#transistor

B is supposed to be red
but here in the game it's green
hell - all the buttons are backwards
i know this game is past it's prime and SGGs have a lot of other things going on right now, but
man
i wish this port got some more love
how do i press
on a mobile port of a 10 years old game?
it's actually 10 years old now...
Listening to the Transistor sound track while studying for finals - I forgot how GOOD it is
it's going through it's 8 remaining recursions, don't worry
Hey all, I'm new to Transistor and am a little confused by one mechanic. It seems like (sometimes) I'm able to squeeze in an additional action at the end of my Turn(), assuming that action is 50-75+% covered by amount of space I have left in that Turn(). I figured it would be more precise than that. Is there some kind of penalty I'm incurring by going "over capacity"? Or is the game just magically finding ways to trim down my walking paths in that Turn() to get me the extra space I need?
Maybe this was covered in a tutorial early on in-game...I took a break for several months and am coming back with barely any idea what's going on...
nah - it's all intended
if you have at least 1% turn left you can squeeze in any action there
so it's encouraged to end your command combo with one big attack at the end
Ohhhh cool! Thank you
there is some penalty in that it extends recovery time iirc
the recovery time is what it would have taken had the bar been "as long" as what you used
Yo
For real?
It’s been a while since I’ve done a proper run in transistor
It seems… reasonable
And I do remember some turns taking a bit longer before the bar starts recharging
yeah that's the cause, just tested it out
But - you know - it’s been a while
Cool
I mean - I could test it too but
1 - I’m
2 - it runs at 30 at the only device I have atm
Seriously though
I wish this mobile port got some more love
i have the game open from testing some stuff for speedruns x)
A single patch that gets it up to 60 and fixes the xinput button mappings
Actually
This gives me an idea
So you probably remember weeds, right ?
Those weird tentacle monsters that deal damage only if you get close to them
I remember there being a way to make them multiply
There was this one absolute mad lad on YouTube that somehow multiplied them so much they covered an entire arena
Then used crash() on them and it actually… crashed the whole damn game
I wonder how that would look like on ios
FOUND IT!
Ok so it’s not crash()
It’s tap()
Yeah I guess the game did tap() out
This is wonderful
The final frame is glorious
psh crashing the game
make it make an error message instead :D
(die while going through a transition)
(the duplication is interesting tho)
I have a mighty need to see this, it sounds hillarious
the delay between the crash and the showing of the error window is just me changing windows in recording
(You get to activate the fight while still being able to interact with the firewall due to a previous glitch, a save displacement)
That's hillarious tyvm jen!
no worries!
i think the crash technically happens from having a turn active while entering a transition? not 100% on that
i know a hard death doesn't crash
Just remembered I reviewed this just over 10 years ago, really enjoyed the game
My video review of the superb new RPG from Supergiant studios, the developers of Bastion.
Mood
Paper boats is so good
yeah
||also, the final shot made me tear up||
anyways another banger from supergiant
People playing previous supergiant games after hades
After hades I went through a supergiant games marathon lol
All of their games are incredible, and its really cool seeing how they build on each other
25 seconds · Clipped by Lactose_Cow · Original video "The Baffling Lore of Nicktoons Unite" by Quinton Reviews
Anyone else think he sounds a lot like royce bracket
Totally! I love how all the themes keep building off each other.
wait why can I kinda hear it lmao
When I first saw SpongeBob, I thought to myself, I though wow. That's someone the Camerata needs.
Anniversary soon 🤤
i remember i was waiting hades to release on PS4, and was so hyped that i bought transistor just to ease my hype for supergiant games lmao
always heard great things about that one and bastion, even before hades
now I'm loving pyre too
Hell yeah
(for reference anniversary is exactly <t:1716076800:f>
)
ah
the anniversary of my first SGG dissapointment
nah im just kidding - i love transistor
but BOY did i have performance issues on launch
they fixed it like a day or two later and then transistor qiickly became my fave
transistor still breaks when i alt tab. also red stopped singing for a few seconds during the final song which was funny
just hope it didn't happen to anyone on their first playthrough lol
does it just pause or full break?
when i tab out and back, the resolution changes
huh
It's the Process working while you're not looking!
i wonder if that soft lock during the last bossfight still exists
it does still in the speedrun patch (pretty close to the latest patch)
very rare but hard locks the save
made backup saves for marathon running just in case it happenned
||still haven't got over that ending 😭 it was so shocking||
couldn't believe when i saw it
||one of the few times I started shouting no no no no at the screen||
||yeah, i could never see that coming 😭 i was shouting along with the sword at that point||
i like the ending and im sad that hearing people disliked it made me wait another year until i got it
it feels very significant and not just something for shock value
idk why they disliked it. it made perfect sense to the story that was being told at that point
it's not necessarily something that the game builds up but it was a pretty meaningful conclusion to their arc
agreed
i already talked about on stream but i feel like my thoughts were pretty incoherent. because i was crying. lol
but its another moment of red showing her personality (and defiance, and her wants) - shes not really just a mute protagonist you can project on, despite not saying anything throughout the game - her actions, her songs, her background etc. all indicate a very distinct character. the ending just makes me think about all that and how its just her choice and not a moment the player gets to do anything about. its very linear, but that aligns with her as well
even the last test you get in the backdoor is called "agency test"
I look at it in a slightly different way
At first - yeah I thought it was pointlessly cheesy
Red makes a decision to off herself because she can’t live without her man
It seemed like a bit of a cliche “love conquers all” thing
BUUUUUTTTT
Then I played ng+
And then it all made sense
It’s not that red killed herself cause she liked Romeo and Juliet a bit too much lol
It’s because cloudbank via the transistor works like a recursive function
Everyone’s dead - they’re on that deeper layer
And here there’s only red and an empty city of cloudbank
So
Let’s jump in and join everyone else and start from the scratch
And hopefully not make the same mistakes that led to this mess
So yeah
I like it
It’s way more reasonable while still not diminishing the emotional impact of this ending

Good jorb
now i get that my reading of it was too surface level lmao
i simply saw it as her finishing what was undone, and once royce is down, she can finally make a decision out of free will and get with the only person that matters to her
wdym by reasonable?
