Im not saying people should do it every game but sometimes if you are practicing on a way higher fear than you can handle it can be worth trying because str lets you survive till u get DD refills from echo or athena

in act3 on both regions there is some chance to get a full DD refill but its RNG

and rarely, having a back pocket str can help you get there if you lose the DDs on a hard act2 rivals boss

You really want to have a build that's already going to be spending a good amount of MP (and can regenerate it) before Hexes start popping off

And even then, if the build's strong enough, your build's likely going to be what's putting in the work and not the Hex

It's a good starting Keepsake for the moon coat, but otherwise it's not super run-carrying

Godsents make hexes nice utility, but they usually aren't your main DPS source (unless you're going Apollo lunar ray, which is risky because LR is otherwise garbage)

and buying nectar/other gifts is always nice until relationships are maxed out, assuming you want to max them out, but it's rarely a player power thing other than the first gift to each NPC

elements do nothing on their own, but each god has an "infusion" boon which is tied to the element system.
there are two types of infusion boon:

1. an effect which flips on once you have enough of a specific element (like 3 fire for Apollo's self healing)
2. an effect which scales with how many of a specific element you have (like Poseidon's water fitness)
   so, getting more of each element makes more infusion boons possible to turn on, and also makes the ones which scale more powerful

so if you get epic "creation" from chaos and have those two boons (or get them later), then chaos gave you +45 health and +6 dodge chance

I will say that cast is WAY more important in hades 2, it has a ton of utility even with no boon on it, so get used to using it super often.
autofire also has some uses, but I’d recommend experimenting with it later in a playthrough, once you’re used to playing without it. it’s only good on certain aspects

Hey everyone, I think I'm having an issue with the game, or I'm not understanding something correctly. I can't figure out how to upgrade familiars.
Apparently I need the "Attending a Faithful Beast" incantation, but I never got it. I tried cooking up a few morsels to trigger it, but no luck. I'm at 120 nights and I have max bond with most characters, incl. Hecate...
The wiki also says "Spend at least 2 Witch's Delight on Animal Familiars" to unlock that incantation, but I don't know how to do that, when I approach any of my familiars in the Crossroads (got Frinos, Toula and Raki unlocked), I can't give them anything. I've met Gale and Hecuba several times throughout the run and I can't gift them anything either, I can only pet them.

farming bones, fishing prophecies (if there are any? I don't remember), and ||a late game incantation which requires you to have caught every type of fish. a very good late game incantation||
waking her up is annoying, but getting an extra death defiance is quite nice tbh, and she's solid with aspect of Circe

you can manually fish, but making fish spawn more often + skipping the fishing minigame speeds things up a lot

for arachne just keep following her quest with athena and pay attention to what athena says

||his hardest attack is definitely the scythe throw. watch carefully for its cue (iirc he starts spinning his scythe) and to avoid it the safest place to stand is actually a little bit in front of him
his scythe swing and scythe dash are also pretty dangerous. the "time rifts" left behind by those attacks only damage you when they expire. once he reaches half health for the first time he can combo them into each other up to three times so watch out for that.
also that one attack in phase 2 where a circle shrinks in on chronos? only the circle itself deals damage, not the outside of it, so don't worry||
