Google has been stuck in review for 10 hours. I'm going to give it a few more hours, but will absolutely not be waiting any longer thanks to the 'Version Mismatch' system that I added/talked about before

Google has been stuck in review for ~36 hours now, and iOS has been in review for ~12hrs (Apple had a new requirement regarding Xcode which took some troubleshooting, hence the discrepancy)
I am checking them hourly of course, and will be posting Patch Notes when they both go through.

More specific details about Summer Break event:
- You get 1 event point if you collect all 50 summer coolers. This event point is an ITEM DROP, and it drops at the same time the 50th summer cooler drops, so you need to pick it up.
- Bonuses purchased with Event Points are PERMANENT, and will stay with your account forever even after the event ends.
- Golden Oysters are your best source of event points, and can be found inside Summer Coolers ~2% of the time
- Unspent Event Points will STAY with you, carrying over to next event
Next Update info:
Next update will be BIG TIME ENDGAME CONTENT. I'm thinking something similar (but not the same) as the Rift, something for players to play and progress in while waiting for World 7. However this time, I will be aiming for something actually "infinite"
📆 I will work hard to try and release this update shortly after Summer Event ends, so collect those coolers and look forward to NEW GAMEPLAY/CONTENT in the next update!
Hey Idleoneers, I've seen a bit of confusion regarding Event Points / Event Shop, so to make things clear:

Event Points will be used for any event's shop; its not just a Summer Event thing. Some event's may not have a shop, but whenever they do they will use the same Event Points

While the free 1 Event Point at 50th cooler is neat, you will get more points from your Golden Oysters you'll collect from opening your 50 coolers -- at a 2% chance per cooler, you should get 1 Golden Oyster on average per day, which can hold 1/2/4/7 Event Points (average of 1.53 event points)

Hey idleoneers, just wanted to talk about my absence here in the last ~2 months, as I'm sure you've noticed I haven't been posting daily... not to mention the sudden halt to the posts of next update!
In short, having worked pretty tirelessly on IdleOn since starting W6 development in November of 2023, I started to get a bit tired -- that's a 9 month stretch where I was thinking about the game 24/7, not to mention I've been thinking about IdleOn for almost 5 years! This is not the first time this has happened, but it certainly still hurts in the ideas-department!
This is all to say, when I first started this update with the giant hole & villagers, I just didn't like where my head was at. I wasn't coming up with anything I thought was worth making, and for you worth playing. Had I gone with my idea, the Hole update would be out by now! You might enjoy it for a few days, but then never play it again because it would have been nothing special... instead I went with my gut who said "give it more time, come up with a better idea that like many good features in the game will stay relevant long after its release, and get your mind healthy and ready to make more updates & world 7 later!".
Even though it's tough to be away from the game, I do believe my gut and I stick by my gut, so that's why there hasn't been much from me since late July! I'm still not 100% certain what is in the hole, but once I find out you'll have daily posts from me again not just for the Hole, but more more updates! And world 7! And post world 7 updates! And world 8!
Thank you everyone for your enthusiasm over the years, and I hope I can get something extra special for you down in the hole, as well as return as strong as ever with frequent updates after and worthwhile World 7 content for after those updates!
TLDR: Worked hard since November 2023, didn't feel like I was creative enough to make content worth your time recently, so decided to wait for the creative juices to come back! Thats all, nothing serious. I hope to return with my normal daily posts & frequent updates soon!

I've done some exploring in the hole. I thought it was just a hole, but after going down I found an expansive series of caverns and oddities... I'll report my findings as I come across them...
I am hoping this update will launch in like ~2 weeks, just to give you all an idea of where things are.
Its much bigger than updates like Rift, Equinox valley, Weekly Battles (all 2023 updates), as well as bigger than any weekly update this year (duh), but it's not as big as a new world (also duh)
Also, weekly updates will return after this update (endless summoning, w6 boss, QoL/Player-Suggestion updates)

This reward multi will even scale LINEARLY for a few days (wait 2 days, get 2x multi. 3 days, 3x multi) so there is little regret to not playing every day (apart from like... the loss of not having the bonuses for a few days)

