on a more technical standpoint : once the internal code decides to have the wraith use its ability it will then randomly choose a player currently alive and inside the house. it will then teleport to their exact position while leaving either an emf 2 or emf 5 at about leg height and then begin roaming back to its ghost room. for all intents and purposes the ghost is physically at that players location and can be talked to via spirit box and give dots (the wraiths other evidences) as well as event and hunt from that location. additionally like with all ghosts the area the ghost is currently in will slightly cool down, while the area it used to be in will get slightly warmer again and it can trip motion sensors and with wraith specifically you can theoretically do a big brain play and know where it has to go next to return to its ghost room and watch if it doesnt step into salt on its way back (which lorewise is explained by wraiths basically floating almost all the time btw, even if the ingame ghost model ofc doesnt show that, because then that'd be either an immediate tell or you'd need to implement it for all other ghosts too and have them also not touch salt and just frick up the current wraiths tell)

but the salt check through its ability is very unreliable, since it could technically just teleport to a different player or take a different route or just decide to stay

Me and a friend were talking about Moroi being the fastest with los, but then if you also add 150% ghost speed, 8 forest minions that all boost ghost speed by like 10%(and is stackable from what I've heard), a blood moon that boosts seed by 15% couldn't the ghost be at like 11 speed. Would the game even be able to handle that?

On Cursed Hollow event maps, if the speed multiplier due to jackalope interactions is greater than 1.0 (meaning you have had more jump scares than run aways), then the Revenant will move at its faster speed of 3.0 m/s regardless of its ability. Certain ghosts MUST show a certain evidence type in games with less than 3 evidence set, for example deogen and moroi have spirit box as forced evidence meaning that spirit box has to be one of their shown evidences

Can only cross off if you’re playing 3 evidence mode. In 3 evidence mode, if a ghost throws the ghost writing book without having written in it, you can cross off ghost writing. Almost everything else is a judgment call. Are you fairly certain you know the ghost room and don’t see a ghost orb? Cross it off. Know the ghost touched a door and no UV prints? Check a few touches to be sure but you can cross it off. I never cross off EMF 5 or dots because ghosts can be really stingy with those evidences.

Dump all the equipment in the entrance. If you've got tier 3 headgear, wear that instead of a torch but make sure to turn it off when ghost is hunting. Carry incense with you plus evidence. If you're doing a smaller map, that will be easier but if you're doing apoc challenge it's harder. When moving items to ghost room, I bring pairs of evidence, e.g salt and uv.

Computer ist locked up, I always have to powercycle/hard reset it, so yes

1. Stay crouched to break LoS, so ghost doesn't speed up too much
2. Use Sprint only a little bit at a time so you don't run out,
3. Keep your eyes on the ghost in case it doubles back.
4. Be aware of obstatcles so you don't get caught up on them.
