Sure, that works. Overall imo the games that can get away with truly no HUD are the ones that are the most polished, where you lose yourself in them and don't even miss it. Phas didn't need one for the longest time b/c of its simple gameplay, but that's in the rearview now.

It was already hunting then. The summon circle teleports an already hunting ghost to the circle, or if you didnt have enough sanity for last candle (which is why it was being blown out) then it also just kinda bypasses the summon ghost event part of the circle

Im sorry to heard that, sadly, there is no fix, way to revert it, or hope of a possible fix, the only way to kinda fix it, is to not drop objects on the floor, just drop them on tables or furniture

Nope. If the Kormos finds you in an official hiding spot, it ends the hunt.

But if it does that, the next hunt has 0 grace period and if it doesn't detect anyone, it'll head straight for the place it last saw you