Because ng+ exists and it’s called a recursion
Cloudbank is a simulated city, more or less
Think matrix or something
And if red really couldn’t stand being without blue…
She might’ve made that decision at any point, instead of going through all this revenge plot or whatever
Meanwhile - everyone else already is inside the transistor
For you - the player - they’re visualized as functions
yeah i didnt see it like that at all - there is no one left for her, and unlike royce, shes not content to stay in an empty city even if she could rebuild and change it however she wants
theres also the point that the "real life" rules dont affect cloudbank - i know the "its all digital/simulated" angle is a contentious topic but i think yeah, digital or not it has different rules and implications. and whether the country is inside the transistor, a digital afterlife or the "outside" i definitely see it as a kind of death and its referred to as such
a "mild and inoffensive" death
So now that red knows the truth and knows how the transistor works (after royce explained her everything) she just decided to jump in and start over with everyone else
idk if it was a revenge plot? there's a few dialogues that point to it being "i'll try to get you back to human again" kinda thing
Yeah well - you know what I mean
i think that's a big jump to go from "there has to be a way to get you out of there" to a revenge plot kinda thing
It’s not death
Royce says it himself “funny thing about the transistor - you can get in but you can’t get out”
They’re not dying
They’re going though another recursion
It’s a loop of sorts
Which SGGs like in their stories lol
it makes perfect sense to me that it in fact was a "love conquers all" thing
ur kinda right lol bastion and transistor and hades all have their different sort of loops. pyre is the only game that feels so decisively final. i like that
i haven't finished pyre yet, am i gonna cry like in this one 😭
please tell me i won't

i remember people theory crafting in a comment section about a possible pyre sequel xdd
ik i have to win them all to get a good ending right
But there is a much more reasonable explanation to her decision - considering how the world works there
i would love more pyre, but i dont want a sequel at all... but its an echoed sentiment that the story of the scribes is interesting enough for a prequel. thinking about it now i do like how it is entirely on its own and how its presented. a lot of room for interpretation and imagination
pure
pyre would work wonders as a novel, gn or animated tv show
anyways I'm getting offtopic rn
transistor you made me cry
Well
Space jam already exists
also it's funny because i went into transistor expected a light-hearted game after playing hades
only for it to break me
that's
Ouch
ouch indeed
And I loved this more somber, sturdy tone of the game
i also dont think theres such a thing as a definitively good ending for pyre, i think its just what you chose throughout the story eventually coming to consequences. there are so many different variations and "endings". N E way i wont spoil too much i would love to see what you think about your game when you finish it
Tbh I got lucky with transistor
HOW IN THE F did my phone correct “mature” to “sturdy”?
I meant mature
I’m gonna chuck this thing at a wall I swear
autocorrect will be autocorrect. its messing up big time for me lately too
With the other games I got scared for any "bad endings" that I searched what to do
They still broke me mind you
But transistor was the one I didn't do that
Anyways
Seeing what they did in transistor made me wish for an SGG horror game
I’ve been begging for it for almost a decade now lol
that actually sounds pretty interesting
Monopoly money doesn’t count
if they did a space game I'd love if it was something like supergirl woman of tomorrow
that comic reminded me a lot of pyre
But yeah
I hope hades 2: melenoe boogaloo goes well enough to fund a horror game
pretty please with cherry on top
i also remember Greg talking about her motives and how it was initially "blue goes on a quest to bring her back" before role reversing the story
at least initially it absolutely was about bringing usboyfriend back
is that in the noclip doc bc its been a while since i watched it
jen zee if ur out there.. thank you for inventing women
what too much Klimt does to an artist
Based lol
i remember the concept of red with the sword was so strong that they entirely changed the concept of the game because of it
which is what they mentioned up there. it was supposed to be about blue
same happened with hades, the first concept for that kind of fell apart
I’ve never seen a game trailer with such a strong sense of character and identity
… until the trailer for phantom fury

oh i remember some interview or concept art thingie or whatever where they said that the transistor was initially a suitcase
may i ask about early hades stuff? is there a video that dives into that?
not too deep into hades rabbit hole yet
glad you asked because yes, there's a video specifically about this
more than one in fact. even articles
This Hades documentary details the development of the indie game Hades and goes behind the scenes of its creation. Discover how Supergiant Games, the creators of Bastion, Transistor and Pyre, prioritized a transparent and inclusive development process before they even had the idea for their first roguelike dungeon-crawler. The documentary also e...
ohhh i rmember now
tis in my watch later playlist
if you ever find that interview pls send it right here
a suitcase is new to me and i really wanna hear/see it
i played around four missions and it was so funny
Oh yeah so hitman is this series about… a hitman
And it’s been pretty serious in presentation in the early days, but absolutely comical in gameplay
Since you had so many different obscure tools to take out your targets
Anyways - in newer games they decided to double down on those comical aspects and started leaving in bugs and other goofy stuff
yeah i played a bit of world of assassination and it was amazing
Not because it played well or was balanced
But because they’re were absolutely hilarious
It’s a slapstick comedy at points
Yeah I’ve been a fan of hitman since hitman 2
The original one from 2002
And seeing it change from this artistic series with religious undertones to…
Austin powers
Has been amusing, to say the least
I think they’re found the right balance between moody, mature, serious tone and player-driven chicanery
Anyways
Transistor, I guess
Who’s the most annoying enemy in the game and why is it the man?
And his haircut
Wtf
nope
oh yeah man and the hair thing were the most annoying enemies in gaming
haircuts are terrible (just like real life!) but men are so easy to deal with (just unlike real life!) its just a little slow and repetitive
he's managable but i hated youngladies with every fibre of my soul
I mean - I find them easier to deal with in ng+
because you pick them off one by one with turn and thats it
this is so accurate I'm pretty sure is the thought process they took when developing this game
it makes so much sense
Void() + tap() + purge() my beloved
Spark and those bubbly bombs
asher and grant just always go togther 😔
Just zoop around the arena for free while farting out bombs everywhere
Cull() is still my most used function pretty sure
Idunno
If they wanted men to be easy to deal with they would’ve given us a beer() function
||i loved killing Royce in exactly 3 turns when i figured out cull on my second playthrough||
A streamer asked for help one time and their reaction to cull + void was hilarious
xdd
I loved not killing Royce when he softlocked and just stood there menacing nearby air
is there a clip by any chance?
taught me everything i know ...
if nobody got me i know transistor guides got me
In hindisight it was less funny
Also swearing
also
it's very, very unlikely but i hope we get her sword in hades 2
it'd be so cool
Might need this when I replay transistor, because I was just doing random stuff on my first playthrough I think😭
yeahh, I doubt it, but this would genuinely be sooo cool!!
and bastion boy's hammer too
void, my favorite function gotten from my favorite character
yessss!!
