Upgraded thermometer will be better, but if it's not a very active ghost, the thermometer can be your most reliable way of spotting the exact ghost room

Hey! I have a question, does anyone know why the sound recorder isn't working?? Everytime it either speaks on the spirit box, makes a noise or writes in the book I click record but it's not coming up as evidance

If you're using the T1 thermometer my advice is, when the power is on and the rooms are all warmed up, pay more attention to long drops in temperature. Non ghost rooms are not going to fluctuate much. That is a good start

I was stood right infront of the spirit box, it was on the floor while I held the recorder, clicked it once and saw the red light was on, once it was done talking I clicked it off, red light gone but it's not registering at all, even with the book, stood right infront of it

Like if rooms are hovering around 20 C and you walk in a door and the meter starts dropping and dropping you are probably in the right area

I usually just keep an eye out for where I can see my breath fog the air, but I do get thst a thermometer is more reliable.

if its snowing, breathe won't matter as any room can have it. learn what is on the floor, unless its a banshee following you, seeing picture frames on the floor might not be the room but its almost always close by

That's another good way to do it. I don't have great luck seeing my breath. On colder days or with better thermometer it's a bit faster than breath. I guess if you're playing on amateur if the power starts on, you don't need to worry about warming up so finding breath is fine. I got into the habit of relying on thermometer because it can take time to warm up/cool down and it's easy to miss the room in that time frame

Hold your button. Once to turn it on, then press and hold to record. It should make some indication that is recording. Video cameras work the same way

i have custom settings so only a demon can hunt, i start with 100 san, 0 drain and use the mirror then wish for activity, check for orbs and spirit box, if its neither of those i wait the minute out and if i dont die within a minute i leave and restat

Demon still has a high threshold even without ability so you might have cooked the mirror too long

Are there any bugs on Tanglewood right now? My duo and I just had a game with a mare where it killed her within 3 mins of us being in the house, our sanity was high (mine was high 70s when I checked the van afterwards, which honestly seemed even too low tbh) and we kept lights on, etc. We play on intermediate. We saw ghost orbs so assumed it was a mimic mimicking a demon, but nope, it was mare. This has to have been a glitch right, or am I missing something??

In nightmare and insanity, if the ghost throws the book, does that mean its hiding it, or does it mean it doesn't have ghost writing at all?

The whole point of the Mimic is to Mimic a ghosts abilities, so yes, it can Mimic a Rev/Deo and have its speed. However, Mimics can only Mimic a ghost after 1 minute has passed in the investigation, and it cannot change mid-hunt

bunnies that jump at you increase the movement speed, the ones that run decrease it and as I just found out, the ones just sitting and looking like they're burning or something are starting a hunt that ignores the crucifix.. and sometimes their running gets glitched

Each bunny makes the ghost 10% faster or slower. But often when you activate a bunny the ghost caps its speed at its max. So it wont slow down anymore

I had a ghost do a ghost event that chased me and 1 second later after it finished it started a hunt right behind me

apparently they can start hunts when they're outside of the ghost room if they did a ghost event and got you below the hunting threshold

and they decide to hunt right after

Sanity has to be below threshold. The ghost can hunt whereever it is. So it can roam to the other end of the house and start hunting there

The new bug report site is kinda bugged... I wanted to report that I can't find the special foil badge for Cursed Hollow - which according to the site is a bug to be reported - but then I can't submit the complaint without naming maps, ghost weather etc -- which has nothing to do with the problem. And you can't leave it blank. And when you then fill it out, you still can't submit it. Any hints?

I had that happen too when I reinstalled windows. My case number, some progress and badges./ trophies were gone

Thankfully they helped out and got my progress back, by I couldnt get my case number and stats back

Different thing: Why don't they give the sound sensors a second meaning (or even a first), in making it possible to record sounds from the van? Make tier 3 quasi a sound recorder / paramic for ghost noises. I only use the damn sensor when I want to know where a "room" ends on campgrounds...

Sound sensors are really good at finding the ghost room when it comes to large maps. I always bring them when playing SM, Brownstone, or Prison

AWww im so annoyed, I was wanting to try the apocolypse challenge annnnd i wasn't getting any intereaction on some rounds, others i left cause the objectives were too hard for the challenge, others I died trying to get away from the ghost to end up walking straight into them - but I would guess the ghost at random....I got to a point where I was like I'm done, can't be bothered as of course cant get evidence and I don't know the ghosts well enough to know what it would be so left because I wasn't getting anything and guessed at random - I only guessed the guessed the ghost correctly! So if i'd have managed to get the objectives done and got a picture I'd have done it! but there was just nothing happening! Probably be the case of something happening across from where i was to go there and the ghost end up where I was or something, sooo annoying 🙃 🤦🏻‍♀️