For those curious: The update wasn't exactly close to ready 2 weeks ago, although I'm probably a week closer than I would have been if I hadn't said anything. I used to function on deadlines to a severe degree 2~3 years ago, although recently I think I've under-utilized that tactic which lead to numerous negatives (including the previous burnout being longer than normal) hence why I'm glad I'm trying it out again. Also, I dont want to (and im sure you all dont want me to) derail my day spending time thinking too much about this, so excuse the curtness of this message, but I definitely want to update you all on what this update actually is...
Initially, I told you all this was going to be a never-ending progression system. I thought it would be at the time, but has not turned out like that. ||Maybe I'll figure something out for w7 in terms of infinite content, but I still dont believe that infinite content would make for a good "major update" for a game like idleon (although it works as minor thing, like Sneaking Mastery turning sneaking infinite or Endless Summoning coming in a weekly update after this)||
Instead, it is finite, unique content -- each cavern you progress to is different gameplay and serves a unique purpose (unlike Rift, where each "stage" was fighting-based with a slight twist), and will test your capabilities as an idleon player (someone with 100B mining efficiency will do better than someone with 100K mining efficiency, for example)
Simple Summary: Hole is not really "endless" content, but more unique and with longer-lasting importance to the game, with a minor amount of infinite-ness
PRO TIP: You can scroll up/down after selecting a bucket to easily change the resource it collects
The update is ~95% completed. Will be starting a content-complete test by tomorrow, then posting after ample testing time!

Remember this: You CAN reset how you spent your opals, and Conjuror villager bonuses, but only once you unlock this. So don't get choice paralysis when spending opals and conjuror points!

3 Months ago, this was going to be another small clicker update... yea they were fun for a few weeks, but I knew we needed something more. I felt like the easy way out of burnout would be to make something small like a clicker, but I knew that what I really needed to do was test myself creatively, and give you guys what you play IdleOn for -- unique, meaningful content. After all this time, I think I've come out the other side with something great.
It's not as "in your face" as a new world, you don't get 3 unique skills at once. Instead, you will slowly unravel content, unlocking more and more mechanics day by day, rescuing more and more villagers as you progress. With new Caverns and long-awaited content ||(classes, mayhaps?)|| released with weekly updates, not to mention QoL and needed fixes, we are still only at the start of the new direction of IdleOn that I embarked on 3 months ago!
(Also I snuck in some free lanterns, remember to go claim them!)

Before I jump back into daily content spoilers, I need to make a brief statement regarding a hotfix I just deployed to PC
• Opal chance from Bravery was incorrect, resulting in some "unearned" opals and some unable to earn opals at all -- the excess opals have been removed, which may result in 'negative' amounts of opals owned for some (things will return to normal next time you reset opals at lamp). This is not a taking-away of legitimate opals nor a punishment, but all should be well now. Apologies for the confusion, I hope this explains the situation fully for those affected.
Summary: Chance to get Opals from Bravery monument were wrong, and some who got more than should be possible because of the bug had them removed (6 or more opals) -- so you may have negative opals. This is ok, you'll recover and nothing bad will happen, I just wanted to clear the confusion up!
• Removed the 'in a party of just yourself' requirement from all Equinox Dreams. You can now complete dungeons with others and get full credit for completing the Dreams!

Balling Nametag WILL have +5 All-stat and +20 Defence (it current does not in-game).