speaking of i love the bastion easter egg in transistor in the form of the hammers
Fr tho, the aura mechanic of Pyre is really fun lol
and olmarq... i wonder if thats actually the kid's name LOL
sorry reply to old comment from an hour ago
isn't that the same thing if you believe in an afterlife irl (i personally don't, but the idea isn't exactly uncommon)
well
we could go on for hours about beliefs and afterlife and what not
but my point is
at that point red had proof
physical proof that there is stuff after death - inside the transistor
instead of just believing and hoping for the best
yeah true that does make a difference
i think in the end it comes to what greg said it was the very concept of the game, a sci-fi love story
it wouldn't have made sense for her to take any other decision considering it's a love story in its core. that she wants to be with blue
i don't think she'd just move on with things as they were in that way
i mean yeah but i prefer to not bring up the dev commentary in this discussion
tis a game that can be interpreted a lot of ways and it boils down not to dev interviews but to what the player focused on while playing
yeah i know their intention was never to reduce it to a single interpretation and that's never how you should approach any story in fiction. i meant mostly the "love" theme being what drives this game as a whole
i see it as a love story to it's core but if you focus on socio-political commentary that's great if you enjoy that aspect more
which is very appropriate
yep, but even then it can be seen by some people as a "sloppy backdrop"
i agree but also will latch to any crumb of dev information because i want to know the original intent vs how i interpret it
tho i know from discussions that greg doesnt like giving too much information about the storys meanings and canon that can be up to interpretation
i respect it, gives it even more of a life of its own
i mean if there's a supergiant game not to give too much information on tis Transistor
i'm really into vague/artsy/abstract etc media so it really clicked with me
yeah and its one of the biggest strenghts that its story is so open ended. if there's one game of theirs that doesn't need further explaining, it's this one
it really pissed me off when i saw some people pretty much begging for the developers of a certain game to remove the ambiguous nature of its ending. like why the hell do you want that
akvarel out of curiosity, what are some of your other fave games that fit that description
but i'm not gonna lie it clicked even more when my interpretation aligned with the intentionally planted message
i loved how you see the relationship between Red and Auden play out throughout the game
i feel like not a lot of games focus on romantic love?
games?
yeah the game doesn't really focus on their relationship on the story itself, but at the same time, that's what the whole game is about
yeah games, sorry i didnt specify, but id be interested in other media too
there's not that many that i can think of that fit the description, mostly it's in other media yeah
Death Stranding as one example, i guess?
loved the experience from start to finish
the boy and the heron is by far one of the best examples of this
mostly vague storytelling but at the same time filled with meaning
you fine with anime recomendations?
i haven't played gris but doesn't that one fit this premise?
Gris absolutely
i gotta play gris at some point
me definitely not having >600hrs in it 😅
you have 600 hours on gris? omg
yes i love artsy vague stuff
I speedrun it
ohhh okay makes sense
Haibane Renmei is my favourite anime i love it so much
Mononoke (the series) is very good
i definitively recommend the boy and the heron
all of my to-watch is abstract artsy... i can link my anilist in #tv-and-movies
sure
the thing is, I don't think any ending in gaming could compare to transistor to me
nothing was quite like this
maybe there are a lot but I'm having a hard time remembering it
As much as I would love a Transistor sequel or any additional content, the ambiguity of it all is part of what makes the game so memorable to me.
if they were to expand on this universe, it couldn't be around red or blue
yep
transistor 2: red vs blue
Royce Royce Royce Royce Roy-
An animated series would be gorgeous..
Hypothetical Camerata content, my beloved.
i want to hear sunkrish bala again in another sg game PLEASEPLEASE PLEASE
Royce’s voice is soooo good
SGG is superb at finding the perfect voice actors
No spoilers here obviously but they’ve already done an INSANE job at hades 2 voice actors
i know pyre is not english VA or full VA but its still. very cool
As always shoutout to the unused voice line where he's so disappointed you are dragging the transistor around
so real and true
since netflix already collabed with sgg, maybe an animated series isn't that far fetched
I think pyre would fit an animated series best
But any would be cool
Hades live action remake
Tom Holland as Zag
Pyre series about the scribes
The Rock as bouldy
That would be sick
A pyre prequel would def work way better than a sequel
i disagree
pyre is so focused on your choices and gameplay
i think that transistor prequel would be the best tbh
Yeah exactly, a series doesn’t have to just retell the story
I meant more in art style and how well it would transition between mediums
hear me out
a bastion prequel
set 50 years back
focused on the ura-caelondia war
where you play as rucks
commiting...
some serious crimes
he did some Stuff
oh hey
this... this could be that fabled SGG horror game i've been on about for so long

also twas very nice seeing transistor chat this active today, keep it up chat :)

that's cause alma streamed it and i was there to annoy them and it just snowballed from here lmao
alma streamed it?? i didn't see 😭 shame
and ill do it again
jk i should move to any other game. but i post my streams in selfpromo
Good to know!
stream ion fury
it's good!
don't stream phantom
it's... not gud
I agree that Pyre is the one that is the most impossible to separate from being a game. That's why it would be the one I'd be the most hyped if it had an animated show, it would mean they would be forced to make something different.
Slice of life magical basketball in purgatory let's go
also - a linear pyre story would alienate A LOT of people because everyone would have their own picks as to who should go first
and then a pyre movie would have its own set and only a few people would go like "ayyy - my fave character is free!"
and everyone else would riot
this is where doing a pyre prequel story might work better - a story of the commonwealth, maybe of the scribes
That’s what I was trying to say
pyre prequel would work real well, i think. Since its pretty set what happened. I'd also love to see my girl Sandra being a badass
does anyone know where i can find official art of sybil without that red filter over her? im trying to draw her but im at a loss when it comes to coloring in my lineart
oh wait the link just shows the reddish pic again
but the second pic on the wiki doesn't have the filter
ahhh tyty!!
It's so beautiful, I always get back to it every couple of months, it's amazing!^^
all of transistors music is just amazing
paper boats is incredible
though i must admit my second favourite supergiant song must be the Careless Whisper cover from their London acoustic set
xdd
yep
YES it is so good
Careless Whisper is transistor-coded now, whatever version I hear
TRUEEE it goes so hard
literally. think about it all the time
but i also like she shines and signals a lot ngl... even tho they arent in the game....
She shines
it goes unbelievably hard
you can feel the pure energy of the moment
everyone was having a great time and you can feel it
coasting into careless whisper my belover
is there a non yellow filter version of the Red file
(a fool's query)
i dont think its a filter
my guess is that every portrait was drawn with the limited palettes
ya thats what i meant initially
but it was like the middle of the night and i was sleepy
whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat it can be active????? gosh darn it I missed sm
it is, kinda
I mean I don't know why I didn't set the notifs for this channel to be every message
more alive than usual for sure + the 10 year anniversary's soon
I just...,,,,, forget this feature exists lol
usually it's the opposite (disabling that from small servers the owners of which forgot to do that themselves
)
i have notifs turned off pretty much everywhere on discord except for this channel xdd
WAIT RIGHT WHEN
in like 2 weeks
what the cradle
and just when I thought this year couldn't get any better
OK THIS WILL SO COME IN HANDY I-
remember to check pins, kids
Love those. 😭
will i make something for the 10 year anniversary ? (wish i could say yes but time says no)
uwaaah:(
you were asking for the original red art with no filter the other day, I thought you wanted to draw her again
I just really liked that art
It's such a beautiful ost, especialy paper boats, love that one sm!:D
waterwall hummed my beloved
This should be coasting

twisted transistor by Korn
Pyre 2 first 🔫
Is really good but also very, very different
Is still my fav game from them but I understand is not for everyone
they're on Resistor right now
as in - they're resistin' the pressure of making a sequel lmao
Tbf hades was the easiest game to make a sequel out of narrative wise
The answer is to simply make a sequel that involves all the games - the Supergiant multiverse. /j
Super Giant Bros
It’s amazing
Disney buys supergiant and milks their universes
truly Worst Ending
well their first game was published under warner bros so
I'd love that tbh
Finally someone else who likes the combat in Transistor
did people not like it?
