i feel like all familiars could use some buffs, so here's my suggestions:
frinos: increase hitbox size by 100x
toula: give a permanent taunt that makes all enemies and bosses exclusively target her
raki: hits now make enemies go unconscious, making them inactionable for 2 minutes
hecuba: now spawns magick restoration/healing at a 50% chance per frame
gale: remove the 1/location and 3/region limit on her block, now unlimited, but only if they feel like blocking at the time

that's not quite what it says, but you're still right. if you get it on switch 1, then you can continue with your progress on a switch 2 (although you probably would need to do a data transfer on the console, but it is still possible).