Sorry for the silence idleoneers: I didn't want to build up false hype by posting update progress about an update made for early game!
This update has been very necessary for a very long time -- I actually redid the entire W1 progression system, including different scripticus quests and popups to help guide players, so it needed to be done!
Here's my plans for the coming months:
• Super duper awesome announcement in a few days - I will explain more later, but I want to make this VERY clear right now that it does not get in the way of me making IdleOn.
• 2 more Master Classes (and AFK bones for Deathbringer) - I have not yet decided exactly what the gameplay will be, but regardless DB will be getting AFK bone gain methods.
• Caverns 11-15 - I do not know if I will be doing Caverns 16-20 soon, I will need to take a look at how many people are at Cavern 10 (then 15 when that comes out) to see if enough people would be ready for Cavern 16+
• W6 boss - duh
• World 7 - This one's gonna be good... as always, I'm going to really try to hit the sweet spot of being 'artsy' and coming up with creative new gameplay, while also making it satisfying and not feel like a "job" to progress in it. Along with TOUGH AF monsters, I plan on adding a super zone where even 99999Q damage players struggle...
• Companions Trading + Rework - This has been planned for a while, as I wanted to make sure I was confident in my idea by letting it simmer in my mind (it's simmered, and I like it). I will not be announcing what it is yet -- I'm just telling you now so that it doesn't come as a surprise later. The current pet system will still exist, however it will be referred in game as the Legacy system. Everyone who likes companions will like this change, and people who felt they were 'out of place' in IdleOn will really like this change. Spoiler: The way I'm going to do trading is NOT conventional at ALL, in a way that will almost feel like cheating (in a good way, and yes I said those words specifically)
• Some wacky MMO ideas - nothing that will shake up IdleOn itself and force you to be #1 in game for bonuses. Think of "Tome Top %" display, and how its cool, it involves the 'community', but you won't need to min-max these for progress.(Updates won't be in this order)
This is the next ~5 months or so of IdleOn!

I'm releasing a NEW GAME based on the Summoning skill in World 6!
An asynchronous PvP roguelike, with emphasis on diverse builds and bonuses that make for a unique stand-alone experience!
This is not IdleOn 2
It is a completly separate experience from IdleOn. Your IdleOn characters and stats will NOT transfer into Idlemancer, and nothing (apart from crossover items potentially) will transfer out of Idlemancer into IdleOn.
Not a solo-dev project (I only make IdleOn, duh)
I am working with a few others in a way where my attention is not taken away from IdleOn. While I will be the one designing progression/bonuses (not time-consuming considering I've done this countless times for 7 years and it comes naturally at this point), ALL the coding work and fancy visual effects will not take up even a minute of my time. Further, the game will be using IdleOn art (duh), so I will not need to dedicate time to making new art for a new game.
Why am I doing this?
- Curiosity / fun for me! I like to fully understand things, and I've intently watched/studied game releases on Steam for years without actually getting to release one in the traditional way. Sure, I have experience with the free side, but no experience with the paid side (Idlemancer will be $6.99 -- this is money for the coders. I am paying them a salary & Revenue-share)
- Felt right -- when the opportunity came up of doing this, I felt there were too many positives with no real negatives. If it succeeds, I just helped the coders break into the games industry (I'm working on rev-share with them, while also paying them outright so they aren't left with nothing), not to mention a success means players get to have fun playing a cool game! If it fails? Uhhh... ouch? Maybe? Idk I dont really see the problem since I'll just keep making IdleOn in the meantime
- Help fend off burnout -- I'm not a psychologist, but maybe part of the burnout of something like IdleOn is that its never "done" (and wont be for many years tbh lmao I have a lot more to add). So maybe seeing something I'm (just emotionally) attached to be "done" will make life feel less perpetual. Or maybe not, again this is a potential Up-side, with no Down-side
Why not just add this to IdleOn?
Because then I'd have to code it in, and it actually WOULD take away from IdleOn development.
Since Idlemancer will be a paid game (coders weren't interested in doing Live-Service, neither was I, and I'm paying coders a salary + Idlemancer Revshare), the Crossover event with idleon will not feature anything game-breaking.
Final point: Since this is not a solo project, Idlemancer's post-launch updates will be decided by the coders, and if they want to continue based on the game's success. I have no skin in the game in that regard... if I did, that would stress me out and defeat the purpose of doing this in the first place.