Are they permanently done with transistor merch?
Its a common opinion
is it though?
Yeah
I liked as well..it was clean
Breach is my fave, it's so satisfying
no SG will make Hades 3 the persphone farming sim
I'd be fine if they were done with sequels. We don't really need a Transistor 2, not even sure how they'd do it since the mechanics of T. started with the events of the game, and ended with the game.
I'd really like for them to get back to story filled self-contained games. With rich music and art. Like Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre.
Just my opinion tho
tbh i agree, the story is done
i just like the combat and just general feel
rogue-lite mode would work well with transistor combat i think
i love the combat but it get repetitive on your sixth playthrough when you have everything unlocked and figured out
transistor-like combat solves the problem high heat hades runs into of there being untenably many fast moving hitboxes and poor ways of defending/avoiding and most importantly few ways of kiting/clearing the enemies efficiently
The problem I found with transistor combat (as someone who loves the game) is that it's so easy to just fall into a set of move builds and just, not change them enough to figure out other variations
true true. once you get the real time builds its hard to go back
agreed
yup, i'd love anything that'd force me to change up the build
Yeah credit where credit is due
They tried to make your biggest combos overheat when losing a health bar just to force you to use other stuff
A for effort
C for execution though because halfway through the game I just treated it as a single health bar and just started reloading checkpoints every time I lost a stack lol
I still love the game though
i actually was really motivated to change builds frequently to unlock lore
yes! but only if it has mp madgecute
After playing so many times, I would switch builds just to 100% all the function combinations
Isn’t there like 3000 of them or something ?
i meant more like checking off the lists of combinations
not like actually playing with every function combination possible because that is not feasible
i cant find my old image tho
If anybody can do it, it's you!
oh its very small because i guess i deleted it from imgur but this is every function's page with a ✅ under every function ive used with them (which is all of them)
it was a run dedicated to that. maybe more than one
The humming in Hades II is so... 😭 😭 😭 😭
I KNOW RIGHT? Also the way Mel holds one of the weapons reminds me of Red dragging the Transistor around a lot
||yeah the axe||
I KNOW

That’s the second most pixelated switch I’ve seen today
I just want to poke my head in here to say I'm loving hades 2 and I love hades a lot and I often feel like I'm the only guy in the United States who loved Pyre but Transistor is my one true love and I will never, ever forget this game and I probably need to do another playthrough. The music. The gameplay. The just-cryptic-enough worldbuildings. All my love, forever.
Started this game not expecting Hades 2 to release. I've absolutely loved it so far, but its hard to play more of it when Hades 2 is so good! Can't want to go back to it though. I want to make a video essay on it. Honestly its such a unique and special game.
Transistor is a super short game anyways lol
Transistor makes me emotional
Omfg
i JUST discovered that in the turn puzzle (at the very start, the only "puzzle" in the game really), if you just keep interacting with one of the two plates, eventually it opens up
without using turn
incredible
LOL yeah
transistor is a piece of art, it's something special to me
If it makes you feel better, it’s not nearly as long as Hades 😆
One of the Hades 2 bosses made me feel like I was playing Transistor again with the background vocals. Absolutely loved it 😊
sirens haha
Yeah I was being vague to avoid spoilerish things 😆
Bosses with vocals in their themes tend to be my favourites in any game they're present in
The second boss right? That’s about as far as I’ve gotten and that was my first thought as well.
It’s challenging but in a different way. It’s a slower game where you have time to think out what you want to do with the time slow mechanic.
Yup!
are there like endgame things? new game plus?
Im not sure. I've been too obsessed with the sudden drop of Hades 2 to finish it! Can't wait to go back though.
There is a new game plus from what i remember but it’s more about story and atmosphere than constant fights like hades
Highly recommend if that’s what you are looking for though
i think it's the easiest SGG game by far
it's certainly the shortest one
the biggest challenge here comes from thinking with portals but with... functions
as in - once this system clicks for you and you change your mindset accordingly then it's smooth sailing from there
and NG+ is just a victory lap where you can get repeats of certain functions and just go wild with them
the actual biggest challenge is trying not to get too emotional (I personally failed
)
^
definitely the easiest one to break (||void(cull, tap)|| wins the game)
can get tough if you use all limiters though
but that goes for bastion and pyre too, they aren't hard at all unless you enable idols or titan stars
actually - i can do 10 limiters run without breaking a sweat
bastion though?
the best i did was 7 idols
and my ass is still sore from how hard it got kicked lol
I still don't have the 10 idol achievements lol
i used guides for the loadouts but i did it
You gotta run Pike + Mortar for 10 idols! It's very nearly unnegotiable
but not in casual play
nah nah nah
if i can't beat 10 idols with my beloved machette + musket then im not doing it
strangers dream only to die in last wave
Whould love to see combat remake and maybe more story of this game. Anyone know if devs were even considering it?
im pretty sure they're neck-deep in hades right now
wait that came out wrong...
you know what i mean
Yea, was thinking in like future, 2 or 3 years
When they are done with Hades 2 and have to start new project
Hades 3
no channel can escape the name of hades
there's a very cool transistor callback in the way the main character carries the axe weapon in hades 2 (and tbh that weapon feels real similar)
Re-listening the 10 anniversary orchestral show at PAX on youtube and... I just love Ashley Barrett's songs from Transistor
I mean, I love every Korb/Barrett's song, but the Transistor ones are among the best.
