my life. now I really wish pyre was on switch
maybe if we all pool our money we can fund a pyre switch port
Ypoo literally my lineup except Pyre which I got for Steam
I have (and played) all of them already on steam

Your answer to the question can be found here
What
That doesn't look sus at all
@olive hull oh moderator (questionsable behavior/seems like scamming)
oh no i accidentally reacted to it. nobody saw that
Me on my way to apply for gameplay engineer with zero professional gamedev experience
^
^
I made mods for Pyre does that count
Yes
Given they actually went into the Hades speedrunning discord's nodding section to post about the job opening I'd say modding a SGG game does absolutely count
Supergiant really gonna make me get into indie game development so I can have the experience they want
Do it!
Pyre modders unite
Just applied
Gl
would be cool if supergiant offered internships
have some student perspective in their workforce (like me
)
Probably can't risk y'all eating all the dim sum
what is the supergiant part of sgg
is it because the games are really big, being "super-giant"
is the supergiant some kind of mascot
are they the super giants
Given their logo's a star, maybe it's a reference to a type of star
supergiant stars are stars that are super super big
The ones that go supernova when they die
i love stars and reading about them. kinda disappointed that betelgeuse wasn't going supernova back when it dimmed
maybe try saying it three times
Hmm
.
tomarrow im getting the steam deck and hades :D
Supergiant should consider releasing hades on mobile platforms
The game's pretty light for a PC game
I mean you could put aid and call on the two top corners, something to control on the lower left and dash attack cast special on the lower right (or you can simply connect a controller to your phone)
