its an olympian summoning keepsake, so yeah it disables them since youre no longer at the fates whim, but that doesnt mean theyre removed from your run, theyre in there for the sake of documenting what you had during the run

Well, here’s an example with unboosted hitch (% can be increased with hereditary bane):

there’s 10 enemies in the room, and all of them have hitch. You deal 100 damage to 1 of them, and all other foes take 30 damage (30%). Let’s say you hit 3 of them in one strike. Now, all other enemies are taking 90 damage. Hit 4? 120 to all other enemies, even more powerful than the initial strike.

every weapon not the daggers has a pretty sizable range that lets you tag multiple enemies at once

Attacks/specials with large areas of effects (I.e axe) can hit a lot at once. Nexus rush (just run around a little bit) and engagement ring (hitches everything in circle)

I have never once been able to give him another gift , despite the button prompt for gifting showing up. If I try to gift him something, it also never gives me the option of all 3 (ambrosia, bath salts, fishing lure), but usually just 2 of them. Ive never seen someone actually have any sort of "[character] would accept an offering of [item]" after their affinity gauge is maxed out, and i have attempted to give gifts to pass time but nobody lets me

aside from that i'd say learn the ruleset for how location rewards are chosen so that you can learn how to manipulate rewards with rerolls. forcing your build is particularly easy on surface

i saw someone saw online that the damage reduction from strength effectively gives you more HP over the entire run than taking the DD's gives you. idk if that's accurate. personally i was never a strength gamer until 1.0 dropped, i've been really enjoying it. it does feel a bit easier for me cuz of the damage reduction and 20% damage increase

but it's only easier for me probably cause i have most boss fights down, death defiance is probably easier when you're still learning a boss. more forgiving

I think raki or hecuba is probably the best choice overall tho, if I had to guess

rivals typhon feels okay to me because it's mostly the same fight

its longer but other than the stand in the circle phase its mostly just executing on the same stuff