Just today started playing transistor
The sword is sexy
Ope
My gf agrees she wants to boink the sword
Ouchy
I joined this server so that I could give feedback for the Hades 2 early access but I figured while I'm here I may as well gush about Transistor, which is one of my favorite games of all time. I bought it twice and have played through it a BUNCH of times, I still think about it constantly. Every one of supergiant's titles is incredible, no other game studio has a hit rate like this, but transistor has lived in my head rent free from the day i first booted it. My favorite video game soundtrack hands down, absolutely beautiful visual art, a fascinating story whose ending is open to interpretation. All of this not to mention the really engaging way that programs layer on top of one another and combine. What an unbelievable marvel of a game.
i played transistor for the first time this winter and i’m with you on everything. the psuedo turn based gameplay was really fun and much chiller than i’m used to, especially coming from hades. i want to get a poster + darren korb’s probably going to one of my top artists of the year
So true and same. I really enjoy Hades 1/2 but transistor is special and I wish it got more love
The music in Oceanus really makes me wanna replay Transistor.
Especially when dragging around the axe.
I'm so happy we get to hear Ashley hum again
I still regularly dream of finding a new secret or a new area. I don't think I'll ever stop.
based opinion + shadowheart profile picture even more based
oh yeah now that I'm back on my Hades bs i should dig up my artemis avatar again thank you for the reminder hahaha
Im gonna have to as well. I nearly started crying the first time i got to that area. Transistor holds a dear dear place in my heart
it's so lovely for the ambiance
I’m glad other Transistor fans perked up hearing Ashley humming in another supergiant game, it instantly made me want to boot up my switch and replay Transistor lol
it honestly felt like coming home
That makes the already stellar soundtrack even better
Honestly I thought I was just imagining things lol
setting sail even
My favorite SG games. Thank you for making it!
Such a wonderful song
I knew the song already, but when I got to it in the game... Damn, hit me like a freight train.
Hecking context, eh! Really lends the long some oomph
10th anniversary is tomorrow!! 🎊
No way!! I feel like we should celebrate
Happy Birthday to Transistor, the game that introduced me to Supergiant Games. This is an amazing beautiful wonderful game. I love everything about it, the setting, the art, the music, the gameplay, the progression, the story and most importantly the team that made it.
I watched a stream of the game recently, someone who'd never played a Supergiant game before and they couldn't believe that it had come out in 2014, goes to show that the effort put into this game meant that it has staying power beyond your typical game.
Most of all I'm glad that the success of Hades brought new eyes to your prior games because more people need to experience Transistor.
Praying for that merch restock 🙏
Happy anniversary :)
Happy ten years!
🔟
Transistor rapidly approaching middle school age
I remember getting transistor when it was on sale for the Nintendo switch back in high school. one of the best decisions 15 year old me made
definitely of the games that made a big change in my life.
so I am grateful it was made and that i was able to play it
my favorite game ever ☺️ so glad I played it when I did and that it stuck with me in that way
I don’t have enough words or the right words to express how important it is to me so I’ll just reiterate what crimson said, I’m grateful I was able to play it
TRANSISTOR IS 10 YEARS OLD ALREADY!?
Wtf
When did this happen ?
Oh god bastion is 13
That’s the time between ps1 and ps3
Happy Anniversary 😭
I will never get over transistor, i guess its that time again to replay it
It could’ve been considered retro if it wasn’t for the industry stagnating so hard
Happy birthday, Transistor!
transistor….. my beloved…….
10 years of greatness
TT ^ TT WE ALL BECOME
what a fantastic game
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, RED!

Seconds do indeed march into the past
Transistor 10 years 👴
To commemorate this occasion I'm gonna reveal that I'm planning to make an Auden Cosplay
And if everything works out I will have a full sized Transistor "Sword"
How much storage is it gonna have?
I mean - a flash drive this big has to have at least 10TB, right?

happy transistor day
I was hoping to get my Transistor tattoo this past weekend. Gonna have to wait a few months now though
ya know hwat?
it's the 10th anniversary
no hades for me today
gonna play some transistor
oh my god two minutes in and im already getting chills
literal goosebumps
god i missed this game so much
OH MY GOD THE GHOSTS!
ok - help me out here
does transistor actually have those darksoulsy-ghosts of other players or am i just seeing things?
hhhnnnnggnghngngngng https://www.instagram.com/reel/C7MgIuArglK/
Happy 10th Anniversary to one of my favourite games of all time, Transistor! I was highly anticipating this game back in 2014, and I couldn't wait for May 20th to roll around. Thank you to @supergiantgames for making such a beautiful game and piece of art!
This time, I threw Royce back on and invited @sewingsillycosplay to do a collaborative vid...
@keen karma !
you're just the person i was looking for
you seem to know transistor well
tell - am i just going insane, or am i actually seeing other players?
the blue 'ghosts' are other players yeah
i knew it!
cause i remember seeing them shortly after launch and then didn't see any few years later
are those ghosts real-time?
Holy
Wait huh
no clue actually I don't think they ever clarified that
i think those ghosts were the reason why transistor had some performance issues on day 1
i dunno anymore - we would have to ask the devs, but
i don't wanna bother them
the only reason I know that they're other people is because they mentioned it once in some interview
I'm gonna assume they aren't real time though
they could be because i remember one other player humming to the music next to me shortly after launch
holy moly!!
so it was either a mad coincidence
it's been already 10 years ? I'm getting old 😦
or they are kinda-sorta real time
wish there was an easier way to know for certain the only things I've ever been able to find mentioning it are a rockpapershotgun article and a random steam thread
i saw another player at junction jan's!
Transistor is one of the few games I've ever 100%, that's how much I love it. Getting Risk() was Challenging
transistor made me upgrade from windows xp to windows 7
"Look, whatever you're thinking, do me a favor; don't let go"
<- That's my favourite quote in the game
my fave quotes all come from Drunksistor ™️
yeah, ok mr. sonic man
you gotta go fast
I'll be a bit sad if Supergiant doesn't give Transistor a shout-out on it's 10th birthday
it's in #announcements
Yes, but apparently I didn't get the notification from Announcements. Was checking it earlier today
🙈
i gotta google-translate what "aplomb" means
Happy 10 years to Transistor!
Everything about Royce is my favourite thing about Transistor.
And of course, "The Spine."
Been waiting years for a restock of the Empty Set concert poster on Fangamer, checked today and it's gone from restock planned to just 404 😭
lmao
I FOUND A BUG!
hang on i gotta
it
F10?
more like F10 years too late for that
basically - you can dash through this wall right here like in hades and get to the other side and it messes up the scripting
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/638031423340806185/1242159905935458456/20240520185554_1.jpg?ex=664cd30f&is=664b818f&hm=2b6b9bdb95aa281ef47786ec8c0330b53728b023b95cd6579061abef919d5d74&
so you have to dash out of there, go around and take the stairs to end up in the same place
I'm digging that shirt
The new shirt looks sick, just preordered. Happy 10 years Transistor
ok - few things
sybil's fight is still one of the best bossfights i ever played
and two - yeah i figured someone discovered this already
question is - how do speedrunners actually use this bug?
i went in there and bonked against an invisible wall

i wish it came in black too
that's all - just...
