honestly the difference between 32 and 45 isnt much, its only after 45 when grit and hoards have to go on do you start feeling things

Same. Usually goes with a Poseidon/Aphroditis build with the Black Coat Nyx Aspect. First a charged dash toward the enemy and then button mashing like an idiot. Sometimes, when I need safety, I go with missiles for some specific moments against some bosses.

With close combat I usually prefer Poseidon as it allows to make sure that each hit will move enemies away from you. Combine that with Glamour Gain from Aphrodite and Island Getaway as a duo boon and not only you get infinite MP, but you also get +15% damage resistance for the remaining of your run + Weak effect on everyone.

It's just a small stupid combo but that I tend to like a lot.

aphrodite has the condition of needing to be close. Ares has less % but he has boons that make wounds also apply additional effects on top of the +50 power which innately synergizes with the % increase.

but on the whole aphro is usually the better of the two if you only consider the attack/special boon.

the main difference between the various attack and special boons in the status effect they inflict (a few also dont have statuses and instead have some other condition). understanding what those statuses are and where theyre useful is very important

ares is kinda like hephaestus in that his attack and special boons' status can only proc every once in a while

ares is kinda the most generally good attack/special tbh, its very general purpose and works on basically every weapon

but because its so universal it doesnt like, excell with certain weapons or anything

the way that, say, poseidon or hestia really excell with certain weapons

Ares applies a curse that gives +50 base damage on your first hit on an enemy that doesn't have that curse (and this will scale with Olympian and global damage boosts), and has boons and Duos that build off of the Wounds

Chaos Egg is underrated

Chaos egg needs to be reworked to work like hammer, instead of 8 encounters it should be 1 chaos boon 20 encounters

been watching Boated's runs (he's super obsessed with Ares post patch) and yeah you need like his whole kit for the build to really pop off

That is to say yes, rivals chronos is hard, I've only had luck with Moros Torch because on how broken it is, and yes lots of moon waters with strength, it's also viable to stack all your death defiances and as a strength fan and I will say DD builds have viability on high fear.

EM4 phase 1 is a gamble because he summons different mini-bosses, get butterfly balls, each with as much health as Typhon and you're basically screwed

But I did it in the end. Surface build was hilarious

got Heph cast immediately at epic, so i made it heroic. got Aphro for magic regen, meat grinder on ares and gust cast from demeter. Slap down 2 overlapping omega casts and watch the blades, gusts and hammers shred everything inside.

Had 5 minutes left on the summit but I made it to Typhon in just under 2 minutes and shredded him.

I swear armored mobs (Especially with Vow of Fangs) are like 10x harder than any of the bosses.
