medea is not existed in this run. Other than the chaos before town I didn't get a single skip or timer stop. It was only due to the insane fine line damage that I was able to survive to Prometheus.

The appearance of Hercules, Artemis, and free rooms has such a huge impact on the run that it's just bad gamedesign.

surface is at least twice as hard as UW, so if you're planning on going for a 50 just to get a 50 then I recommend UW and starting Hera's keepsake for Born Gain start and run Hecuba

It's honestly a very, very strong build. Very safe. The only difficulty is not dying from the timer while collecting Hestia boons.

I used a lucky save where I had chaos in the first room and lots of rooms with Hestia in town. Without this, getting so many of Hestia's gifts will be incredibly difficult.

For me getting all the boons is surprisingly consistent, but time is a nightmare

I took cast 1st, then get origination through dash and that's how I clear up first rooms, using attacks only when cast is unavailable. This allows me to clear enemies pretty quickly and safe.

I was experimenting with a new Arcana setup and a weapon aspect I haven’t used much, so I wasn’t expecting to get that far this run. I was just happy to beat Eris for the testament. I very nearly lost to the spawn of typhon being too greedy trying to channel my omega specials and had to dash around and slowly kill him with beach balls on 5 HP. (Got Water Fitness and a big sandwich from Hermes after, so I left that chamber with like 250 HP or something)

My final purchase in the final shop was a mystery boon, and I got offered Hera’s legendary for the first time. I managed to meet the requirements for all of bonus the infusion boons I got. Typhon was unexpectedly quite easy after that

(Sorry for the poor quality, I was playing on a docked steamdeck and didn’t know how to take a screenshot)

I didn’t organize the boons well in those either. I had Water Fitness and Tall Order already and got the others from Hera Legendary. I dunno that Air Quality actually did anything for me, but Rallying Cry and Frosty Veneer surely did

Trying to get 32 fear in the underworld with every current aspect before the update. All I have left is Than, Eos, Pan and Momus. Here are some fun runs I had over the last couple days

50F Surface #15. Aspect of Selene. @slate matrix

Apologies to @ionic swan ; Sky Fall didn't make it to the top five sources of damage dealt.

For a while I did try to actually build around Sky Fall. I even experimented with using the Night and Moon arcana cards (15% crit chance on omega moves and faster hex charging). But that meant giving up either Persistence (+40 HP and Magick) or both The Furies (+30% damage to targets in casts) AND Divinity (+20% chance for epic boons). No matter what I tried, I struggled to beat the timer if I started the run with the Moon Beam keepsake. Sky Fall is great, but it's let down by the coat's omega moves.

So in the end, I gave up on building around the aspect. I did end up grabbing a couple of paths of stars, and acquired Scorn (+50% damage every time Skyfall hit the same target) and a couple of +1 charge per second upgrades, so at least the hex wasn't completely unusable.

Keepsakes used: Fig Leaf, Gorgon Amulet, Luckier Tooth, Lion Fang.

Not a fan of this aspect. It's frustrating to have your damage come from spamming specials when your specials don't stagger enemies. And I don't enjoy the fire-and-forget playstyle where damage is somewhat external to player agency.

Thank you, I have my answer. At 55 fear, the Cerberus shockwaves deal 50 damage. 50 * 0.5 * 0.85 - 7 is 14.25, and you took 14 damage from the shockwave. So the tough gain subtraction is performed last in the damage reduction calculation

Especially when considering this run was split up over two or three play sessions! That usually gives me a harder time, not an easier one.

This run (from a few days ago) went from good to ridiculous when I picked up All Together in area 3, purged it at the start of area 4, then bought my way back into it at the final shop of area 4, getting four infusion boons from each, and sending Extended Family skyrocketing to what I imagine is at or nearly at the highest possible bonus for Epic rarity of +96% damage for the various bonus effects.

If you dont know what boon the ultimate premium vintage is, its the one that makes it so that if you pick up nectar you gain more max health. AND ITS AMAZING! These moments when you got the chance between a centaur heart and nectar, and your like “why not both”. BUT THATS NOT ALL! Premium vintage also gives you a nectar instantly, where the effect already applies. So you have moments where you can choose between a centaur heart, nectar or dionysus and your like “why not all three”. Or when you give Dionysus nectar and he is a real bro, the dude gives you back your nectar, gives you health AND makes it so future nectar also give health. Shout out to the best boon EVER! React if you are smart and know that premium vintage is the best boon, and makes Dionysus the best god! I really hope they make something like that in Hades II.

I have trouble keeping track of Mel against typhon with the zoomed-out camera in general, so it’s really easy for me to accidentally throw out a bunch of incorrectly-oriented fine lines before I grok that Mel isn’t where I thought she was, and then I run out of magick before the fight is over. Once I for some reason decided to try the mercury for summit when I also had blood drops. Zooming around so fast made my positioning awareness problem much worse, and the fine lines were firing so fast, I had more wasted ones than usual. Skill issue on my part, I know, but having indefinitely renewable magick feels comfier, even if it’s disrupting my DPS a bit

That while we’re going to get most all the gameplay as it is developed and refined, as our early access feedback informs that development, the back half of the core story is going to be held for 1.0, so that we who sink these hours and hours (fun hours, at that!) into Early Access still have something big to look forward to in the 1.0 launch even as we plumb the depths of the new and updated and rebalanced boons/weapons/aspects/trinkets/pets/etc between each major early update patch until it feels like there might be little left in gameplay to make 1.0 as engaging as early access has been.

I used a very similar build on Hel to get both Rivals. though goin down I went deeper on Scorch, and going up more on Blitz
even with the hidden Aspect, skull omega special spam can't be beat!!
I would not recommend Paid Dues..........
I WOULD recommend Night Bloom cuz of all the damage reduction you can get from it. Yowie-zowie

my fastest run with Morrigan, i just hit attack and nothing else, if i actually want to speedrun it might goes down to 5 minutes, fun as hell weapon tho

i've tried Hel for a bit and it is pretty fun, remind me of Eris in Hades 1 a lot