Just ordered the shirt!
this is... interesting
have you guys read that interview with Logan over at gameinformer?
there's this interesting bit about transistor that goes like this
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/638031423340806185/1242165478827491418/image.png?ex=664cd840&is=664b86c0&hm=9e31b9709dec0fa1d3cfe34b6b91bbfbd2960eee52b742bfb519073997a7c2f0&
and it made me
i love Logan as blue
i think the voiceacting in this game is near perfect
so it got me thinking
what would Mr. Cunningham want to change there?
and how would that new Blue sound
Yeah that interview was super interesting
a lot of artists tend to dislike their early works
seeing them as imperfect and what not
but iunno - i love transistor
it's my fave SGG game
well - almost
hades 2 is looking pretty sweet so far, but i'll have to wait for 1.0 to make that call
well - everything transistor-related looks good
im replaying it right now and man...
10 years in and this game still looks drop-dead gorgeous
just...
this kinda reminds me about the stink some people raised about Red's old running animation in the reveal trailer
i kinda liked it
this number just keeps going up
Transistor will probably always be one of my favorite games
Like
I love everything about this game
From the Soundtrack to it's Artstyle, Story and Gameplay
And also all it's faults and weaknesses
As much as I love Hades and Pyre (and Bastion), Transistor is the SGG game that will always have a special place in my heart
oh yeah same
is it flawed?
sure
is it short and easy? oh yeah
and as that noclip doc showed - making it wasn't all that easy either
but i still love it to bits
I love that it's short
In a time when everyone wants to spend hundreds of hours in every single game, having a game that is short but still so memorable is a blessing imo
oh in that way - yeah, totally
but what i meant is that - i'd love to see more optional challenges
or more robust NG+ or something, you know?
something that wouldn't make your first run grindy but would let you play around with those mechanics a bit more
Yeah I can see that
welp
first death of the run
i thought i had a nice little setup but then the next encounter happened and i wasn't able to kill a single enemy
happy anniversary transistor 💛 so glad this game is loved by so many
Damn 10 years! One of my favourite games, happy anniversary!
My list currently is:
Hades 2 (I love it so much already)
Hades (it’s what got me into SGG and has made a forever fan
Transistor (yall already know if your in this channel)
Pyre (the storytelling and music is superb)
Bastion (I love bastion but I love the others a bit more, I love zulfs theme and the credits theme)
Sorry for that my WiFi died
Meant to respond to this lol
But yeah transistor is so good
I was literally so shocked at the ending I was speechless lol
my current list goes something like this
- transistor/hades 2 (jury's still out on this one)
- bastion/hades 1 (i love them both)
- pyre - not because it's bad, mind you (it gave me more feels in 20 hours than hades in 200), but because i absolutely suck at it

whenever i play pyre im like
That’s fair lol I’ve only seen people who say pyre is too easy or too hard
the hardest thing about pyre is explaining it to someone who never played it
yeah i have some really hot takes about the ending of transistor
Did you like it or na?
oh i like it a lot
but for completely different reasons
i didn't like it at first but then i did a complete 180 after NG+
calse loops
SGGs sure love loops in their stories
Fr lol
Funnily enough I’m doing a python certification exam tomorrow and have to study recursion lol
ROTUND
YEAH
that's it
that's the ticket to solving this puzzle that is transistor's story
Just got to play the game to study
oh you're laughing but that's literally what happened to me
10 years ago...
i think it was my last year at highschool or first year at uni
i remember sitting there and i was actually learning about recursive functions and then it clicked for me
like a lightbulb went above my head and i went THAT'S IT!
"that's why red shishkebab'd herself at the end"
Btw
If you have any suggestions or know anyone who has done this feel free to hit me up
I do have plans on how to do things, but I'm still very inexperienced when it comes to Cosplay and Cosmaking
Thats awesome lol
Listening to old friends rn, Darren korb is amazing
but yeah - i was so impressed by bastion and transistor at the time that i've send SGGs an email (written in... borderline broken english lol) where i went on one of my trademarked rants about how awesome and inspirational those games are and how they restored my faith in gaming and other cheesy crap like that
basically - the stuff i write over at #video-games every other week or so now
and since i don't really do social media, the only email adress i found was the tech support one
and i don't know who got that email but Amir actually replied like the next day and i was like ayyyyy
good times
god - 10 years
that's the time between doom 2...
and freaking half life 2
absolutely insane
Supergiant is so cool for interacting so much
oh yeah
it's rare to see absolute rockstars staying so humble and down to earth after so many success stories
Fr
well - mostly successful, anyway
i have a feeling pyre didn't sell so well, but that's just my hunch
Happy 10 year anniversary 😭😩🫰🏽
Prob didn’t sell amazingly but def has a cult following (in a good way)
oh yeah it has a small and dedicated fanbase
there's like a handful of people who actually can play it well lmao
I grinded to beat 10 titan stars to 100% it and then my skill plummeted lol
seriously - im gonna replay pyre on it's anniversary in about 3 years
and i'm just gonna spend most of my time there fumbling with buttons
good thing you can lose every rite and still get to the end
oh yeah - i remember turning just two of those on and i got my ass kicked so hard i'm still sore when sitting down
im so bad at it
The titan stars are wild
Honestly so are limiters
They both do a lot in a single modifier
That’s why I like heat so much, it’s more customizable
transistor was such an amazing game when it came out that i finished it twice from start to finish and once with like an 100% complete run and max difficulty the final boss fight still lives rent free in my head
happy anniversary
man
i love the drunksistor
welp
today was fun
it was nice seeing this channel so active again
but i gotta bail
see you in another 10 years, i guess
I missed all the celebrations bc I was out but ooooh my lord
well
hop into the game and you might even see other players running around
If it weren't for Transistor, my absolutely favorite game still to date I wouldn't be here today
i saw quite a few
haven't seen this much traffic around junction jan's and highrise in ages
I'm still on the go and will probably fall into bed once I'm home
But I'm glad to see other folk are celebrating
I still wanna redo my Royce cosplay once I understand how to work with LEDs
10 years old. What a ride! What a game! One of my faves. - still remember when I first played. Red was such a remarkable character. This game is a masterpiece.
This part lol
and we finally get sybil merch... (kinda)
i just preordered the shirt, finally something sybil related
10 years of sybil wow! cannot believe it
10 years of me being a Royce fan (holds him up like a potato)
I just think he's neat
ur so real for that
I'm still a little mad we never got that sequence in the Process world but I also understand they never wanted to explain them explicitly (I'm foaming at the mouth for more og games SGG lore)
Greek myth stuff is fun bc you can interpret more fun things into them but I miss the Eldritch horrors of Pyre and the existentialism of Transistor
One of the few games I did a cosplay for. I threw together a boxer cosplay that I only ever wore to the one event. Two people recognized it haha.
