If you're 100% sure nobody's cheating, then you might've just lagged and the ghost found you in the garage while on your screen you were in the locker, it's quite a common desync.

The only “bug” I’ve heard about with the ghost spawning outside has been it spawning in the garden you can’t reach. There was a bug in the early days where the ghost could spawn in the van but that was patched a long time ago

I did watch some videos and stuff, and generally when I first started I would research certain things that happened. Like - ghost flips light switch off every time I turn it on, potential sign of a Mare. If I see potential signs then I will grab the evidence types I need to verify that ghost just to confirm my suspicion

@misty marlin so to give you an idea of sanity on a map like Bleasdale (medium): On intermediate, your sanity drain in the dark is about 1.5% per minute during setup, and 2.5% per minute normally.

Here's one thing you could do: Haul all the gear you'll need at the start, and open the front door the first trip. That gives the ghost more time to chill its room, which could make it easier to find, and will make freezing temps feel easier to get.

Sometimes a ghost event is almost like a hunt but it's doesn't kill you. I'm not sure about your experience but I have encounter many where the ghost is full-on class 5 spectral manifestion with no hunt

I had a class 5 kid chase me around the dinning table full manifestion but it was just chasing me. Not a hunt. Had it gotten me it would have just lowered my sanity as a ghost event can typically do.

Can anyone help me identify this ghost somehow?
I'm trying to do more identifying ghosts by hunts, this ghost keeps hunting but changing to 2 speeds? What I think is normal speed then a bit faster, the only evidence I have is orbs (on 1 evi, would try to get more (incase of mimic) but it's constantly hunting.) I've only just got back into phasmo after the new ghosts were added. Does this sound like any of them????

I normally play like 10x, but I am not great at testing for onryo's, mares, yurei's etc.

some evidences can be elimated under these circumstances:
Writing: when the book is thrown before it's been written in
Orbs: when you're CERTAIN you're in the right room and don't see any (check twice, orbs may just be obscured by furniture)
Spirit Box: following DOTS, salt-walking, or events, and you're certain all the lights are off and the ghost didn't respond
UV: when touching a door, a light-switch, or stepped in two piles of salt consecutively without leaving UV evidence AND Obake is already ruled out

DOTS and freezing can't ever be eliminated properly, but on 3ev, if it's been at 1-3'C for over 5 minutes, it's like 99% eliminatable

It depends on how many is in your team. We are two, so we determine ghost room by me walking around with temp (if there's a drop in temp, its likely the room, and Pan will walk either with video camera and / or EMF. When we find the ghost room, I place down the book immediately and Pan drops his things to go get some more from the van, but generally we place dots, motion sensor and crucifix down, as soon as we can. Candle and such, we bring last, in terms of set up

Hear me out, Media recording: why can the system not disregard any media you have already recorded unless it is the only possible recording at the time? So, when you video the Ghost Orbs, it never prompts you to record them again, or tries to record them again. Why can't this happen with other videos, audio recordings, or photographs? My whole team is tired of having to turn off several pieces of equipment to try and record that one thing they still do not have. Candle is being blown but EMF5 is going off? Well, I know you already have EMF audio, but we are going to record that again instead of the candle being blown. You have already a video of the Motion Sensor going off? Well, I know the ghost is right in front of you, but it just set off the motion sensor so... guess what we are recording?
In the same way that the Ghost Orbs are a single record only, can we have the same for all other media? I know it is to make it that bit harder to get all the Unique Evidences, but it can become an excercise in frustrating your own players. As I said, I am good if you are trying to record something and the only possible recording is of something you already have a Unique Evidence for, maybe you want a duplicate for a full book, maybe you didn't know you already had this one evidence recorded, but if there is more than one option and you already have a Unique of one of the options, please, for all that you may hold sacred, can you just disregard that one option instead of 9 times out of 10 recoding that one thing!?