• You can spin the wheel even with a full ribbon inventory. It will still WARN you, but its on you to manage your own life (and ribbons). If you get a ribbon with a full inventory, it WILL attempt to merge it (like, itll take the T6 ribbon you won and try to find another T6 ribbon to make a T7), but the ribbon will be lost if you have no mergeable ribbons in conjunction with a full ribbon inventory
• Minibosses no longer drop Star Talents, but only if you have both of them at Lv 100
• All the weird overlapping with Smallmode & Split Stack fixed

But while we wait this last hour, I want to say some stuff about pets, both Trading in this update, and future pets coming later.
So, listen to this...
Trades are always between YOUR FOLLOWER PET, and THEIR FOLLOWER PET 
How to choose a follower: ||Go to Dog in World 1. Now, click Manage in the top-left. Now, click Select Pet Follower in top-right. Select follower!||
When you trade a pet with someone, you KEEP YOUR PET (in untradeable form), while of course also receiving their pet in untradeable form
🎁 You can trade your pet to someone for nothing in return. They will get the pet (untradeable), and you KEEP YOUR PET (untradeable), meaning you can essentially Gift your pets to friends!
🐘 The elephant in the room asks: "Why not just do a normal trading system.... You get their pet (tradeable), and they get yours (tradeable)?"
This "pet duplication" actually LETS you use trading! What normally happens (for me) in trading is that I get a super powerful item, keep it forever, never end up trading it, and then eventually quit -- in other words, it's as if trading didn't even exist! This way, you can actually engage in trading your most powerful pets, since you end up keeping a copy!
Because that would open the door for scams, fraud, phishing, social engineering, hacked accounts, and every black-market force that plagues other MMOs. Players would be under constant duress both in-game and in discord, getting fake links from hackers trying to hijack your account so they can sell your pets. Having pets become untradeable removes the incentive and value for bad actors, while giving that EXTRA value to the real players who actually play idleon!
More pets for all -- I know some people were hoping to become a "merchant" (constantly trading pets around in the hopes of 'trading up' to the top tier pets, like that guy who trade a paperclip into a house over years), but most people just want more pets, period. This system doubles the amount of pets in game. For every 1 doot pull, thats TWO doots that enter the playerbase!
Allows for generosity -- In a normal trading system, you would NEVER give your best items to your friends. Ever. Only if you got duplicates. But because this system lets you trade a pet for no pet in return, you can essentially GIFT your best pets to your best friends, since you keep yours!

Now, as for future pets, to me its very simple:
Pet accumulation is fun.
Getting bonuses is fun.
Choosing which rotations and having new pets to use your freebie on each week is fun.
Buuuut... there are a few things that are not fun: huge requirements to hit the pity, and bonuses that feel too integral to progression.
I stand by the fact that no current pets are required for progression in the same way that buying a DLC is literally required for progression in a game with DLC, but I would have liked doot, ram, and sheepie to be less integral.
As such, future pets will all be number-bonuses.
+% Library checkout speed, +X% build rate, +X% class EXP, +X% Ninja Stealth, you get the idea.
No "[insert feature] now operates in a different/better way", like with bubbles / storage / divinities
IdleOn was, is, and always will be at its best when the juicy Game-Changing bonuses are tied to content, like you find in Alchemy, Construction, Lab, Sailing, Gaming, Jade Emporium, Summoning, and future world 7 skills. I think these changes will be perfect in making pets the system it was always meant to be.

I want to address the controversy before it gets out of hand.
Ever since I made that post, people have been up in arms over the moral and ethical ramifications regarding the nature of the post, furiously debating whether or not gems should have a shiny border.
In response, I have officially made the borders shiny.
I firmly stand with my brothers and sisters who rightfully believe they should be shiny. For those who disagree, I hope I can win you over with future posts regarding gems, but if you think it's best to leave you can do so.