A reply from the Amir himself 👀
i got into transistor (and other sg games following) a year after transistor released, so 9 years of my longest standing interest in anything and a very special game to me
happy 10th to dear old Transistor, one of those games i'll be thinking about for the rest of my life
I remember it came out around the same time as Mario kart 8 back on Wii U
I was excited but ultimately let down by that
And then I got Transistor which I remember I tried to play with lights out
Always for the atmosphere
It was amazing
I can see more traces of Transistor and Bastion in Hades 2 😄
squirts are back and we get those enemies that spawn more creatures
NEW SHIRT and my boy is on it!
I will say that i appreciate that they seemed to have woven a lot more of the main story throughout Hades II. thats what i loved about SGG games so much was the story with the art, music, voice acting, and game play. The first Hades kinda missed on me because of how long it took to really make story progress, you had to get through to the end to get anywhere, it felt like. The only mark I have against Hades 2 is the same as 1: While the music feels very Hades, it doesn't frequently evoke parts of Hades. The other games, pretty much all the songs can evoke certain parts of the story and environs
I replayed transistor recently, but I’m replaying it again now…. Love this game so much. Sososo much
happy birthday to royce bracket in particular (he doesn't deserve it)
Happy birthday to him……
Just finished the game again… in just under 4 hours of one sitting ;__;
With all the time I spent with this game, I just wish I could experience it again for the first time. Though I feel like my awe of it never fades. It’s always a “comfort game” to replay when I need something familiar
You're gonna give Red stomach cramps from having her eat pizza then having her zoooom through the rest of the game!
no flatbread for her, then :(
Noooo that's even worse
Can I just say that sound when u reach a portal lives in my mind rent free. Idk but it makes feel so techy
It's such a cool sound
We can never win 😔
i cant but its ok thats the fun part!!
Happy 10th Anniversary!
Transistor was one of the first games I ever owned on Steam. I think I was 12 when I played it for the first time. Though all of the Supergiant games are special to me, none of the others have left such a lasting impact on me in the same way that Transistor has. It may not be as critically renowned as Hades, but it will always be my favorite Supergiant game (Bastion is a close second though).
For me, the best part about the game is its soundtrack. Even 10 years after its release, I'm still listening to it --- both the instrumental and vocal tracks alike. I've probably listened to the soundtrack so many times that I know the track listing by heart. More recently, I've been making full transcriptions/arrangements of my favorite songs from the game and doing so has helped me realize how much I love making music. It would not be an exaggeration to say that this game has helped me discover one of my passions.
Also, Transistor's birthday is only two days away from my own, so that's a fun coincidence.
Keep making awesome games, Supergiant! You guys have always been a huge part of my life and you never cease to inspire me.
Happy birthday, Transistor.
We are like paper boats, floating in a stream, and it would seem we'll never be apart.
Loved the world and the atmosphere that this game created. Of all Supergiant games this one just always has the most interesting "mood" to it!
Moar art nouveau games, pls and thanks
Happy birthday Transistor!!!!
been wanting to play Transistor, any tips before I do so?
bring tissues
Happy birthday Transistor
I failed you Transistor... I wasn't able to make something in time...
Me neither 😭
Im still gonna make something but it will be late unfortunately... the paper boat will have sailed
You have…
NO IDEA how much effort it takes to keep myself from making dumb jokes about this post
noooo
SHIRT
yellow really isn't my color though 😭
it could be ...
Yeah same
I would totally buy it if it came in black
Or AT LEAST very dark blue
That’s as far as I can go in terms of colors on my clothes
might need to go L in this one, I only found out later that most merch shirts (back when i bought them) were usually M though most 'fashun' tops on me are xs/s...
get a splash of color in!!
your name is literally yellow!
ah sorry i'm colorblind
welp
back to my current transistor run
oh look!
transistor is now officially an im-sim
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/638031423340806185/1242506479328690368/image.png?ex=664e15d5&is=664cc455&hm=3486cb975f69da47acfcc9c107a9c553ff9bdb7d9af5a5ed515b6d3e3b12caa1&
maaaaan
how is this game still so pretty?
is that the bastion hammer?
Oh!!! That’d be a fun callback!
Uwaga!
god, what a ride
this game aged like fine wine
10 years in and there's still so, so much to talk about
and so much to discover
i am still utterly fascinated by cloudbank and how it operates
and there are still some parts of the story i don't quite understand
but that's fine
it's certainly the most "brainy" SGG story, and yet at the same time a lot of it is symbolic and up for personal interpretation
i'd rather have a story like this where even 10 years in it makes me go
instead of a wookiepedia-styled lore dump that leaves nothing to imagination a month after release
is it perfect? far, far from it
especially not with all those wild haircuts at the end that make old glam rock gigs look tame in comparison
but im happy with the way it is now
especially after seeing that noclip doc - apparently this game had a lot of growing pains
AD probably lurking like
i doubt any of the devs will see this - seeing how they're all busy with hades stuff, but i still have to say this
Once again - thank you for this wholly unique, one of a kind experience.
even 10 years in there's nothing quite like it.
hey
in this run those haircuts were a straight up instakill
i haven't seen haircuts this deadly since my last woodstock
...in 2012...
god im old
also - sidenote
seeing cloudbank getting all processed at the end there is one of the reasons why i would love to see a SGG horror game
SGG: The Backrooms
that's where they keep all their Darrens
Paper boats playing in the credits after Red ||strikes herself with Transistor to see her fiance|| hits me even now. Happy birthday Transistor
i see someone didnt put bounce() on passive 👀
i did
actually - i found the best way to deal wit them was to use...
switch()
and send them back to their former owners
my daily discovery on tidal has We All Become on it 😌
Dear Transistor,
I am very sorry I went 10 years without playing you. My bad.
Sincerely, a new fan
"Look, whatever you’re thinking, do me a favor; don’t let go"
Played and finished the game today, my god the heartache.
It’s this weird mix between a… slightly janky hack n slash and a delightful short-burst turn based strategy game about a singer who lost her voice and her bf/husband who’s nothing but just a voice
Set in one of the most gorgeous and interesting fictional cities ever made
Great music
Great art
Great vibes
Logan Cunningham spends 30% of the game pretending to be drunk
That’s about it
And all of it comes wrapped in one of my fave stories that’s near impossible to fully understand on your first run
Finally pre-ordered the Anniversary Shirt
I'll add another couple of things about "what's Transistor about" and they are...
