that's the problem with not having specific accounts for beta testing. i don't know if that has changed by now but when I was a beta tester, we used our own accounts and giving us the ability to skip time was not an option because it would be an unfair advantage and even if it was reset at the end, then I'd lose progress of that whole time, so I'd not use my account anymore.

The thing most regular consumers don't understand is that "on rough average" around ~90% of the money comes from the top ~10% spenders. So even if you get more spenders by keeping the price low, if it's a 1 time purchase there won't be much more money since the actual big spenders (whales) don't have much to spend on. Guy still needs to make a living.

In my opinion that could have still easily be solved and tuned a lot better for companions, making it accessible to all. (mentioned this a while back) Even though I hate Battle Passes, it would have been the ideal thing for doot. F2p gets it after doing 100 dailies or something, as simple as 100 daily logins (or combine it with tasks), hell get even worse and gate the doot reward line behind a 10 buck purchase which wouldn't be "that" bad. Then sell the extra tier skips and stuff with rewards along the way. Whales would still insta-purchase that doot and spend the 100's, while others would be time gated and still get it.
Could still toss the free weekly/daily attempts for people to be lucky. e.g. along the pass itself, extra chances at companions, other companions, candies, all that type of stuff. Essentially rewarding daily activity/log ins.

I can't call it amazing because we told lava as soon as w4 came out that this is not the way. What did we build up 10 characters for if 7/8 at that time had to sit in lab. His response was adding another mechanic exactly like it in w5, so I stopped playing for a while and then he came around with salvation in form of doot. Of course it got him a bunch of money but only because he purposely created a problem that made doot even necessary and by going about it the way he did, he screwed over every casual player, or more accurately, every non-whale.

Better answer: We start with a positive number. This is the amount required to unlock the portal. After you unlock the portal, the number goes negative.

So imagine the portal requirement is 10 million kills and you've completed 30m kills, you're saved as -20m. Now, w6 drops and the portal requirement drops from 10m to say 1m. Your value of -20m doesn't change. DeathNote now thinks you've only killed 21m instead of 30m.

But instead, we had to wait for an entirely new world that only made the problem worse and then came around with a whale-only fix to the problem. that's not doing something in good faith....that's a cold-hearted business decision and the moment the argument "solo dev" lost all meaning to me

i heard 3 colo 2 runs are possible with 1 cast of the orb talent? I already turned the DR prayer off but the resources still take a while to disappear and I struggle with even getting 2 runs into 1 orb, not to mention 3. So am I misinformed or is that true?

for some reason if you clear the first wave too fast, those resource will last for like 30-40 sec before it changing to next wave

Magma mostly better for sample.
Kattle top+legs with Magma head+feet better for the (mob respawn) which increases your afk kph.
Kattle head+feet with Magma top+legs better for active DR/dmg

Essentially you would mix and match depending on what you are doing (afk kills vs active DR type of stuff)

Although on someone without insta respawn mechanics youd want kattle top/legs
Bubo/ES would like the extra stats from magma (for more money and/or more dmg for wormhole push)