• Collect 1000 charred bone Fragments on Deathbringer to unlock AFK bone collecting! Once unlocked, you will get 1 Charred Bone per HR of afk gains claimed on your Deathbringer, which each Charred Bone giving 1hr of Bones when used, similar to Aethermoons. The only difference will be that you use up the entire stack of Charred Bones at once, so you don't need to click 100s of times.
Quality Improvements
• Changed the "Shiny Medallions" talent to be an Active talent. When used, it shows which mobs you've collected medallions from, and which you havent!
Balance Changes
• You can now only get 150 Tempest Weapon/Ring Drops while visiting a map, after which they will stop dropping. NOTE: Stones and medallions WILL keep dropping always. If you want more Weapons/Rings to drop, simply leave and re-enter the map -- changing Servers will accomplish this too. I felt this would be a more convenient change than requiring the player to juggle between different loot filter options.
Bug Fixes
• Fixed Maestro crashing in World 4 town on Android!
• Fixed Wisdom monument's Memory Game crashing sometimes in latest version
• You can now find "Grass Element" Tempst Bows - the first one drops from Snelbies in World 2, and can also be found from mobs in World 4 and World 6.
• The 4th Anniversary inventory slot bag now properly applies to newly created characters. This will work retroactively, but you need to directly login with the newly created player who was missing the bag.

So... why am I doing this?
Simple, really. **There is nothing that IdleOn needs more than new end-game maps to push. ** (I don't mean this literally. There's a reason I'm not rushing to add "Samurai 2" map or JUST a new monster map. I mean the overall idea of the game's world progressing beyond World 6).
That is the #1 thing that pushed me in this direction -- why postpone the launch of what we need most (new maps) back several months just for the sake of getting all 3 skills out at the same time? The only reasons are: "Tradition", and "vibes".
For Tradition...? Well, I just am not a fan of sticking to tradition for the sake of it, at least when it comes at the cost of quality. The only tradition I follow is genuine quality content thats fun to play.
For vibes...? Yes, it is nice to get all 3 skills at once. I think it worked well for earlier worlds when you needed that huge overload of stuff to do. But with so many things in the game already, its just not as necessary -- especially since you all know the 3 skills will come out quickly enough.Other reasons are pretty simple:
- I'd like to see what a more iterative approach would result in for a new world. I've always just made entire worlds with NO feedback (except for feedback on previous worlds), so maybe releasing part 1, getting your feedback, then making part 2 and so on will make for a better overall World 7!
- My own sanity, although I want to share an important point. While I have been considering releasing World 7 in parts for a while, I only knew for certain I would do it in parts when I accepted that I would NOT. I needed to be sure I made this decision to make IdleOn better, and not because I wanted to skip out on the "tough times" of making the whole world in one go.
Yes, it's true! I have officially decided to develop and release World 7 in several parts. 
I want to give you all my full plans so you have the right expectations for what is to come -- what's the same, and what's different-- while explaining for the curious the reasons behind this decision.
With World 6, I left you all for ~4 months. From Oct. 2023 to Feb. 2024 you saw no game updates, just teaser posts here on discord. After those 4 months, you saw 14 new monster maps, 3 new skills, 1 sub-feature (the beanstalk), and ZERO off-path maps.
With World 7, I will not be leaving you all for 4 months to release in November 2025, but instead more like 2 months and releasing in September 2025. I will be hitting you with 1 new big skill, 6 new monster maps, and MULTIPLE sub-features (think beanstalk) and MULTIPLE off-path maps (think sewers). I will not be doing weekly updates after, but regular updates with skill 2, skill 3, 12 new monster maps, MORE off-shoot maps and 1-off cool features included in those.
Summary:
What you are NOT getting: 4 months of waiting, and an entire (empty
) world exactly like World 5 and 6 were, devoid of sub-features and cool secret maps.
What you ARE getting: 2 months of waiting, and part of a big, lively World 7 **full **of branching maps, secrets, challenges, actual game-changing sub-features, and a single skill, while getting the REST of the world shortly after.