- One of the best homages to art deco and art nouveau I've ever seen (especially in a game)
- One of the best cyberpunk-y concepts, executed with a very "light" touch that doesn't sit there and explain everything to you
- The music and the songs. Oh my. Yes we already mentioned them. But they're that good.
oh yeah
also free pizza, great pubs, open-heart surgery "honey i shrunk the kids"-style and one of the best bossfights ever put into a videogame
whoever asked what's transistor about is gonna be really confused after reading this
oh this looks great
i like the detail of red actually wearing blue's jacket
before he - you know - got shiskebab'd by the camerata
One wonders how badly Blue gets rattled throughout the game from Red dragging him along the ground, swinging him, slamming him into things, etc
whee! whee!
oh yeah there's some dialogue about it in the game
I didn't remember that 👀 Now I must search
basically ||in the first drunksistor bit he goes like "y-ya wanna know what i hate more than stairs?"||
||nothing.||
||right now? nothing||
and you end up draggin him through like three flights of stairs
i wish he had an animation of going bonk bonk bonk on every step
Thanks for this LOL
thank mr. Kasavin for writing this line lol
One of my fav ||drunk transistor moments is him singing we all become||
Idk what triggers it
also i love that one bit where he goes like "y-yuo iknow i love you, right?
"
"it's... true!
"
Pretty sure is the first time but he just did that randomly
boi haven't we all been there
https://youtu.be/4ckhuItMewg?t=23m3s found a clip
oh that's cool
I think he also hums it if you change one of the volume settings?
honestly though - i still don't quite understand this whole drunksistor thing
like - why does ||the spine make him act like that?||
I think it's left vague on purpose. For sure all ||spines|| seem to have that effect. Maybe they are ||process creatures|| so big they disrupt the Transistor's "interface"
since cloudbank ||isn't really real|| i've hard some people comparing it to the internet backbone
i mean - it is a spine, after all
but how that relates to anything is beyond me
uuuuhhh interference (i won't elaborate)
please do
no
Either way, it was funni seeing drunk sword
I thought the lyrics would clear things up, but not really
i don’t remember this in detail. but, maybe when the spine is threatened it consumes most of the simulations processing power. and since the transistor itself is a sophisticated device it slows down and becomes drunk to compensate for a lack of cpu time.
the transistor itself is a sophisticated device it slows down and becomes drunk
nah that's not it
im far from being sophisticated and i still tend to slow down and become drunk
Could it just be that the sword just doesn't have enough functions and memory at that point in the game, hence the drunk aspect of it?
i don't think it's that either because it happens twice
the second time is right at the end where you're at peak power
Oh yeah you're right, forgot about that
but see what i meant when i said it's the most brainy sgg story?
we're 10 years in and we still can't figure out what the second boss means
Maybe if SGG has a Q&A thingy, someone should ask about the second boss
Man, I was so gung-ho during the ||spine|| fight that I realized today the exact shape of the creature, or at least the top end ||(a massive human-like body with a shock of long hair, similar to a giant Man process). It also has the stabby tail, but somehow I didn't really see the shoulders the first time around.||
I might be a bit daft 😜
Play it blind like I did, for the big owies
LOL?
Thank you for the replies
anyone else preorder the new shirts! bought it immediately
I did, super excited for whenever it arrives
I would've, but I don't like to wear yellow that often
I remember being at a campsite as a kid while they had a beetle problem and they‘d fly onto anything yellow… (our plates were yellow)
is that why the beatles were so happy singing about a submarine?
cause it was yellow?
transistor is one of the few videogames that have ever made me cry. both when ||the transistor is first malfunctioning||, and ||them reuiniting in the country at the end.||
easily one of my three favorite games of all times, alongside Majoras Mask and New Vegas.
is there a parallel world where all the people are swords that are getting stabbed by humans
checked out the annib shirt but i wish it wasnt yellow
also looks like Fangamer no longer carried the cloudbank tee? ive been waiting for ages for ti to come back in stock 😦
I **just **saw the 10 year anniversary message 😔
I'm not among the ones that played when it released but I did play it almost four years ago and instantly got hooked on all SGG's stuff
certainly deserves another replay despite playing it like three times already and getting that hundo% on steam
tbh it's my favorite of the bunch due to the high-tech high-life aesthetic that makes it stand out within the sci-fi/cyberpunk artstyle space, and no ost gets me happy like Gateless
one of my favorite moments is when ||sybil starts singing along during the fight itself after the first phase||
I wish they would put out those transistor flash drives again
I was a fool years ago and kept forgetting to grab one
also trying to be financially responsible and hold off until june, unless i see they start running out of sizes
i'd be a sucker for a poster of some kind
Same, if it was black or many other not-that-shade options it'd make the other colors pop so much more 😔
Me just learning about that rn OMG I WISH I HAD KNOWN ABOUT IT SOONER
I was always broke at the time and now I can't find it anywhere
Seems like its release coincided with the PAX that year so I doubt it’s available anymore especially 10 years later
Oh definitely, I pray they see our tears and re-release it, but I dont have much hope
But it would be cool to do it for the anniversary
i don't know where mine is rn but i got one at pax east back in the day
I mean if you found it and were interested in selling it hmu lol 👀
oh no i very much love having it haha
it's just not right in front of me on my desk so i can't snap a pic or whatever
i got it but i missed out on some other merch...
it straight up haunts me lol my collection... it will be forever incomplete....
I'm so glad I bought mine when I did. Still using it.
There were transistor flash drives? and I don't have one? I'm screaming
Dang I’d love one
The Ghost of Supergiant Past
Royce’s voice reminds me of Harlan Ellison
Did they get rid of all their transistor merch?
SG has kinda gone through a weird saga with different merch providors. My impression is that they handled a lot of it in-house for a while, and it caused a lot of strain on the teams that handled it. The move over to FanGamer saw a lot of the catalog getting trimmed, and tragically that included most/all of the non-Hades merch.
genuine suffering
I understand it tbh. As fans we have a lot of "shut up and take my money" but they're mostly in the business of making games. Maybe once H2 hits full release we'll see some back-log getting fulfilled, but I imagine that pretty much every employee has their hands quite full at the moment lol.
I'm glad I got the Red figure at PAX when I did, at least
Blessed to have a Concert Poster decorating my walls
So one of my favorite parts of the Hades soundtrack is the duality of many of the tracks. The zones have a more acoustic feel and the bosses have the rock version.
I like to think Darren’s genesis for that concept came with Transistor’s singing/humming versions of its tracks. So cool.
it's not financially irresponsible to buy anything transistor

I'd pay upwards of $500 for a watch/jacket from transistor
i technically own the transistor jacket for my red cosplay lmao
ive wanted to make the Sword to cosplay Red for years so I can use it to practice working with an Arduino board, but I also don't think trying to hook up a speaker and reactive lights at the same time is the best place to start 🥲
that sounds like a very fun project tho