Do you miss node-based skills, like Mining / Fishing / Choppin' / Catching, where you just idle at a "node" and level up to be able to idle at better nodes?
The new skill will still have a "main game mode", just like sneaking & summoning have their own unique gameplay feature, but I am thinking of adding a separate "node" system if the people yearn for the old times
If you don't plan your escape well enough, you will be paying a percentage-based toll of all the resources you found. Toll tunnel builder has to make a living too you know
Hesitant about my next move, I decided to chip away at a Stonespire rock in the hopes of more loot before climbing the exit rope -- but alas, as soon as touched the rock, the exit rope disappeared! Worst of all, the rock was too strong and my tools did nothing!
I guess I'm stuck here until I can find passage to the next depth... next time I see that exit rope, I'm not even going to think twice before using it!
Several key concepts to the new skill:
- There is long term idle-gameplay that involves thought and not just "upgrade everything instantly always" as well as an active component that is more mindless -- think sneaking and using your ninjas and charms thoughtfully, combined with summoning's "spam units and upgrade everything" mindless-ness
- The active component will have a 100% automated option for the active part specifically. This won't be as effective as doing the active component yourself, but by the time you've done 100 runs across weeks/months, it will be appreciated I'm sure
- There will be upgrades that enable passive progression, so days where you don't feel like playing the active part, you still make progress overall.
- There will be individual leveling up via nodes (like mining copper/iron nodes etc), so each player has their own skill LV
- You will need to swap between players to make them level up, just like you do with mining, but you will not need to swap around to do the skill itself of course.
- All things considered, I am hoping this skill will be about 1.50x bigger than the biggest previous skill, whichever you think the biggest one was
Also, world 7 launch itself will feature wayyyy more things than just the skill and some maps -- I won't say them all, but think things like Statues, Meals, Beanstalk-esque side features, and more more more. I am not close to a release day at all, but I will announce the release date 1-2 weeks in advance.

This is probably because they are not yet in the game.

I'm also at a bit of a crossroads regarding something big, that being the "full release" of IdleOn on Steam. Let me just say simply that you as the player really don't care about this, so you can stop reading if you're just here for New Content Posts. But I do bring it up for two reasons:

For many Steam games, a full release is their way of saying goodbye and moving on. This is obviously not the case for me, a full release for IdleOn is merely a technicality, and not a goodbye. I want to make this clear now, so that if there are discussions in the future regarding IdleOn's full release being the end of updates, you can officially tell them theyre wrong -- not to mention we all know I'm at least doing to do World 8 like I said I would in 2020.

Further, if I decide that now is the time for the full release, I will likely be delaying World 7 so that I can release even MORE stuff all at once, namely being a few more "idle" multiplayer features that will be accessible to all players, not just people who have beat world 6. I only get to do a "full release" once, so I want to make it count.
I figured many of you would appreciate being in the loop of something that looms quite heavy in my mind. I am leaning toward this being the best moment for a full release... well 2nd best time, the best time was probably 3 years ago lol... but I'll make up my mind in the coming days and let you all know.
Summary: I'm torn between releasing World 7 in ~4 weeks, or releasing World 7 with a few extra content updates at the same time but in ~8 weeks. I'm leaning toward the latter, but will say officially soon.

As much as we all love suspense, and I'll be leaving you in suspense after this until I announce w7's release date (still many weeks away), I wanna update you on whats going on:

There won't be a huge multiplayer feature (reasons explained later), I have instead shifted my focus to making World 7 itself feel more alive -- that's what we are here for after all. Maps are visually intriguing and unique, and feature TWO points of interest each, including secrets and new mechanics, and despite saying this is 1/3rd of w7, there are MORE maps in this first update of W7 than the ENTIRETY OF W6.

There will be a "bonus-sharing" system to encourage you to help newbies, done through the Friends Tab of codex. This will not involve gemshops or bundles, but rather will be based on your Tome Score. I ultimately figured that this is the most effective way of giving you guys a way to connect with new players. And as for the new guild stuff, I would rather focus my efforts to expanding Guilds & adding in Server-Wide competitions in a weekly update -- simply put, "give all my energy to w7 now, then all my energy to guilds after" is my motto at the moment. This could serve as a good mental break to spend a few weeks inbetween doing W7 parts 2 & 3.

I will be adding a few more fun minigames like Hoops to W1, but standardizing them and integrating them into the game with their own shops, where you spend pts you earn by playing them on some minor bonuses.
Here's what to expect from World 7:
1 very cool skill -- it's very simple and not confusing, but its very complex in how many upgrades there are!
TONS of monster maps AND alternative routes, each fitted with secrets and new content to engage with (in other words, World 7 is MORE than just platforms with monsters on them)
New content for almost EVERY system in the game! It would be easier to count the systems that **dont **have new content.
